LANGUAGE INFORMATION
- History: Language of the ancient Kingdom of Magadha under King 
  Asoka, it became the official language of Buddhism. The official 
  theological dialect of Magadhi used for Buddhism is known as Pali. 
- Dialects: Magahi (Patna region), Bhojpuri, Angika, Vajjika, Pali
- Script: Magadhi, also known as Pali script
