What an Asshole

...

I am so angry right now. At this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uVLQhRiEXZs

...

I don't even know what to type.

...

So let me get this straight: Obama wants pre-schoolers to learn about sex before they can even read for immoral reasons. That's McCain's angle? That's what he's selling along with all the other snake-oil he's peddling!?

Grr!!! Obama supported that bill because IT TAUGHT YOUNG GIRLS WHAT SEXUAL MOLESTATION WAS!!!! Fuck!!! Obama even wrote about it in his book! He basically said, "Look, we need to let children know what sexual abuse is because if they don't know, they won't report it.". Doesn't that make sense?!?

It does to me. Only in my own personal experince, I didn't know until much later. See, I was taught in schools that didn't talk about stuff like that. I didn't learn in kinderkarten that a grown man's hand between... well, you should get the idea.

Trust me, children can be fooled about stuff like that. And one of the reasons I've always liked Obama is because he's always supported early sex-ed to children-- sex-ed that basically said, "If a man touches you in your bikini-zone, that's bad". Doesn't it make sense to teach that?!?

In short, Obama supported a bill in Illinois that taught what abuse was to children and now the right-wing whackos are trying to label him as some kind of pervert. Siiiiggghhhh.... I'm sort of thinking right now that they just don't want to reveal their own level of perviness.

I'm with you! I was assaulted as a kid (early teens though; so i sorta new what was going on, but was too young to fight / understand in full) and that sort of thing was never talked about back then.

Unfortunately, the right will distort, as will the left about McCain, in order to win at all costs. I'm mad too, but both sides are fucking up by distorting the truth, disenfranchising the bulk of us who recognize bullshit when we see it.

How can democracy work when it devolves into pandering to those who already have their closed minds made up via (party affiliation | biase toward a skin color | single issue voters | fill in your bias group here)?

I think democracy will eventually fall out of fashion (it is quite young after all) once the futility is recognized. True democracy depends on an educated public (Jefferson?) and as long as we continue to move away from that, the greater peril democracy is in.

So we'll go to the next form of government, which will resemble a socialist / communist party platform (does China's one party system really deviate much from our two party system? Hell no; our two party system is a sham and there is no real debate, only populist themes)

Fuck it, have another drink and fuck your neighbor if (s)he'll have you. Mine's pretty ripped :)

Maybe it's my age but when did it become the responsibility of the school system to inform kids what is right and what is wrong? I sure knew when I was 3 or 4 that no one was supposed to touch me there! The news came from my parents! Now that we have the "it's all about me" generation leaving the raising of their kids to others, why don't we have the school system go ahead and take them on camping and fishing trips too.

Aww, we wait ages for a post from you and then you hit us with a brilliant zinger like this!

I am angry about this 'abstinence only' bullshit (Hey, Sarah Palin - how's that worked out for your 17 year old knocked up daughter?)

But I think anonymous has a point - parents should have a responsibility to teach their kids what is an isn't appropriate - especially since these retarded rednecks are refusing to let them learn anything in school except creationism.

Just want to clarify that I STILL think they need to learn what they do in the classroom.

I think it's possible that half the point of having this taught in school is in case the kids' parents are teaching them that touching the bikini area is a good thing, if you get my drift.

I really don't think you should be all that suprised, i can't think of a presdential election that wasn't about mud slinging, taking words out of context and applying new and twisted ideals behind them, that is why they only quote about half of what they attribute him to saying. Not suprising, but oh well, couple months obama will be president, and won't have to hear the mud slung again for a couple years(beyond the rebuplians whining about how he is doing nothing blah blah blah)

*grew up with a die hard rebuplican and has had to listen to similar bullshit to this for all of my 26 years)

I just love what happens when a female rises to power that's not a radical feminist. They instantly get attacked by radical feminists. I'm tired of all the hippocracy (sp?) and am now just laughing at the show. It's kinda watching a bad Shakespearean actor who thinks his work is a world shaping event. Nothing but idiots being serious idiots and not understanding why the world is laughing at them.

