Story Description: This story is a modern retelling of Beauty and the Beast.  A young Texas cowboy, Billy Gunn, and his Uncle Bud tour the rodeo circuit for a year and win the National Finals in team roping. Along the way he falls in love with an big, ugly, bald, tattooed, muscled, outlaw biker master with a flaming red beard and 'stach, Booger Red, over twenty years his senior. Cowboy is drafted into the Army but promises to return to Red and become his slave after his tour of duty.  He's sent to Vietnam with, Buck Yates, the son of the rival roping team. They fall in love and swear eternal love for each other.  It is a story of great loves, passion, loss, betrayal, forgiveness, compassion, and hope.
