My stripping business hasn't picked up very much since I began running ads in the local paper again earlier this month. I had hoped it would, because I really need the cash if I'm to go back to college (the plan is to re-enroll for fall classes later this year). I have one gig this coming weekend, but that's all. I'm beginning to worry that doing these private parties isn't going to provide me with consistant income like I'd once hoped. :(
Anyway, a fan of this site recently e-mailed me and suggested that I could do two things to a.) make money through the site while b.) remaining anonymous (sort of!). After a lengthy exchange of e-mails with him (during which I argued there's no way I could make money doing what he suggested) I decided to just ask you guys. So here it goes!
Would you be willing to pay me, via PayPal to a third party (so that you wouldn't get my real name or address) for the following:
1.) A set of naked pictures of me, maximum ten, all of which obscure my face? In the pictures I would hold up a piece of paper with your name on it, or whatever, to prove that they're real. But I would not ever take "hard-core" pictures of me. They'd be pix of me in various poses, but nothing "hard-core". So... would you donate to me for those pix? And if so, how much? The e-mailer suggested I could get at least $20 for such a set. I contend that I might get $10 from one person, but then he'd post the images everywhere and no one else would pay... :P
2.) Audio files (MP3's) of me reading my stories, and I would charge per chapter, per story. I'm not an actress but I would try my best to make them sound hot... Anyway! This one is more appealing to me (more anonymity), but I still think that once a few ppl bought the files the purchases would cease b/c they would suddenly get posted EVERYWHERE for all to d/l... for free.
3.) Phone(sex?). Basically his (the guy who e-mailed me) idea would be for you to make me a donation, and then I'd call you on my prepaid cellphone. I could charge a small fee to just chat (a chat that could lead to phonesex, but no guarantee), or a bigger fee that would guarantee phonesex. Either way I would have to call you and it would have to be from my prepaid cell (the one I use for my side business in order to assure my anonymity). Because of that there would have to be a time limit since prepaid cells cost a certain amount of money per minute per call... Again, I doubt anyone would be interested in such a complex arrangement but the e-mailer thinks I'm wrong.
4.) Webcam. I could buy a webcam and ask for donations in order to view it. As with all these ideas, such donations would be made via PayPal, and all donations would be required up front. I like this idea least of all because I wouldn't be able to be anonymous (unless I wore a mask or something!). Still, like the E-mailer pointed out, I could offer more (voice and visual) and therefore charge more.
Sigh. Look, I'm about $450 shy of having enough money to attend night classes at my college this fall. I know I can make that money by September with my day job but the problem is this: if my stripping business doesn't get better then I'll have no extra money for books, or gas (to drive to campus), not to mention extra cash to save towards the following semester. And if I can't be sure I can attend the semester after that, and the semester after that (at least), what would be the point on wasting what money I do have on school?
I need to find another way to make money. For some reason the stripping thing has dried up. I hope that changes, but so far it hasn't. And like the E-mailer suggested, perhaps the reason I created this website three years ago was that God wanted me to. Maybe I could make money off of it. Maybe this site could put me through college and eventually lead to a successful, fulfilling career.
I don't agree with this E-mailer. I don't think any of you would pay for anything from me from here! And that's not an insult. I love you, the site's visitors and fans. I just highly doubt you'd be willing to pay... hence this post.
Am I wrong? Would you pay? Because if I am wrong, you have to let me know. But please be honest in your replies!

Please post here, on the forum. If, for whatever reason, you refuse to post, at least go there to vote in the polls I created. If you refuse to even do that, then comment here anonymously or just contact me.

Hey Shannon. That didn't sound very self-confident, you doing ok? I know how much you value your privacy and can understand why you would be unwilling to do some of the above listed ideas. I did have a thought when I read the webcam suggestion though. Have you ever thought about working somewhere like "i-friends" or one of the other million sites like it? Granted, that also wouldn't be annonymous, but nobody would have to know that you are "Shannon of FF fame". I've had some friends who have done it, and it is very possible to make some decent money doing it. It was just a thought. Think it over.

I have thought for a while that you could have a private website for members. Werent there pictures of you not long ago including you in a tanning booth? You would do well if you had webcams and/or photos on a site. I would also pay for some private photos or videos.Regardless, I think you are cool.
i-friends.com is great if you want to sit around your house naked all day waiting for somebody to agree to your fees. Which after a week, could turn out to be... nobody.

Now, there are two routes to go.
One is a professional one, whereby a regular business is set up.
This may or may not bring in steady cash.
It would depend on the time and effort put into the business.
The other would be to do it in a very unprofessional manner.
Which might bring in some money from those who are curious but it would hardly be consistent.
Why not just do something simple.
Pick up a paper and look in the classifieds for "Nude Models Wanted" and just do some part time modeling in whatever city you live in. You won't get rich but it will bring in some regular spare cash and won't cause any concerns.
Shit hon, I looked for a "donate to paypal" button the first time I visited and read your stories.
You may not make as much on each punter who's just donating to be nice, but you'd probably have lots of folks who'd pay a bit, say $5 to $20 a month just to say thanks for the stories.

