Amaya May I? - Part1
By Uncle Micky
===== Introduction =====
I met Ed York a few years back while volunteering at one of those Build-Habitat events. I had gotten involved in these service opportunities because of Paul Ridley, who wasn't at this particular event. Ed and I were paired and tasked with painting a porch and the trim on a newly-built bungalow. We got along quite well and became pretty good friends. Ed is ten years older than I and, quite frankly, he outworked me that day!
We had more than a few common interests and ended up spending a fair amount of time together. Often we would meet just south of town at a nice bookstore-café and enjoy some of the best coffee in the tri-state area. I realized that while I hadn't met him at the time, I had seen him there before; once with a beautiful little girl, the next, a delicious blonde woman.
Ed, a single fellow, had made a pretty damn good life for himself as a local entrepreneur-businessman. Many years back he opened a small convenience store and today eight of his stores, aptly named "York's Markets," are spread across a three-county area. He has had many buyout offers over the years and says he'll sell when he's ready to retire.
Ed's a good-enough-looking fellow, he reminds me of the actor who plays Dr. Watson on the BBC's Sherlock series. Light, sandy-brown hair, not too tall, in pretty good shape, and I guess you would say … spry. That day painting, at lunchtime, we drove over to a local supermarket to get something to eat. Ed said their sandwiches were the best anywhere. He was right.
Regardless, as we were walking in the store a good-looking mom and her even better-looking tweener of a daughter were walking out. She caught my eye, that's for sure. Cute as all get out, brunette hair up in a high ponytail, tight green t-shirt, white short shorts, and tanned legs all the way up to her ass! The mom was a looker as well. I glanced at Ed and his eyes were glued on the daughter. I knew that look!
As we walked inside, I commented, "Oh to be young again."
Ed's reply was simple, "I hear ya man."
The topic never came up again; until one spring afternoon when we drove into the city to catch a doubleheader. The forecast called for a nice day; and, of course, it ended up being a rainout. Not wanting to waste a perfectly good day off, I invited him as my guest to a local lodge for a couple of drinks. What follows is the story Ed told me.
===== Meeting Amaya =====
Ed York's brother, Robbie, taught science at a nearby high school, Claremont County High. During the winter sports seasons, Robbie worked the door at home games collecting money and distributing tickets. Ed and his brother were pretty close and it wasn't uncommon for him to hang with Robbie at the door.
It was at a Friday night wrestling match that Ed joined his brother and sat at the table by the door with him. That night, Claremont had a match with Moundstown High School, located two counties over.
The match was about to start and Ed was getting ready to take a seat down at the edge of the bleachers when an obviously Hispanic mother and daughter came through the door. The mother was short, overweight, and rather frumpy-looking. Her black hair was tied back in a bun and her brown coat qualified as tattered. Regardless, she wore a big smile and her eyes sparkled with happiness as she glanced around the gym, not quite noticing the ticket table. There were more than a few rough miles on her. It was possible that at one time she may have been considered pretty.
A clue to her lost looks was the remarkably pretty young girl who accompanied her. Ed could only estimate that she had to be around ten-years-old. Her skin was light brown and flawless; she still had the look of a little girl but was starting to lose some of her facial baby fat.
Her hair was jet black and pulled back in a ponytail. Her deep brown eyes were wide and almond-shaped. Her jeans formed to her legs and ass like a second skin showing off a delightful, trim lower body. She wore a light down-filled jacket with the zipper half-way down. This angelic vision walked directly to the table, set her hands palms down, and smiled at the two men looking directly at her.
She looked at Robbie, then at Ed and, without looking away, called to her mother in the most beautiful Spanish, ¡Mamá! Ven aca. Tenemos que comprar entradas." (Momma! Come here. We have to get tickets.)
The mother turned with a quizzical look and saw the "$5 Admission" hand-drawn sign hanging on the wall behind the two men at the table. She looked in her purse, then at Ed, and said in halting English, "My son … he wrestles Moundstown."
Robbie replied, "Five dollars admission, no charge for the little one."
The mother looked in her purse again, looked to her daughter, and said, "Come Amaya, money in car."
Amaya looked at the two men at the table, smiled and turned away, and walked out with her mother.
Neither Ed nor Robbie spoke. After a minute, Robbie commented, "No freebies, everyone has to pay."
