All Is Not Lost
...well, all is lost when it comes to politics in this country, but I was talking about something different. By the way, if any of you are wondering why I haven't written much about Black Tuesday, please know it's because I'm still in a deep state of denial!
Not much has happened during the past week. Well, except for the awful events of Tuesday and my introduction to stripping on Monday, that is! Wednesday was spent in a pretty bitter funk; Thursday was mostly a daze. Today I hung out with Leo, Star, and Frank. Star didn't work tonight because, well... she didn't feel like it (one perk, I guess, to her chosen profession). She keeps pestering me about whether or not I want to do it again. I have to meet with the "boss" before I can officially become a "contractor" there, but I've been dragging my feet setting up an appointment with him. I may give him a call tomorrow-- the thing is, I would like to have this as an option, you know? At the same time, I don't want to have to do it all the time. Star told me that she's expected to work four shifts a week (she usually works five or six), but that I may be able to get the boss to let me work only one or two. So we'll see.
I've been working a lot on TTT. I'm done with Chapter 11; Chapter 12 is at like... 65%; and I've begun chapter 13.
Okay, that's all. I'm sorry this post was boring!

It wasn't boring. Just glad to hear you aren't packing your bags & running off to the Great White North. However, if you ever decide to take off for the islands let me know.

All is not lost with the politics of the country, not that we had much to begin with. For that slight ray of hope, I suggest reading Michael Moore's "17 reasons not to slit your wrists" on his official website. Whether you like him or not, he does bring up a few nice points. Cheered me up anyway.
Shannon, I've been an on-&-off reader of yours for a while now, so I'm rather out of the loop. Are you still in school? What's going on with that?

I'll be less anonymous later - I'm too lazy to fill out the form now...
I firmly believe that in no way, shape, or form was any American citizen given anything resembling accurate information about the candidates views, records, policies, or pretty much any statement they ever made near a recording device.
The real crime is that, according to the Federal Election Commission, the 2004 House, Senate and Presidential Campaigns spent a total of 2,001,729,402.
Yes: Two BILLION dollars. That's twice what we spend on breast cancer research. In fact, it's about 15% more than the entire Food and Drug Administration budget.
Two billion dollars spent twisting the truth around - and yet you can get the truth for free at the Library of Congress website, or factcheck.org if you want it in summary.
So that's basically it: We spend more on video games than education... so does it really matter who is the President? Isn't the real scandal that Hawaii gets an unfair advantage voting on "American Idol"?
