Hence, they are naturally stronger than us fair-skinned Sahibs, and they started to muscle us out of various spheres of life. Firsrt, the Shudras muscled us out of the wrestling grounds. The first group of imported Malabari Shudra fighters started the trend. Their naturally better-developed Shudra musculature, along with their inherent expertise in the Dravidian martial arts of Kalari-payattu and Mal-Yuddham. meant that they easily defeated our local fair Aryan mohalla wrestlers. Soon, the imported Dravidian fighters had monopolized our wrestling grounds. It became embarassing to visit a wrestling ground, and no honest Sahib would take the females of his household to the wrestling ground, for fear that his womenfolk would learn the humiliating facts of Shudra physical superiority. Due to the absence of a caste system in our Islamicate mohallas (Islamicized neighbourhoods), no objection could be raised to their free entry to our quarters.