Ed, whose mind was centered totally on the young girl who just walked out of his life said, "Yeah, sure … yeah, no freebies."
A few more people came through the doors before the mother and daughter came back in. The beautiful girl (Ed had decided she was indeed, beautiful) once again stood at the table and proudly watched as her mother counted out five dollars in two singles, quarters, and dimes.
Ed could only think that they had gathered all their loose change from the car. Robbie tore a ticket off and gave it to the mother with a proper. "Thank you, enjoy the match."
The mother smiled at Robbie, nodded to Ed, and with a hand on her daughter's shoulder, headed into the gym.
Ed stood and watched where they went. They sat on the visitor side's bleachers two rows up near the end. Ed repeated to himself, 'Amaya, Amaya …'
Amaya looked at him across the gym and smiled as she removed her jacket.
Ed turned to Robbie and said, "Hey man, I'll be right back."
Robbie nodded to him as he was making change for a gaggle of teens.
Ed pulled a five from his wallet, pocketed it, and walked across the end of the gym over to the visitors' bleachers. Amaya watched him as he walked toward them; her mother was busy trying to get a glimpse of her son, Roberto, amongst the wrestling team. Ed smiled at Amaya and placed his hand on her shoulder as he knelt a knee on the seat in front of her mother.
"Ma'am … Senora …"
"She looked at him with a smile and said, "Rodriguez, Adeline Rodriguez."
"Senora Rodriguez, I'm Ed York" He reached his hand and they politely shook hands.
He glanced at Amaya who was watching with great interest, and continued, "My brother made a mistake; we don't charge the parents when their child is a wrestler."
Ed handed the five-dollar bill to Sra Rodriguez, who hesitated and glanced at Amaya.
Amaya quickly translated what Ed had said; Sra Rodriguez beamed at him and accepted the money.
Ed looked at Amaya and asked, "Amaya, may I treat you and your mother to anything at the concession stand?"
Amaya relayed the request to her mother who answered that she would like a cold drink. Amaya looked at Ed and happily nodded her head in the affirmative. "My mother would like a coke, and so would I. Could I have some chips as well?"
"Most certainly you may, would you care to help me?"
This time, Amaya more told her mother what was going on rather than ask. Sra Rodriguez glanced at Ed and then at her daughter and nodded her head.
Ed back-stepped off the bleachers and held out his hand to assist Amaya down to the floor. She readily took it and, once on the floor next to the nice man, she didn't let it go. Together they walked to the concession stand hand-in-hand. Her hand was soft, the softest and most delightful hand he ever remembered holding. She squeezed his hand as they walked. He felt his loins begin to stir. To anyone who cared to observe, they looked like any father and daughter heading to the concession stand.
To Ed, it was something totally out of any experience he ever felt. Her hand was warm and soft in his. She held on as if she never wanted to let go. His dick was starting to get hard! His breathing got a bit short.
Thankfully he was able to regain his composure as they got to the stand and he had to place the order. But he couldn't remember the order! The young girl at the counter asked him twice what he wanted and without replying, he turned and looked to Amaya to save him.
She understood and said, "Two cokes and a bag of those chips."
She pointed at the cheese-flavored chips and Ed said, "Yes, the cheese chips."
Ed carried the two drinks and, Amaya the chips. He was disappointed that he couldn't hold her hand some more but, he knew it was for the best. Once Amaya and the refreshments were safely delivered, he bade farewell.
Before turning away, he glanced at Amaya one last time, and she said, "Thank you very much for the snacks Mr. Ed York, and the refund!"
"You are more than welcome Amaya!" With that, he returned to his brother.
Upon his return, Robbie looked at him and commented, "You are such a bleeding heart! Either that or you got something for the little one … then … hell you'll go to jail forever and in no time burn in hell forever!"
Quietly, Ed replied, "Fuck you, you jackass. Those were their last coins. I wasn't going to play a part in you ripping off of the poor."
The brothers laughed, and as he sat, Ed said, "You got to come up with a way to help people who can't afford the admission."
Robbie replied, "I'll talk to the AD."
Ed tried to keep an eye out for Amaya after the match but somehow, he never saw her and her mother leave.