My 21yo fiance makes about $100-$150 a day doing webcam shows with or without phone/Skype chat on the days she works.
(If you do decide to do phonesex, I'd recommend you register on skype.com and get a headset - then you can call out cheaply to international customers too, or you can even buy a SkypeIn number, and let your customers call you - the number can't be traced to you without going to Skype with a court order, and you can just log out of Skype when you don't want to be called, or block individual users, and users with Skype can call you for free)
The problem is that most of the traffic is in the late evenings, but you can work around that if you like by registering with a non-US service like AdultWork (www.adultwork.co.uk), giving you 5-8 hour time difference to your advantage depending on where in the US you are.
You could probably make more than her, because I'm sure regular visitors to your site would be more inclined to pay than random strangers - for random strangers you'd have to compete solely on looks etc., and not showing your face would be a disadvantage (my fiancee doesn't show her face either).
That said, if your voice is sexy enough, I might be interested in buying audio versions of your stories (post a short "preview" and let people judge...) or perhaps a subscription where we get audio versions of your stories, "early previews" of new chapters (post it to members a couple of weeks before the rest, in an audio version) and a few updated pics now and again... Offer choice, then let your customers decide what you focus on based on what sells best.
As for the guy posting the long post comparing your suggestion to Jenna Jamesons site etc.: Ignore it. The reason your site appeals to people is because you come across as a real girl with real problems etc.
That is why lots of "amateur" sites with "amateur" models who's only claim to the name "amateur" is that they don't look like they've spent years only working out and getting plastic surgery makes lots of money.
I read your site for two reasons: I like reading your stories, and I like reading your blog entries, and not only for the juicy bits. I bet that if you do phonesex/Skype chats, you'll find guys willing to spend money on it just because they "connect" with what you write, or want to talk about your stories, or want to hear more about some particular thing you've written about.

So set up a Paypal account, get a headset - a wireless one makes things a lot easier if you want to combine with webcam - and a webcam and give it a try. You'll easily recoup the initial costs, and then you'll soon find out if it's worth the work.

this book is by someone who has been through the worst of hells and survived. i would recommend it for anyone thinking of getting into the business of sex. she actually lived it and lived the best and worst parts.
as for that whole phone sex thing, i have friends who tried it. those that do it seriously made money and those that tried it only, didn't make enough to have it seem worthwhile.

personally, I think you could get buy without compromising your identiity. If you were consistent with your posting of "juicy" stories of your life--which is what brought me to this site and which makes your site different than all the others out there--I'm sure many people would pay for access. The only problem is that it would require a regular production on your end which might be too time consuming. Anyway, just my 2 cents.
i'll prob go to your forum later but i'd def pay for pics and maybe some on the webcam for a reasonable price. incidentally a members site perhaps with some edited vids e.g. never show your face could work. I think too you over estimate how many people would post your pics elsewhere and i don't think anyone here would shortchange you by getting your pics for free anyway at best they probably would just not look for them.
If you think the phone sex etc. would be a fun way to make money, go ahead and have a blast. But you should know that there's scholarship money that schools offer that is going to upper middle class and wealthy students, because the students who really need scholarship money aren't taking the time to do the research to find out about it.
As someone who now has lots of experience putting together creative financing, I have to tell you that a few hundred dollars for books should be a piece of cake if you're willing to search out community scholarships (many of which get only one of two applicants each year), write a few apps, etc. If you lived in this area, I could quickly connect you with potentially hundreds of dollars of local scholarship money. It's out there, you just have to be willing to plug into your social network, and meet those friends of friends of friends who know the score. I once had one of my connections*beg* me to apply for a scholarship worth $500 because she had only one other applicant who was a total bonehead -- I didn't really need the money that semester, but I applied for it and got it. The other thing is, once you start getting these little scholarships, everyone wants to give you another one -- because your resume shows you have lots of scholarships.
So I managed to minimize my debt in undergrad and make it through grad school totally debt-free by working constantly while in school -- and by playing the system for scholarship money. By my last semester of grad school I was in such good shape that I actually *turned down* a scholarship because I had more than enough money. If a schmuck like me can do it, so can you. It wasn't easy, but it was worth it.
And good luck with college. My bachelors degree was totally worth it, so I went back and got a master's degree, and that was totally worth it, both in terms of personal satisfaction and in terms of my income level -- and best of all in terms of the respect I get at work and from friends. The weird thing is that the description and the name, all I can think of is me.
