A Worthwhile Sequel

Posted my review of the sequel to The Receptionist, Receptionist's Bonus! It's a great read so definitely check it out...!

On another note, some of you are probably curious about the bid I placed for that digital camera. Right now there's almost 13 hours left in the bid, and I'm still in the lead. Cross your fingers, people!!! I want to win this bid so fucking bad.

If I lose, btw, I'll try for another 4-megapixal cam right away. There's no way I can afford an 8-megapixal, for those of you who suggested it (wtf?!? didn't I make it clear I don't have a ton of money!?!).

All I can say is... WOW!

When I made this post last week I didn't anticipating getting such a reaction! I've received literally over one hundred e-mails on this topic since the 13th (that's 100 messages in four days!). There have been a lot of comments to that post, and a lot of posts in the forum (where a lot of people voted and sent me private-messages, too). It's amazing!

First of all, to all of you who contacted me but did not receive a reply, I'm sorry. I've really been overwhelmed by the response, and I simply haven't had time to make a thoughtful reply to each message. I assure you that I've read all of them, however, and I've labeled them in my GMail account to "follow up" with them. I really hope I get a chance!

Second, a lot of people have been suggesting, and not in a mean way (well, not always in a mean way!) that either I get a "real" job or a student loan to go back to school. My response to that is simple: I already have a real job, and I was denied a student loan late last month (part of the thing that brought upon this whole desperation for money). They denied me because I owe a huge amount of money on my previous student loan. Even though I wouldn't need as much now, the person I talked to said that I have to wait until I've paid back most of the original loan (apparently people sometimes try and scam the system by getting another loan after they have to start paying back the first one, just to make the payments stop). Also, my credit sucks really bad (credit cards!) so I can't get a regular loan from a bank right now.

Other people have suggested that I simply watch my expenses. Well, not to sound defensive, but I do! I'm actually really careful with my money, and I am getting by. It's just that I have car insurance, gas, rent (my biggest expense by far), cable (TV and Internet), credit-card bills, student-loan bills, medical bills (from a couple years ago), and my cell-phone to worry about, not to mention the necessities like food, clothing, and heroin (joking about the heroin!!!). I do go to the bar a lot (about twice a week with friends) but my drinks are usually paid for by others, so that's not eating away at my funds that much. Oh, and yes, I smoke, but I'm one of those rare one-pack-every-three-days smokers, so that's not a huge expense, either. I'm saying all this to let you all know that I do manage my money correctly-- I pay all my bills on time now and am actually able to save a little, too. It wasn't always like this, I'll admit, but it is like that now! :P

Sorry for that rant!!! Anyway, okay. Most people here have rejected the audio-files idea, or the phone-sex idea. I've received a lot of reasons why, and I totally understand! A couple people suggested I create "samples" of what those files would be like first. That's something I'm going to seriously consider, too, btw. But as for right now those ideas are dead.

The majority of you seem to want pictures of me, and most of the e-mails I've recieved suggest that some of you might even pay money to see them. Here's the thing, though (some of you cared about this, most didn't): I absolutely will not show my face! I would (if I decide to do this) end up doing "custom" pictures for each person who pays for them, but I just won't show my face in them. Why? Why is it such a big deal? Because I never want my real identity linked to this site!!! If this was a normal, "mainstream" adult site, I wouldn't care. But I don't want ppl I know in real life to ever discover this side of my sexuality. It would be humiliating and devestating. So... sorry! Don't ever expect to get any pictures from me with my real face in them (anymore, at least... some of you got a couple older pix of me in the past, through IM and what not). I just can't risk it. Every time I've done it in the past (usually while drunk or feeling incredibly lonely) I've spent the next three days feeling horribly anxious that someone I know at work, or through friends, or just on the street, is suddenly going to laugh at me and say, "Hey! You're Shannon, the slut who loves stories about incest and rape!!!" Shudder.

Does that make me sound paranoid? I guess. I mean, I know the chances of such an encounter ever occurring are very, very small. Still, to dramatically increase the number of people who could link my face with this site (by selling pictures or whatever) would also dramatically increase the chances that I'd be "found out". If I didn't have a heart-attack first from the anxiety, the day would come when that would happen. So... in short? If I decide to provide custom self-pics for a small donation, those pix will not include my face. Also, no web-cams (scratch that idea totally... no one seems interested unless I'd show my face anyway!).

This is where I stand now on this whole situation: I placed a bid for a digital camera (a decent one, btw!) on eBay earlier yesterday. I might lose the bid, but my intent is clear: I want a camera! If I win the bid (I doubt it... I bid pretty low) I'll consider doing the pictures thing. If I don't win the bid (or others that might follow it) I'll keep saving my money until I can afford one. I mean, there's really no point in worrying much more about this until I actually have my own digital camera, right? :P

My stripping business hasn't picked up very much since I began running ads in the local paper again earlier this month. I had hoped it would, because I really need the cash if I'm to go back to college (the plan is to re-enroll for fall classes later this year). I have one gig this coming weekend, but that's all. I'm beginning to worry that doing these private parties isn't going to provide me with consistant income like I'd once hoped. :(

Anyway, a fan of this site recently e-mailed me and suggested that I could do two things to a.) make money through the site while b.) remaining anonymous (sort of!). After a lengthy exchange of e-mails with him (during which I argued there's no way I could make money doing what he suggested) I decided to just ask you guys. So here it goes!

