In 2085, the new nano-tech control collars got the ability to create their own nano-tech network throughout the body. Following on, most of the implantable devices were gradually replaced by nano-tech version that were constructed in place. At the same time, it becamke possible to upgrade the older models in place, eliminating a major problem.
In 2090, a nano-tech version of the wrist controllers was introduced. This had the same capabilities to grow nano-tech networks as the control collar; the two devices were now on an equal footing.
Also in 2090, the Model D display collar was introduced to go with the nano-tech wrist controllers. This didn't have the control computer, but it did have a cameoflage capability that let it match the underlying skin tone so that it couldn't be detected by normal eyesight. The capability wasn't allowed in the NAA except for special circumstances.A number of things happened in 2093 in preparation for the upcoming political transfer of India to the NAA.
In 2093, everyone was required to have a control computer installed at age 10. Females (including true hermaphrodites, she-males and female neuters) had to have a control collar, males were allowed to have either. There was a lot of grumbling, but overall the transition went smoothly.
New installations of the Slave Devotion were eliminated.
The Chastity Shield attachment was moved to the Control Computer platform and made mandatory for all females (true females, true hermaphrodites, false hermaphrodites and he-girls) as well as she-males. Hermaphrodites and she-males were required to have their male sexual equipment internal except when in use.
The India Amalgamation went through. India was formally called Zone 2, with most of the rest of the NAA being Zone 1 and the various areas reserved for primative hunter-gatherers and nomads being named Zone 0. There was a 20 year plan for integration of India into the rest of the NAA.
In 2100 the Inside the Skull control computer was authorized for installation in the NAA, thus joining the control collar and wrist controllers. The new control computer had an enormous number of advantages, not least of which was direct connections to important brain areas. These eliminated the older conditioned response training and all of the Robots.
In 2005, the Gorean Association's Core Training was added to Extraordinary Rights. The legal committees hesitated to add it to other contracts for a number of years, until they were sure that The Slave Warehouse had the process worked out properly.
In 2015, the NAA required fetal implantation of the in-skull control computer (cloned from the mother's in-skull control computer). The installation included both the Personal Virtual Reality and Core Training linkages. This solved a large number of problems.
Also in 2115, false hermaphrodites, he-girls and male neuters were required to wear display collars. This was greated with a yawn: over 90% of the very small affected population already did this.
Probably the most contentious change was to require that anyone with reduced responsibility (slaves, minors, etc.) had to have the kef visible in one of the three standard locations. The legal committees managed to convince the teens that having to display the mark was a sign of growing up: people couldn't tell the difference between a late teen and an adult otherwise. In the event, most of the girls preferred strapless tops when they weren't wearing the shirt and shorts outfit, and the boys decided that shorts were acceptable. Male slaves grumbled a bit, but that was mostly for form: the single strap slave tunic had been normal male slave wear for a long time, and the ones with good physiques preferred it: the skin tight style let them show off a well sculptured body.
Beginning with the India Amalgamation, the NAA started absorbing other countries. Quebec joined in 2099, the Central American Association joined in 2116 and the South American Association joined in 2123. The Pan Slavic Association joined in 2030. The result was called the American, Asian, Australian and Indian Association, or the Scream.
