Encore! by Sundance (MF rom) 


I've always liked the song "Auld Ang Sine" by the Dan Folgeberg, and
depending on my mood, it can even make me cry. Sundance does an
excellent job of bringing that song to life in this story. I thought
just about everything was perfect. Sundance has a good story-telling
style, very descriptive, and his characters are believable people with
believable actions.   

If you don't know the song, it's about a singer that meets an old lover
in a grocery story after years of being apart, he having left the town
they grew up in to become famous. They have a few beers in their car,
this being Christmas Eve, and they sadly part. Sundance gives us the
character's backgrounds and the rest of the story. I was just going to
start reading the story, but I couldn't wait to finish it and stayed up
way past my bedtime. I recommend this one even though it's no longer
Christmas.
