Casey at the Bat - My Commentary

What can I say? I like baseball. And spring training has just begun, and baseball fever is starting anew. My team is tied for first place, and I'm sure they'll make a run for the pennant this year, just like I was sure would happen last year, and the year before that.

In any case, here's a story paying homage to America's Pasttime. I thought about writing this story last year, but by the time I got around to it, the season was already half over, and it just didn't seem right. And then this year, I read another story that started out with a similar tease, which inspired me to take up the idea again.

I only spent a day on it, so it's not all that serious. I liked writing all the baseball similes, though.
