SUMMARY: A woman reflects on her first love, a man she has not seen in years and the father of her first child. COMMENTARY: I found this story to be both touching and arousing. The ending is neither happy nor tragic. On the one hand, the main character looks back with longing and wishes things could have turned out differently. On the other hand, she has not allowed her longing for her first love to paralyze her. It is worth noting that the main character is rather young at the time that most of the events take place. She falls for him before she reaches her teens. She loses her virginity while she is still in her early teens and becomes pregnant soon thereafter. It is also worth noting that there are a number of run on sentences. Sometimes this makes it a bit hard to determine what the subject and object are. OBJECTIVE ANALYSIS: 8.5 (out of 10)
SUBJECTIVE ANALYSIS: Excellent LINK(S):