Would you be willing to pay me, via PayPal to a third party (so that you wouldn't get my real name or address) for the following:

1.) A set of naked pictures of me, maximum ten, all of which obscure my face? In the pictures I would hold up a piece of paper with your name on it, or whatever, to prove that they're real. But I would not ever take "hard-core" pictures of me. They'd be pix of me in various poses, but nothing "hard-core". So... would you donate to me for those pix? And if so, how much? The e-mailer suggested I could get at least $20 for such a set. I contend that I might get $10 from one person, but then he'd post the images everywhere and no one else would pay... :P

2.) Audio files (MP3's) of me reading my stories, and I would charge per chapter, per story. I'm not an actress but I would try my best to make them sound hot... Anyway! This one is more appealing to me (more anonymity), but I still think that once a few ppl bought the files the purchases would cease b/c they would suddenly get posted EVERYWHERE for all to d/l... for free.

3.) Phone(sex?). Basically his (the guy who e-mailed me) idea would be for you to make me a donation, and then I'd call you on my prepaid cellphone. I could charge a small fee to just chat (a chat that could lead to phonesex, but no guarantee), or a bigger fee that would guarantee phonesex. Either way I would have to call you and it would have to be from my prepaid cell (the one I use for my side business in order to assure my anonymity). Because of that there would have to be a time limit since prepaid cells cost a certain amount of money per minute per call... Again, I doubt anyone would be interested in such a complex arrangement but the e-mailer thinks I'm wrong.

4.) Webcam. I could buy a webcam and ask for donations in order to view it. As with all these ideas, such donations would be made via PayPal, and all donations would be required up front. I like this idea least of all because I wouldn't be able to be anonymous (unless I wore a mask or something!). Still, like the E-mailer pointed out, I could offer more (voice and visual) and therefore charge more.

Sigh. Look, I'm about $450 shy of having enough money to attend night classes at my college this fall. I know I can make that money by September with my day job but the problem is this: if my stripping business doesn't get better then I'll have no extra money for books, or gas (to drive to campus), not to mention extra cash to save towards the following semester. And if I can't be sure I can attend the semester after that, and the semester after that (at least), what would be the point on wasting what money I do have on school?

I need to find another way to make money. For some reason the stripping thing has dried up. I hope that changes, but so far it hasn't. And like the E-mailer suggested, perhaps the reason I created this website three years ago was that God wanted me to. Maybe I could make money off of it. Maybe this site could put me through college and eventually lead to a successful, fulfilling career.

I don't agree with this E-mailer. I don't think any of you would pay for anything from me from here! And that's not an insult. I love you, the site's visitors and fans. I just highly doubt you'd be willing to pay... hence this post.

Am I wrong? Would you pay? Because if I am wrong, you have to let me know. But please be honest in your replies!

Your responses will definitely dictate my future actions.

Please post here, on the forum. If, for whatever reason, you refuse to post, at least go there to vote in the polls I created. If you refuse to even do that, then comment here anonymously or just contact me.

Ads in the Forum!

Yes, there are ads in the forum. Again!

I just want to make sure everyone knows I don't receive one red cent from the ads that have recetly begun displaying in the forum.

I don't get one dime for running this site! I'm able to run it here, for free, because ASSTR has been kind enough to let me host the site on their servers (hence the asstr.org domain name!). Since ASSTR doesn't have the technical capablities to let me run a forum on those servers, though, my forum is run off a third-party site called Rapidforum. Now, Rapidforum lets us do a lot of cool things, but unlike ASSTR.org they're a for-profit company. Rapidforum wants to make money! To do so, they insert nasty, intrusive, and annoying ads into any forum they host.

Rapidforum makes money off of those ads. I do not!

My forum would be as ad-free as this site if I knew a reliable place to host it 100% free. Unfortunately, no such site exists. And so, we're forced to suffer the consequesnces: pop-ups and sidebar ads, in exchange for a totally free, cool place to talk and exchange ideas (and porn sometimes!). I think it's a fair trade-off, which is why I keep the forum up.

Now, in the past, some awesome and generous members of the forum (and our little site!) have paid Rapidshare's $3.75+/month rate to remove the ads from there. Just very recently, the last such purchase expired, so the ads have returned. I hope that all of you will continue to register there, and post there, so that our community can continue to thrive! Even though the ads are back, I hope none of you are scared away. I'm like you: I hate ads!!! Still, if seeing them is the price of freedom... shrugs! :)

...oh! And if any of you are willing and able to pay Rapidshare's rate for a no-ad site, please see this thread in the forum about it. Or just e-mail Spencer directly, whichever! :P

Hey everyone! I've been meaning to do this for a couple weeks, and I'm really sorry for taking so long to do it.