===== Two Years Later =====
Things had gone well for Ed. In the previous two years his one store became two stores, and then four stores. He bought the small house behind his first store and made that his office. It was a nice two-bedroom, two-bath rambler. He kept the master bedroom as a bedroom where he kept extra clothes and a bed for when he needed it. The second bedroom became a records storage room. He converted the dining room into his office, the living room into the entry where his part-time assistant worked at her desk. The kitchen remained as is and served its original purpose. The one-car garage was used for storage. The house had a small backyard and a nice patio where he often had his lunch or a morning cup of coffee. The yard had a wooden six-foot privacy fence.
As mentioned, he hired a part-time assistant, Trudy Johnson; an older, very competent, retired business secretary. He outsourced most of his accounting needs. He still managed inventory, personnel, and the four store managers. He was a good boss; he worked partial shifts at the stores and treated his employees fairly. Ed was looking to expand his business in the near future.
Over those two years, he often thought about Amaya. He could still picture her in his mind's eye as clearly as if he had just seen her. Mostly, she came to mind when he first woke in the morning. His morning wood was often accompanied by thoughts of a girl, a girl who was much too young. He started to notice other young girls but none held a candle to his heart's desire.
He thought about attending some Moundsville High wrestling matches but figured that would be just a bit too creepy. He drove to Moundsville one day, making the excuse to himself that he was looking for a possible store site, but shortly after arriving, he turned back home ashamed of himself.
===== Fate? =====
There came a Saturday when he filled in for a sick employee at his newest store (the store manager had a wedding to attend.) The next shift worker came in early and Ed was able to leave at one in the afternoon. On his way home, he stopped at a grocery store he never shopped at, to pick up a few items. On his way in, he was accosted by a wonderful collection of youth football cheerleaders collecting money for uniforms or something. He made a nice donation and received a couple of hugs in return for his generosity.
He made his way through the store and ended up almost filling his cart with needed sundries. He got to the checkout lines and naturally chose the one moving the quickest. He wasn't paying attention to much of anything when his turn came to move his items to the checkout conveyor belt.
He was halfway through this task when he glanced down to the far end of the counter. There were two youth cheerleaders packing his groceries into bags; and, one of them was Amaya! Ed stood and froze. He watched his secret girl as she deftly filled a plastic bag. She was no longer a little girl. Amaya was in full-tween-blossom-hood! Her face, while still soft, had lost the little girl shape and had become that of a beautiful young woman. Her eyes were still deep dark pools of mystery and excitement. Judging by the fit of her top, she was starting to develop in the chest department as well.
Just as he was checking out her chest, she looked him in the face. He jerked back to consciousness in time to see her smile that enchanting smile at him. She recognized him! He smiled back and mouthed a "hi" at her. She responded in kind and the two of them kept their attention on each other as they finished their required tasks. Once he paid and his cart was filled, Amaya gently pushed the other girl out of the way as she took his cart to help him with his groceries.
He nodded in the direction of the doors to the right and Amaya headed that way with Ed in tow. He marveled at how her little, pleated cheer skirt flared out behind her, describing a perfect ass underneath. Her legs were tan, fit, and thin. In a few years, she would have a perfect set of legs.
Once out the door, he was again thanked by the girls who remembered his earlier donation. He was beside himself as he walked with Amaya out to his car. He felt like a kid, he didn't know what to say! He wanted to say everything but could think of nothing. They neared his car, a sporty-looking, black Dodge Charger.
Amaya broke the ice, "Oh my! Is this one yours? I love it, it's so cool!" She ran around to the front of the cart to keep it from getting too close to the car. Ed took the cart by the handle and steadied it. The two of them stood still, time froze, and they gazed at each other.
"Miss Amaya Rodriguez, it is so very nice to see you again!"
Amaya nearly died! He remembered her! He remembered her name! She couldn't help but smile.
"And you too, Mr. Ed York!"
Ed leaned on the cart and said, "I was hoping we would run into each other sometime. I thought maybe you and your mom would come to another wrestling match."
Amaya looked down, "Roberto no longer wrestles, he left to live with my dad, and now he works. No more school."
"That's a shame, he was very good. Where is your father?"
"He lives in Ill … Ill-in-noise."
"Illinois?"
"Yes! That's where … my papa, he left us a long time ago, I was very little. Sometimes he sends money."
"He should, anyway, how are you? Your mom, where is she today?"
"I am doing well. We moved over here because momma says the school is better. (proudly) I am in the seventh grade at Claremont Middle School!"
"Good for you!"
