COMMENTARY:
I did not expect that I would enjoy this story as much
as I did. I figured that there would be parts that I would like,
but I did not foresee writing a spotlight when I printed this one
out.
What I like really about this story is the fact the author does an
excellent job pacing it. The climax doesn't arrive too quickly or
too easily. Kate's attitude toward her affair also made this story
more enjoyable for me. She has her doubts, she isn't committed to
the affair when the story opens, nor is she so overwhelmed with
lust that she forgets she is married or that she loves her
husband.
This story is not without flaws. There are a few inconsistencies.
For instance, at the very beginning of the story the main
character says it is Monday and then two paragraphs later says
that it is Wednesday. In another case, Kate and Justin are
described as being in the bedroom in one paragraph, followed by a
reference to them being in the kitchen in the next paragraph, and
then they are back in the bedroom in the paragraph after that.
This is a long story, but I think that it is worth your time. At
the very least give it a try. Who knows? You may just enjoy it. |
