Barack and Roll! Kinda...
Okay! So I'm happy right now b/c Obama wasn't crushed tonight... it's disappointing he didn't pull off any major upsets (in, say, NY or CA or MA) but at least his head is still above water and no one can claim that Hillary is now the presumptave nominee. So... yay! :P
True to my word I'm going through the comments on my previous thread. There ended up being 40 comments, but remember that for a comment to count it had to include the state you live in and a promise to vote for Obama. If 20 of those comments meet that criteria, I will post a picture of myself on this blog. A real picture of me. Right here. For the first time ever.
So let's go through the comments and see if you guys did it! (I'm writing this list in order, as I read the comments... oh, there was also the criteria that the comment had to have been made before 8pm eastern time!). So let's see whose comments qualified:
1.) Jason
2.) Anonymous 1
3.) Jim (swearing on the holiest document of all!)
4.) Austin (forgot to swear but his state, CT, was a big upset for Obama so I'll give it to him...)
5.) Pierce
6.) Rick
7.) RJ (almost disqualified but a Google search for "jayhawk" revealed that it's the mascot for the University of Kansas... so I guess that counts! :)
8.) Bethany
9.) ET (his second post saved his first from not counting!)
10.) Todd D. (he didn't swear but... close enough!)
11.) Murph (wife's vote didn't count b/c she didn't promise or swear!)
12.) Anonymous 2
13.) Justin
14.) Robert (Ooooo! Sorry, Robert's comment came in at 8:03pm so it doesn't count! ...but, Missouri did swing back to Barack at the last minute in the race so... yeah, I'll count it!)
Even with Robert's late vote being counted, though, we still ended up six votes shy of the margin needed for me to post a pic of myself. So my anonymity remains safe! Unless someone can audit these results and prove to me that I made a mistake or something? Shrugs... I'm too lazy to audit it myself so go ahead, make your case!

~relieved... about Obama not being crushed, and that I don't have to fulfill my promise! :P~
p.s. Here's a consolation prize in case no one can prove my initial review of the comments wrong:

I definitely promise to vote for Obama in CA. Although I was already planning on voting for him ;)"

I already voted for Obama in IL. Unfortunately, my vote doesn't count for much there. But I did vote.

Oh, and I don't believe in God, so it is hard to swear on anything. I do give my word."
Bringing the total of those that followed the format to 16 :(
there are also 7 good faith responses (those that stated that they either would or did vote but did not swear to it)
but anonymous 2 swore that they would go and actually caucus. Since I and everyone else just drove to the place and did their thing and then left (total elapsed time no more than a half hour) his vote should be worth more than one (very few people got Obama a lot of delegates relative to Clinton)
and mine should count twice because of my choice of document :)
What Jim said, I agree that there were actually 23 votes made in good faith and the caucus goer should also be rewarded; but given that Barack Obama won in delegates (according to Chuck Todd at MSNBC) for the night, and that he clawed back 15 points to gain a victory in Missouri—a victory that AP called for Clinton, and that her campaign sent out an email crowing over that non-truth —I figure that deserves a picture (especially considering the rather horrifying alternative of Hillary Clinton winning big).
How about an alternative: if Obama becomes President, we get a picture? Encourages us to go actually volenteer and do more than just vote? :).
You, sir, are a cheater:-p And a tease! Nice slaphappy vid!
Also the stuff page doesn't have the same links as the main blog page...kinda wierd:-(
I hope you are well. I will vote Obama if he is the democratic delegate. I hope desperately it isn't mccain clinton:-(
Damit, damit damit... I want to see your body Shannon!!:)
No fair! I didn;t see the post until today!
I voted for Obama and called friends to encourage them to do the same.
Tom in New Jersey
I wish I could have voted but I am neither republican or democrat. I am registered but independent. I live in VA too so sigh.. i would avoid clinton in a heart beat, I would have given Obama the vote if I could have.
I thought I posted this already, but I guess it didn't go through. Anyway, I think the comments did hit 20, if you look at it the right way. I mean, you didn't specify base 10 was being used, right? And 14 in base ten is written 20 in base seven. I think. Been awhile since I took a math class. I know for sure that 14 in base ten would be a big-ass number in base two, so I demand a recount!
Shannon,
Can we see you work on your people skills, if Obama wins?
Slow
Here is my list 2 are questionable however, I came up with 22, so that makes an even 20, if you do not count them. Those two would only not be counted by someone like Clinton trying to weasel out of a promise they made.

3. Bill Lanham, GA
4. John , CA (Questionable)
5. Jim, NY

10. Rick, AR (Questionable
