I Wonder - My Commentary

Obviously, this isn't much of a story. No plot, no characters, no setting. But the feelings behind it are very real. Have you ever been at a point in a relationship when it feels like it's just about to rise up to a higher level? And have you ever wondered what that rise would be like? Isn't that an exciting place to be in life?

I must confess that I started out at the very beginning to write this to arouse somebody specifically, although I actually got wrapped up in the writing at one point, and it sort of lost the purely personal meanings.

I fiddled with it quite a bit before it reached the final form, breaking up the paragraphs, reforming them, adding a section here, removing a section there. I thought the repeated "I wonder" refrain would grow old if the story got very long, so I purposely tried to rein in the length.

It's probably not the kind of story everyone will love, but I hope it appeals to some.