"The thing is, momma moved here to get a better job but it didn't work out. The hours were all at night and she couldn't do that. Right now, she is cleaning houses and offices."
"Amaya, may I speak to your cheerleading sponsor?"
"Yes, Miss Judy … she is, (looking around) she is over by the other door … the pretty blonde-haired lady."
"Amaya, would you go get her and ask her to come over here?"
"Yes!" In a flash, Amaya was off to fetch the pretty Miss Judy. Ed loaded the groceries into his trunk and finished just as Amaya arrived with Miss Judy.
After Ed and Miss Judy exchanged introductions she asked, "How may I help you, Mr. York?"
Ed thought to himself, 'In an untold number of ways!' She was indeed very pretty! Ed cleared his throat and asked, "This fundraiser today? What is your goal?"
"We were hoping for five hundred dollars; that would get us halfway to new uniforms."
Ed went to his car, pulled his checkbook from the glove box, and wrote a check for one thousand dollars.
"Here, you have your uniforms. Do you have other needs for the money you make today?"
Miss Judy stared at the check; she didn't know what to say. She looked at Ed, "M … Mr. York … this is much too generous, we can't …"
"Yes, you can Miss Judy, tell you what, I'll sponsor your cheer team and the football team you guys cheer for, how does that sound?"
Miss Judy readily accepted and, by the end of the week, York's stores were the official sponsors of a little league football and cheer team. Back in the parking lot, Miss Judy looked at Amaya and said, "Don't tell any of the other girls. I want to make it a surprise for when we're done today." She turned to Ed and gave him a hug for the ages before heading back to the rest of the girls.
Amaya was beaming, she didn't quite understand what she was feeling for Ed, but it sure felt awfully good.
"Mr. York! You are so kind and generous! I … I …" Amaya threw herself into Ed, giving him the best hug, she could manage.
Ed was in heaven. He had half hugged Miss Judy, but he fully returned Amaya's hug, and it felt great!
He loosened his hold on the girl and with his hands on her shoulders said, "Amaya, I want you to tell your mother to come to see me Monday morning. Here's my card with my office address. You do that, OK?"
Amaya looked at the card and stood at attention. Ed looked at the girl and didn't quite understand what he was feeling for Amaya, but it was strong! Amaya asked, "Are you going to give momma a job?"
"May I? If you approve, I have something for her if she wants it. Would that …"
He never finished what he was going to say because Amaya had once again thrown herself into him, giving him another hug for the ages!
Amaya released him and Ed bent down, placed a hand on the back of her head, and planted a soft kiss on her forehead. Amaya thought she was going to die!
"Don't forget to tell your mother. I'll see you soon!" Ed got in his car and drove home.
===== Monday Morning =====
Ed was in the office bright and early. His part-time assistant wouldn't be in that morning so he set about making some coffee and sorting through reports that were dropped off the previous day.
Precisely at eight o'clock, there was a knocking on the door. He rose and answered. There stood Sra Rodriguez. She held her hand out and said, "You wished to see me, Senor York?"
"Yes Mrs. Rodriguez, please come in. Good morning, would you care for some coffee?"
Sra Rodriguez looked around as she entered and replied, "No thank you, I have had my coffee for the day."
Ed stopped and she looked at him. "Mrs. Rodriguez, your English is much improved!"
"Yes, I have been taking classes at night since we moved here. Thank you very much."
Once seated in the office, Ed behind his desk and Sra Rodriguez facing him from across the desk, Ed decided to get right down to business.
Ed proceeded to explain to her that he had four stores and this office, all that required a full-time cleaner. He expected her to work Monday through Friday, spending one day in each establishment. He offered to put her on salary with full benefits after a month's trial period. He expected her to keep the businesses clean and inform him of any potential or existing problems she might see.
Ed paused and asked if she had any questions. She had one immediate question, "How much salary?"
Ed replied, "Eight hundred a week, all federal holidays, two weeks paid vacation."
Sra Rodriguez held in her excitement. The job offer was far better than she would have ever expected! Without realizing it, she frowned.
Ed saw the frown; he couldn't let her turn him down. "Of course, there will be raises based on your evaluations as well as cost-of-living adjustments."
===== El Patron =====
Sra Rodriguez glanced at the man and smiled. She understood exactly what was going on. She of all things was a mother first and knew all too well the choices her mother had made for her future back in their village in the Northwest Mexican Sonoran region.
