ASSTR: 'All is well'

Hey everyone! I finally received an e-mail reply from Rey del Sexo, an administrator over at ASSTR.org. He was quick to reassure me that ASSTR.org is doing fine and, in his own words: "All is well. We have no plans on disappearing or anything." This is good news for the site since it means that my paranoia the other day was misplaced.

Rey also addressed the site updates issue, and guess what? It looks like I was uploading my updates to the wrong directory! That's why my updates (outside of the blog, which I update via Blogger) weren't showing up before. I feel sort of stupid for that, but it's not entirely my fault. Well, maybe it is, but how was I supposed to know that I had two identical directories on the ASSTR ftp located under different root directories?!? I never knew that! I thought I'd always posted to the same place... Anyway, all's well that ends well!

Now that I know I can update the site I'll probably be making a few changes soon, chief among them adding Suburban Girl to the My Stories section. And maybe updating the very out-of-date About Me section. Stuff like that. I'll let you know if and when I do.

Oh, and I'm still working on that lengthy post I promised that will let you know more about what's been going on in my life lately. I swear!

p.s. I just tried checking out the Forbidden Forum and it doesn't seem to be loading... I have no idea what that's about. Hopefully nothing...

Just as an FYI - ASSTR has been around for over 10 years - since early 1997. While we run into snags from time to time with our servers, we perform work almost daily to keep things running as smoothly as possible. The best way you can help us out is to make a donation at http://www.asstr.org/donations.html Donations are used to pay the bills and repair/buy new equipment.
