Commentary

This is an intelligently written story. It is about the past as much as it is about the present. I think the author shifts back and forth between the two, past and present, quite effectively.

Another technique that Mr. Pendragon employs is shifting the point of view between Dan and Lori. Most of the story consists of flashbacks, so by alternating the point of view between husband and wife, we get to see not only how Dan remembers things, but also how Lori does.

If you are looking for stroke material then this might not be the best choice. If you are looking for something more romantic then I think you should enjoy this.