Don Genaro had made a similar offer to her mother many years previously when she was still a pretty little girl. He became their "Patron" (pronounced Pah-trone.) He protected them; he provided for them, she was his "companion" and consort. He taught her the ways of men and life. She loved him and freely did as he requested. It was to her Patron that she freely gifted her virginity.
Don Genaro was not a very wealthy man but he was better off than most in her village. When she turned eighteen, he paid her way to the United States and arranged for the required legal documentation.
Shortly after arriving in the States, she married a Puerto Rican man, Roberto Rodriguez, as handsome a man she had ever met. After five years of continuous hard work, two children, and a part-time husband, she had aged twenty years.
She worked sixty hours a week as a cleaner at a chemical plant which damaged her health. She walked two miles to and from work in the raw Arizona climate. Roberto was unemployed and he simply disappeared one night when Amaya was two. Six years later he reconnected with Adeline and his family. She would not have him back but he did send the occasional support money order. Eventually, Roberto found a decent job with the California highway department and settled down with a new woman. Two years ago, he moved to Illinois to join his brother working in a sheet metal plant.
The genetic mix of the pretty Mexican, Adeline, and the handsome Puerto Rican, Roberto, produced two very attractive children. Amaya's beauty was apparent from her first days.
Adeline saved the support money Roberto sent and eventually, she and her two children moved to Claremont County, Missouri for the promise of work in a poultry processing plant. The job didn't last long, the plant closed five months after their arrival. Adeline and the kids barely survived on what she made cleaning houses.
Sra Adeline Rodriguez looked at the man across the desk from her. His eyes were kind. He had already won Amaya's young heart. She made her decision but first, she had to speak her mind.
"don Eduardo, I will accept the job but, you must understand. You will be Amaya's Patron; you will protect her and care for her. You will show her the ways of life; the ways of men and women. You will care for her needs and she will care for your needs. She will come here to you after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays, sometimes on Fridays, I will clean this office on Wednesdays so I do not interfere with the two of you. I will meet with you every Monday morning to plan my work week and discuss Amaya's care. You will look after her until my workday for you is finished. I will need you to help me get a new car if you want me to drive all over town every day. You will be gentle, kind, and caring to our Amaya. I think she is in love with you. You do not hurt her! Do you understand?"
"I … I … don't understand, Patron? What kind of car? Love?!"
"It is the way of my village. An older man will protect a fatherless young girl and show her the ways of life. It is what was done for me and my sister. It was done for my mother. It is what you will do for my Amaya. You are don Eduardo, and with my blessing, Amaya's Patron."
Ed sat in silence.
Adeline spoke again, "I like my little car, it just needs a check-up and gas."
"I'll arrange for a credit card for you. This Patron thing, you're sure? Do you know what it means? It's highly illegal."
"Yes, it is, that is how I am certain you will not back away from your responsibilities. You may see only the pleasures don Eduardo, but there are great responsibilities with what you are entering into. You must be certain. I will return tomorrow morning before my work. You will give me your decision."
Adeline rose, bowed, and left Ed sitting in contemplative silence in his chair.
He needed a moment; no, more than a moment to digest what he just heard! If he understood what Sra Rodriguez just said, Amaya would be his to do with as he wished, and in return, he would be her protector, her guardian if you will. Ed struggled with the legal ramifications but kept coming back to the feeling he had, that he trusted Sra Rodriguez! He thought she was being honest and she considered finding a … Patron … for her daughter to be a good thing.
He kept running over in his mind what she said, "It was the way of my village. An older man will protect a fatherless young girl and show her the ways of life. It is what was done for me and my sister. It was what was done for my mother. It is what you will do for my Amaya. You are don Eduardo, and with my blessing, Amaya's Patron."
He liked being called 'don Eduardo,' he liked the idea of being a Patron and, most of all, he liked Amaya. He set aside his concerns and worries. He looked at his life, which had so far been very safe, and mostly, rather chaste. He decided to accept the deal.
As far as practicalities, Mrs. Johnson came in on Monday afternoons, Wednesday mornings, and Friday mornings. She sometimes put in extra hours on Fridays, but that wouldn't matter. He would explain to her that Amaya would be around a bit as a favor to her mother, the new store cleaner. From what he knew about Mrs. Johnson, she didn't give much of a fuck about what people did anyway. He would have her draw up the employment agreements later that day and be ready to sign Sra Rodriguez the next day when they met.
