COMMENTARY:
I have mixed feelings about this story. On the one hand I feel that it moves too quickly. There is no real explanation given as to why Katy is interested in her neighbor. On the other hand, I love the manner in which the author moves the story along, through conversations. Even though the characters seem to have little more than sex-on-the-brain, for most of the story, they also seem human.
One more thing that I should mention, the author never clarifies exactly how old Katy is. He drops hints, but they only suggest a range and do not pinpoint a particular age.
If you can get over the adult male-teenage female thing then I strongly recommend this story. |
