Here is my Flash entry for the 2002 Rom Fest, a romantic story in two characters, in under 90 words.
SHE SMILED
We were lying naked together, our perspiration drying, our heart rates slowing. She was nestled up to me, her head on my chest.
I could feel the vibration of her voice running through me as she said, "How was it this time?"
"The best," I replied.
"Not fair," she complained. "You always say that."
"Sweetheart," I said softly, "it's not the 'how' that makes it the best. It's the 'who'."
I could feel her reaction against my skin, down to my core.
She smiled.