You might remember my post on December 11th of last year where I posted a blog entry entitled "Gone but Not Forgotten". When I wrote that entry I was sort of bummed out b/c the ffstories.com version of this site had been officially dumped and I was beginning to think that no one online cared anymore, about me, or my site, or anything at all... but how wrong I was!

First, the full transition back here (to the ASSTR.org version of the site) has finally solidified, I think: most of the ffstories.com ppl have found their way back to the "old forum"; the "what happened to you?" e-mails are pretty much gone, and hits here to this site have increased dramatically (to just shy of normal, in fact). I'm so happy! I was seriously worried for a while that the take-down of ffstories.com might be a death-knell for my little corner of the web... thanks to visitors like you, though, it wasn't.

You might also remember an entry I posted on December 8th, 2005, where I made a Christmas Wishlist. I was totally embarrassed about posting that entry, but at the time I was feeling really neglected (December was a bad month). I hardly expected any kind of response to that post. Unfortunately all the video files are chopped up into small sized tidbits, which might be useful to dial-ups but pisses me off b/c I prefer big, full files instead (you can, however, save them to your hard-drive, which is a huge plus). Also, the free images and video clips in the preview area of the site are definitely of the site's hottest girls-- some of the movies and images are of, let's just say... less pretty ones. I mean, I only added that one b/c I'd recently discovered it, but I figured no one would be intrigued by the site's fetish (schoolgirls getting spanked-- no sex!!-- over and over) the way I was. Well, the site is awesome! I find the content really amazing, and would highly reccommend it (A+ rating) except for one thing: all the video files are in "Realplayer" format. I hate Realplayer!!! Thankfully, there are several really long movie scenes you can d/l as one big file, but the majority of the scenes on the site have to be d/l one (small) piece at a time. Shrugs! Of course, back then I never read comics that were "adults only"... anyway! Great site. No movies (except a couple of cheaply made, sort of cheesy ones of the author/illustrator... she's milf-hot but that doesn't excuse the lame, LAME musak in the background) and no "real" pictures, but you get full-access to the "Housewives at Play" comic book series. It's a really cool, very sexy series. Unfortunately, the ridiculous nature of the comic's overarching theme begins to wear on you after a while (I rolled my eyes a TON during issue #10), but it's still very hot. Well illustrated, very raunchy, and very VERY sapphic. If this sounds like your type of thing I give the site an A rating. Otherwise, my rating for it has to be a lonely little B. :P

Ed: Out of nowhere, along came Ed! Just this night he sent me a totally unsolicited e-mail to give me a u/n and password to a porn-site that wasn't even on my wishlist: http://www.couplesseduceteens.com/ . He said that he wanted to make me cum the only way he could, and lo and behold, I have access to this site. And it's a great site. A site with flaws, but a good one overall. Still, the site is obviously set up to promote DVD and VOD (Video on Demand) sales (they provide tons of links for these services) rather than providing actual, site-originating enjoyable content. From what I've seen of the site so far the conent is stellar: the actors are actually hot (yay!) and the actresses fit their roles (no 30-something retreads pretending to be 18 or whatever). Also? What you see in the free preview area of the site is absolutely accurate. All the girls are that hot, all the content is that hard-core. This site would totally get an A in my book if only they allowed you to d/l (save) the clips. Or if they allowed you to watch an entire scene in one sitting... or if they'd ever let you d/l (save) an entire scene, I'd give it an A+ for sure! Instead I give it an A-. :)

Happy New Year!

Another new year... will these things ever stop coming?!? :P

So things have been kind of boring lately, which is part of the reason I haven't had the urge to do any updates (nothing major to report). Another reason is pure procrastination... I need to get off my butt and start reconstructing the website, and I just don't have a ton of motivation to do that right now! I mean, there's still a lot of content I need to repost to some areas of the site (especially the Stuff About Me section), including adding more story reviews (many were lost during the two site-shifts last year). I'm going to get around to it eventually, but... well, you know how it is!

The other day I drempt I was Jody from The Junkyard Family. I hadn't even thought of that story in quite a while, and I can't really remember ever having such a vivid dream about a porn story before, either. Very strange... and also highly erotic! I know, I know, if you've read the story and know about the character Jody you're going to think I'm fucked up for a.) dreaming I was her and b.) getting aroused by it. But there it is. Color me fucked up! :P I just wish it had been a lucid dream... and that it had lasted longer. I ended up re-reading the story that very day it had me so charged-up.

I am really, really strange, aren't I? It would have been more normal if I'd drempt I was Keri in that story. Whatever.

Okay, there, I just added a new review. It's not the best story in the world but it did the trick for me earlier last month and I've been meaning to add it... enjoy!
