I was given a black stretch turtleneck and a tight pair of designer jeans. I sat in Amanda's kitchen, reading a magazine, waiting for them to get dressed. After a while, I heard whispering coming from the living room, so I walked in.
I was astonished. Samantha was wearing a short red dress with strappy sleeves and black platform heels. Her stocking tops were showing and her hair was styled like a 70's model. Amanda was talking to her, whispering and stroking her leg. I stood in the doorway and watched. It seemed that Amanda was whispering questions and Samantha would give the slightest nod or shake of the head.
Amanda was wearing a white sleeveless dress with two-strap sandals on her bare feet. Her outfit was almost classy, in a Hamptons-in-the-summer sort of way. She noticed that I came in, and she said in a gentle voice, "You're sexy enough to have a date, aren't you?"
Samantha stood up and I realized that I had seen that dress before, but without the (apparently detachable) straps. My wife looked at me and avoided my eye contact, as if she were playing shy. She mumbled "Hi, I'm Sam." Samantha wouldn't allow anyone to call her that name, much less use it herself.
Amanda told me to compliment her outfit and I did. "Sam" giggled like a teenage girl. I watched as Amanda brought three more glasses of champagne over, giving my wife the one that had a mark matching her fire-engine-red lipstick. She sat down on the couch and closed her eyes.
"She's really disassociated with her personality right now," Amanda whispered in my ear. "When she opens her eyes she will be very suggestible. By the way, she's a strong woman. This is her third dose."
Amanda sat down and began to whisper again. After a minute or two, Samantha opened her eyes and gave a sultry smile. Amanda walked her into the bedroom. Through the open door, I saw Amanda lording over Samantha, commanding something into her personality.
Amanda finished her instructions and ordered Samantha up. She stood up, and walked towards the bathroom.
"I think she's ready. Would you like to test her?"
