Story Hosts

alt.sex.stories.moderated. A Usenet newsgroup where thousands of erotic stories get posted every year. These reviews are of stories found in ASSM.
The Alt Sex Stories Text Repository. ASSTR hosts the erotic stories for hundreds of authors. In addition, ASSTR is responsible for the moderation for alt.sex.stories.moderated. Funded entirely by donations from readers, ASSTR is the probably the most constructive force for erotic writing on the Internet.
Stories Online. Stories Online is a large depository of erotic fiction made available for free. The site keeps statistics on downloads and allows readers to rate stories on a scale of 1 to 10.
Literotica. This site hosts thousands of stories and receives about 50 new stories a day. It uses banner ads and has a little bit of a personal ad singles feel to it, but it's easy to opt out of the pick-up scene. Like Stories Online, there is a system for readers to rate the stories.
alt.sex.stories. An unmoderated Usenet newsgroup that contains a lot of erotic stories, but because it has no moderator, it contains far more spam than anything else. Not recommeded for anyone who is not an expert at filtering spam out of newsfeeds.

Reviews and Awards

Golden Clitorides Awards and Silver Clitorides Awards. The Clitoride Awards are a sort of "People's Choice" award for erotic stories. The Silvers are a monthly award, and the Goldens are for best stories of the year. The six stories with the most nominations make it to the final round of voting, so be sure to nominate your favorite stories even if they are already on the list.
Celestial Reviews. Celeste reviewed stories in alt.sex.stories for years before Tainted Lime ever knew Usenet existed. Old Celestial Reviews are available for ftp download here. This is a great history of five years of Internet sex stories.
Lady Cyrrh. Another long-time reviewer, Lady Cyrrh released reviews less frequently than Celeste, but she enjoyed a wider range of subjects.
Rogue Reviews. Lee Vine, another retired story reviewer, keeps a website of old reviews.

Help for Authors

alt.sex.stories.d. A Usenet newsgroup where discussion of erotic stories is supposed to take place. There is a lot of off-topic conversation and a little bit of flaming, but it's better than most newsgroups. If you're looking for writing help, it's a good place to start.
The Fish Tank. The Fish Tank is a group of authors on alt.sex.stories.d who post and critique erotic stories. Authors who want to polish their prose before releasing their stories to the public would do well to give The Fish Tank a try. The website itself is just a static archive of discussions that occur in ASSD.
Proofreaders. A list of people who volunteer their time to proofread erotic stories.
Erotica Reader's Association. I haven't checked out this site yet.
