Chapter 12
Stephanie unlocked the door to her dorm room and threw her bags on the floor under the phone. She almost tripped on her boyfriend and a naked woman laying on the floor. Actually her boyfriend was laying on the floor. The naked woman was bouncing up and down on top of him.
"Hey, Jesse," Stephanie said cheerfully as she flipped on the light.
"Oh fuck!" he shouted and knocked Janie on her ass as he grabbed for his pants. Janie sat with her legs flexed and spread wide staring up at the tall brunette.
"Aren't you going to introduce me to your friend," Stephanie asked with a shaky voice, tears just starting to form.
"I am so sorry, Steph," Jesse said, pulling on his boots. "Just get out, Jesse," Stephanie sniffed and wiped her hand across her eyes.
Stephanie sat down heavily on her bed and rested her head in her hands. Janie felt sorry for the girl because she was crying but she couldn't figure out what was wrong. She couldn't leave because Kallie and Leah wouldn't be back until the little hand was on the nine so she just sat there quietly. Finally Stephanie stood and blew her nose. "I want you out of here when I get back, Janie. How could you do this to me? I thought you were my friend."
Janie waved to the strange lady as she left.
"Hey, Stephanie, how's it going?" Leah asked brightly as she and Kallie passed her in the hall.
"Fuckin' men!" she spat and hit the down button on the elevator. They waited until the elevator doors closed and then high-fived each other. "What a rag. Let's raid her room," Leah suggested. "She's got some killer jewelry."
