Announcing "Lost Boy's Third Other-Worldly Story Competition"


Hello!

Things have been a bit quiet on the site in the last few
weeks; my apologies, but my real life has become quite
busy. Perhaps a story competition might enliven our
virtual selves ;-) ?

This competition is wide open: I'd just like it to include
"Scented Blossoms" in the story.

The genres that I like, of course, are Tentacles, Vampires, Robots,
Succubi, Faeries, Were-people of various sorts, Carnivorous goo,
Mannequinization, Medusae, Mind Control, Euphoric plants, and so on
and so on...

A plant story would, of course, be especially appropriate
for this competition.

Now, the rules:

- The story will be a new "other-worldly" story

- The story will include "Scented Blossoms" in one form or another.
They don't need to be a central plot element, but the certainly
can be!

- Submissions are to be posted to Lostboy,
wendy@lbworlds.net

- Stories can will be accepted until 1 August 2004,
and will be immediately posted in Lost Boy's
collection.

- Copyright will be retained by the author, so
it's fine to post the story elsewhere if you wish
to do so

- After the competition closes, each author will
vote for one story not their own. The story with
the most votes will be the winner.

- If there are two or fewer submissions, then
everyone is a winner! (or, perhaps, no one...)

- In the case of a tie, Lost Boy will have the casting vote.

- Winners will be announced on or before 14 August, 2004.

- The competition is now open!

I'm looking forward to your submissions.
