Really super quick!
Really quick! I will post more tomorrow, but for now... let me ask this! I just had an idea.
No one is donating money to my site. Well, two people (total cash = $60) did. But that sucks. I am so so so so so so so so so..

...sosososososos, SO broke.
I didn't think anyone would, but it was worth a shot. And I really had hoped that the fans of my site would contribute! Oh, well.
Let me ask this though... what if I offered *sound files* to people if they donated to me? *ONLY* to ppl who donated, though? Sound files of me reading TTT (I'm a good actress btw! I can do multiple voices!)? Or just... I don't know.
I'd rather it just be TTT. Maybe I could read blog/diary entries. But I don't really want to do that. But would anyone pay $ (any amount?), to hear my *real* voice read TTT or, well, anything? I could post them to some secret part of the site... in one big file and also in several broken up files (for slow connections). I think I have a nice voice... very feminine, very sensual (when I want it to be!). I've been *told* that I'm awesome at phonesex. I can be a girl, a teenager, a woman... tenative, bold, slutty, shy... sincere, a liar... so long as its a feminine role, I can do it! (I do suck at male voices, though... shit, I do have guys in TTT. I can try though.)
Would anyone pay for that? Would any of you pay some money to hear me read TTT, or to read anything? Is my voice worth anything?!?

Please post comments! I really just got struck with this idea... I think that people would pay for this, but maybe I'm wrong. But either way, a voice is just a voice... my anonmity wouldn't be comprimised. However, why go through the hassle for nothing?
...but now I sort of want to do it anyway! But I won't. My webmaster won't let me. It would cost too much (for bandwidth). Complain to the SM... or promise you'll donate!

I'd toss a few bucks to the Shannon fund to help you out, except.. i couldn't be broker at the moment. To me, the best thing about the site is you. I'm not really a big fan of the type of stories posted, but you interest me more than enough to have me coming to the site almost everyday checking for updates. I say, unfortunately, without something really unique, people don't hand over cash. Meaning, basically, unless people are just fans of you, and those would be the people inclined to donate anyway, they probably wouldn't be interested in hearing you read a story.

Have you thought of doing phone sex for money? I'm sure that at most colleges, you'll find the flyers looking for phone work that turns out to be 1-900 numbers. I've been broke too, and had to do some distasteful things, but we all gotta do what we have to, to make ends meet(or at least get food).

I doubt it would work. I'd try mirroring what other successful blogs have done. You are the #1 value, don't forget that. The site is dead without you - so if you write often people will come. Use it, build a large fan base, and you may make enough!

I might have considered donating money had you ever answered the email I sent you. Not to be rude, but that's the way life works. When someone takes the time to mail you some instant gratification, especially in this cold and anonymous world known as the internet, it's good form to at least say "thank you."

Have you thought about doing a webcam. More than a few women are doing them now with carefully planned pics only of just their bodies or shots of their heads with their faces turned away from the camera or hidden by hair. Might be a good way to increase interest and donations.

Hi Shannon, I sitting here wondering if we are as all as low on funds as this on Oct 4th, can only look forward to a dismal Christmas. There have been a few ideas here put forth, your original of doing an audio of reading, and then the illustrious phonesex, which was followed quickly by the web-cam suggestion.
The one thought put forward holds true is that you are the draw, you. TTT goes with you. Having tried working on my own story, I've been distracted away to the point where it would be like starting over, and with the way things have been going for you, I can ever begin to wonder about you reaching back into Tina. But Tina was what drew those of use to the site in the first place. So maybe you might best be served to bring her activily, and then you might want to try the other ideas. Yes I believe a lot of the forum and your readers beyond have an interest in what you look and sound like. But with the idea of phonesex and the web-cam, you might want to think about it, and if it is something you could live with.
I'm not in your position, and haven't had to make choices like that,so I cannot say yea go do it, or don't do it.
Of course there is another question, is this about getting you necessities, or keeping the site going. If this about your personel life, then just do what you have to do, and myself, like most of the others, will not think the less of you.
I think you'd get a few "donations" for sound files, but you would make a lot more by posting pics of yourself (anonymous or not).
You might just consider opening a pay site on the side that offers all these "extras".
