Under the greenwood tree.

Acrostic - Madrigal

Come love and dwell with me
Under the greenwood tree,
No one can happy be,
Than I shall be if bless'd with thee!

Placed near your mossy grot,
Rises a rustic cot.
I would bear thee to that spot,
Cool when the sun is hot;
Kind fair one, linger not!

Flowers bloom their brightest there!
Unknown fragrance fills the air!
Come, sweet Chloe, grant the prayer,
Kneeling I make to thee!