If this was socialist country Obama would be a shoe in. Good thing it is still a society based on capatilism. Hate to break it to the Obama followers but not only is he going to lose, hes going out like Mondale in 84. (take a moment and look it up)

The choice of Sarah Pailn as McCain's running mate was a stroke of genuis if for nothing else than it shows how prejudiced and close-minded so-called liberals really are. Don't believe me? Look at the polls. Obama is falling behind because, once again, the country is being reminded of why they hate far left liberals so much.

i was taught about sex last year in 5th grade< that's why I'm here now reading these stories. thanks Obama. stay out of political shit and just keep the filth coming. none of these fucks care about any of us, if u think they do then just wait and see how WONDERFUL everything will be IF Obama is elected. He hasn't done shit for HIS state do you really think he's gonna do something 4 an entire country? John Mc Cain hasn't done shit either but I don't ever support a career politician. Pick up some delicious Obama waffles at Walmart, yum yum. I'm an ass and I know it, it just seems like noone changes anything that really matters to us as a nation. we all have so many different opinions that I doubt 1 man can make half of us happy. white, black or any other color doesn't bother me, heck I would vote 4 an alien-not illegal- if he'd actually do something 4 all of us. just living is hard enough on us but we vote these people in and they stab us in the back without us knowing it. if Obama would tell us some of his plans and stop attacking John Mc Cain eve4ryday I would definately consider him. PS I aqht all these labels we have to be rep, dem, cons, lib, I know we can't all get along but I just want most of what I earn on my own. instead of having it ripped from my paycheck a week before I get paid. i love all yall-not sexually- except for the ladies, i love yall sexually.

Well, before you all jump up and down and by the party line that McCain is lying, I think you should take a few moments and actually read the bill in question.

http://www.ilga.gov/legislation/fulltext.asp?DocName=&SessionId=3&GA=93&DocTypeId=SB&DocNum=99&GAID=3&LegID=734&SpecSess=&Session

Here is a link to make it easier for you. The Obama claim that it was just to teach little kids about bad touching simply isn't true. Part of the bill reads:

"Each class or course in comprehensive sex education in any of grades K through 12 shall include instruction on the prevention of sexually transmitted infections, including the prevention, transmission and spread of HIV."

It says comprehensive sex ed K-12. It doesn't make any distinctions that the little ones just get classes on good and bad touching.

But by all means read the whole bill before you start accusing people of lying.

Also, please get off the "She wants abstinence hows that working out" bandwagon. Teaching kids about condoms et al isn't 100% effective either, so its a foolish attack.

Great, so we are supposed to leave it up to the families to teach children about bad touching! Are you people just towing the party line because you feel you need too?? Don't, so called, conservatives know that more than 70% of child sexual abuse happens with FAMILY MEMBERS! Yes, absolutely children need to be told about this OUTSIDE of the home - because it it likely to be happening INSIDE the home...

The reason Republicans don't want sex ed is the same reason they don't want evolution in schools. When you teach science, religion begins to be reveiled for what it truely is, a way to pacify the masses.

Mr. Obama voted for the bill in committee, where it passed, but it never came to a full and final vote. The proposal called for “age and developmentally appropriate” sex education and also allowed parents the option of withdrawing their children from such classroom instruction if they felt that it clashed with their beliefs or values.

Yes, it is the responsibility of the parents to raise their children

No, the republicans do not want to teach creationism in school

Yes, Obama supported sex ed for kindergarteners.

Neither teaching abstainance nor teaching the use of safe sex practices are 100% effective.

America is not socialist, nor is it a democracy. It is a republic. This means that we are governed by law, not mob rule.

I hate to break it to you, but you have not only described pretty much every presidential candidate of the last 70 or 80 years, but every politician regardless of country who's been successful enough to be noticed by another human being. This election alone will not kill America any more than the last four or five have.

I'm with Obama on that. Hell, I was already planning on teaching my own kids that when i have kids. I think it's important that kids learn about these things, instead of always protecting them from it until they hit the "right age." We can't always be there to protect them until they reach that magical age, and with predators going after younger and younger victims we need to make them as aware as possible about the situation.

I still can't believe so-called "thinking people" would even bat an eyelid at an anti-Obama message that was *approved by McCain/Palin*

C'mon peeps - if you are reading this you are educated enough to know what hogwash looks like. You should be, after 8 years of it.....
