My Computer is Back, and So am I

Just got my computer back from the shop last night, and things are starting to settle back to normal. It's kind of pathetic how my life just goes on hold without a computer around! I'll return to (ir)regular blogging soon. If I owe you email, I'll get back to you asap.

Seeing I repair computers for a living,
when mine is down(weekly because I pull parts out for people to repair theirs)
no one understands.

Last week was the time to go down! I had 3 customers down, 2 dead hard drives, and a person who installed his own software and it would not boot.

"your hard drive is dead!"
"Am I going to loose anything?"
"Nope, you have already lost everything"
"I haven't backed anything up for 3 weeks what am I going to loose?"
"What have you changed in the last three weeks?"
"Nothing much really, Are my email and bookmarks still going to be on there?"
"No" I wanted to say: What part of everything did you not get?

I told them they lost everything, then when I froze their hard drive and recovered most of their files, they were extatic. but made them sweat for a couple of days to remind them to back things up regularly for safety.

Hi Kelly,

my name is Johnny and I'm a second year student studying architecture in Singapore's National University. I own a personal blog/photoblog and I notice that most of my readers originate from Singapore. Most of them being my friends.

I am interested in finding out what blogging is like within other countries. Do they have an internal circle of friends' blogs to visit? And what do they write about? Is it possible for an Asian blogger to permeate and join this blogging community? I would think it would be amazing to exchange ideas and experiences from 2 very different but modern cultures.

Hope to hear from you soon. :)

Hi Johnny. I can't really speak to what you're asking--none of my friends (except my gf) knows about my secret life as a writer of smut, so anyone reading this is likely to be a stranger. As such, I don't feel like part of any community--I just use the blog as a way to communicate to my readers between stories.

Computers are like women, you never appreciate them until they go down on you.
