Good Intentions
"Aargh" comes the high pitched cry as the nine-thronged lash lands again on the upturned buttocks.
A three second wait, whip hand poised to strike again, then again the slender target.
Already the child's thighs and posterior are marked back and forth with a myriad of angry red weals.
The child screams in protest, but the punishment must continue. The hunger must be satisfied, both mine and society's. Justice must be dealt with a heavy and impassionate hand.
A red line appears on her right hip – broken skin. She is beyond notice, and continues to scream and vainly fight her restraints.
Eventually it ends. The girl is to weak from struggle to respond.
I release her hands and legs, and cradle her head against my shoulder. "Don't worry about a thing, it's all over! I only did that because I love you, and naughty little Penititas who rape Kindern need to be taught proper behavior so they can be re-integrated into society. Now come, let me rub some nano-lotion onto that for you."

I once thought that Lurking Dragon created the Rejuve universe as a place where everything can be right, and all your wildest dreams can be true. The more I read, the more I realized that the apparent utopia was only a surface. Even the 28th century still must deal with abuse, greed, and lust – they've only been buried deeper. Anyway, let me know what you think of this little thought experiment.
