SUMMARY: The nameless male narrator of this story wants to sleep with Liz when he first meets her. After he hears her story, he just wants to comfort her.

COMMENTARY: This isn't a very upbeat story, but it is a very well written one. I only found it to be somewhat arousing. It is told in a very soft manner, and yet there is quite a bit behind the words that are used.

If I wanted to be picky then I would point out that when Liz refers to her brother as a loaner, she probably meant to say that he was a loner. I didn't notice this error until I was reading the story for the second time, but -- what's that?

No, I'm not sure what you are referring to. What did I just –- oh, I see. In other words, the verdict is in and based upon my own criteria, I am picky after all.

In summation, despite the fact that I was not aroused to a significant degree by this story, I was touched by it. That by itself, is enough to make it worth reading in my opinion.

OBJECTIVE ANALYSIS: 8.0 (out of 10)

  • Arousal: 3/5
  • Editing: 5/5
  • Plot and Characters: 5/5
