COMMENTARY:
This is one hot story. The author does a very nice job
setting the scene, before anything resembling sex begins. Once the
fun begins, and by fun I really mean foreplay, the genius of the
author becomes apparent. The rest of the story is a roller-coaster
ride: it goes from teasing and foreplay to penetrative sex to
meaningful words exchanged in the afterglow of what has
transpired. This cycle is repeated at least three times by my
count. Variations of the pattern just described keep the story
fresh. Some words are also devoted to showing how Ellen and David
develop as individuals and as a couple.
I read this story twice and was just as impressed the second time
around as I was the first. I was initially attracted to it because
it involves an older woman and a younger man, but that fact really
isn't emphasized too heavily. Ellen is getting over her divorce.
David is enjoying sex for the first time, ever. Those two themes
receive considerably more attention from the author than their age
difference does.
The archive where I found this story characterizes it as
"romantic". I think this is a fair classification. Usually, I shy
away from classifying stories in such a fashion. In this case I am
willing to make an exception because I want those of you reading
this spotlight to understand that something does develop between
Ellen and David. The story isn't just about sex. |
