SUMMARY: After getting kicked out of their hotel, Ronni and her friends are desperate. Their desperation leads them to a beach house; a beach house where, of all people, Scott is staying with some of his friends. I am speaking of course of the Scott whom Ronni has been known to secretly pine for, on occasion.

COMMENTARY: This story is not perfect, but I enjoyed it quite a bit. The thing that impresses me the most is the author's ability to convey how her narrator/heroine is feeling without being too explicit. She focuses on the sensations and doesn't try to rationalize or explain them.

There are other things that I like about this story, for instance, during the course of the story Ronni lets herself be used, both by her friend Tammy and by Scott. What I like about these scenes is that while she is giving into the whims of others she still comes across as an individual who is both thrilled and scandalized by what she is putting up with. This makes her more realistic, in my opinion; probably because she is experiencing conflicting emotions.

On the whole I like this story, but the ending leaves a little something to be desired. It isn't the content that I have a problem with, but rather the execution. It does not flow quite as smoothly as the first two-thirds of the story do; it seems a bit forced. Still, it was not enough to diminish my enjoyment by any appreciable measure.

SUBJECTIVE ANALYSIS: Excellent
