Just hang around until I get back.” Tanith said
with a sinister smirk as she left the apartment.

she saw from the passenger seat of Tanith’s car. “How the hell did they even
come up with that idea?”

Tanith turned her head and raised a brow at Vesna. “What the fuck are you
talking about?” Tanith said as she returned her attention to the road.

“The signs back there said ‘God Hates Homosexuals’ and ‘Homosexuality is a
sin’. How did they even get that idea?” Vesna turned away from the window to
look at her owner.

“I don’t know. It might have something to do with almost all the muses being
banished to hell.” Tanith responded with a smug smirk. “Humans have no idea
what Dad actually wanted because we weren’t there to tell them.” She returned
her attention to driving in time to avoid hitting someone in a crosswalk.

Note

This is probably the darkest thing I have ever written. Reader discretion
advised.

Tanith held the pitch-black paper card against the steering wheel. The glossy
business card showed no indication that it contained any information, but
Tanith could see the inscription as though it was glowing. The writing, which
appeared as a gold glow to the woman, was phonetically English but written in
Phoenician script. The message was simple — “Other Tastes, 3035 Industry Way,
Suite 7.”

Tanith looked up from the card at the decrepit building. “The power to sunder
the gates of hell, and they pick this shit-hole.” She muttered to herself.
The building was a large warehouse divided into various unoccupied industrial
workshops. Tanith got out of her car to look for the door to suite seven. She
occasionally checked the business card as though she was expecting a map or
some other instructions. She knew better than to think the card would change,
but she checked anyways.
