Let Girls be Girls

We stayed up last night to watch Tatu on Jay Leno. They sang their (annoyingly catchy) hit "All the Things She Said," which is a song about two teenage girls in love. During the instrumental bridge the girls presumably make out on stage. I say presumably because during the bridge the show only showed us the band members playing their instruments. Thus we're all cheated out of watching a couple of attractive young Russian Women kissing on national tv.

Yes, I know that their whole 'lesbian lotita' thing is just an act, designed to titlate us into paying attention to a mediocre girl pop duo. But dammit, I wanted to be titilated! Had the Tonight Show producers not seen Tatu's stage act? Do they thing that those of us up watching television after midnight can't handle the sight of two girls sucking face? This is the silliest bit of musical television censorship since Elvis was shot from the waist up.

On the plus side, earlier in the evening we finally got to see Willow and Kennedy get in some serious smootching on Buffy (made all the better by the very funny voice over from Andrew swooning over Xander's carpentry work). Yes, it sucked to lose Tara, but I'm very happy to see that Willow is finally moving on.