Ed walked through the little house; he would have Amaya set up at the kitchen table. He would also have a spot for her in his office. He would make things as welcoming and friendly as possible for his … his … niece? Ward? Ed smiled and thought, 'My Amaya!'
That afternoon, Mrs. Johnson accepted his story with indifference, prepared the paperwork for Sra Rodriguez's employment, and then volunteered to run to the store and pick up some snacks and drinks that a young girl would like. Ed called his buddy Ralph the mechanic and arranged an appointment for Adeline's car at ten the next morning.
The next morning, Adeline Rodriguez became the newest employee of the York's Market family and Ed York became Amaya Rodriguez's Patron. Before leaving for the mechanic appointment, Adeline mentioned that Amaya would not show until Thursday after school. Adeline needed to arrange the proper bus permissions. She told Ed that there was a bus stop at the corner down the street from the office and he must be there at three to pick Amaya up.
Ed handed her the addresses of the stores and suggested that she visit each store that afternoon and introduce herself to the managers, who were expecting her visit. When she came in the next day to clean the office, he wanted a store cleaning schedule. Adeline understood and left to complete her tasks.
The previous night, Monday, at the Rodriguez apartment, Adeline explained to Amaya the agreement that was coming together with Ed.
"don Eduardo has offered me a very good job. We will be able to move to a much nicer place and soon we will be able to afford some of the nice things in life. Will you like that?"
"Oh, momma! Yes! I am so happy for you! don Eduardo is a very generous and nice man!"
Adeline smiled and nodded her head in agreement. She opened her arms and beckoned Amaya to sit with her, "Mi preciosa nina, Do you like don Eduardo?" "Oh mamma, he is such a nice man. He treats me very nicely and is also very handsome! You are lucky to have such a boss."
"But Amaya, do you like him?"
"Si, yes momma, why do you ask?"
"don Eduardo is to be your Patron."
Amaya sat and stared; she needed a moment to realize what her mother had just said. Then she understood. "Oh momma! Oh momma! don Eduardo? Mi Patron? Like your don Genaro? Oh yes! I was hoping you say this!"
Adeline hugged Amaya tighter and was pleased that she had made the correct decision.
"You will take a different bus after school Thursday and he will be at the bus stop to greet you." Adeline paused and got serious, "Amaya, you must not speak of this to anyone. America is a different country and no one would understand. If you say anything you will be sending don Eduardo to prison for a very long time and we will be very poor once again, do you understand?"
"Oh momma, I would not want don Eduardo to go to jail! I will not tell anyone, even if they were to torture me!"
Adeline laughed and held Amaya close and said, "I know you won't. We just have to be very careful. You never know who is watching or listening."
Later, as she was getting ready for bed, Amaya commented, "I wish I was going to don Eduardo's tomorrow." She pouted and looked at Adeline, "Maybe I should quit cheerleading and spend every day with him! Wouldn't that be wonderful!"
Adeline hugged her daughter and said, "Yes it would, but he wants you to keep up with your schoolwork and activities. You do not want to disappoint him."
"Oh momma, I promise I won't. May I wear my blue dress on Thursday?"
"That is a wonderful idea."
On Wednesday Adeline had her work schedule ready for Ed and he excused himself once she began cleaning the office. Suddenly feeling a little awkward around Adeline, he took a drive to the different stores and ended up getting some coffee at his favorite coffee shop. When he returned to the office, Adeline was just finishing up.
"Don Eduardo, let us speak one more time regarding Amaya."
They sat at the kitchen table.
"Don Eduardo, Amaya will be coming tomorrow. She is very excited."
"Probably not as excited as I am nervous!"
"I am sure she will be nervous as well. She is very happy though. You must take your time with her; she is on a journey of discovery, a discovery about herself. You are to guide her and instruct her. In my village, Patrons know their responsibilities. Do you know your responsibilities?"
"Adeline, I've taken some time to research this relationship, I believe I understand. I know I can, and want, to fulfill my role."
Adeline smiled at him, got up, and gathered her belongings together. "I will be going over to the Fourth Street store; it needs a lot of attention. I will be there all day tomorrow. Bless you, Mr. York, don Eduardo, Amaya's Patron." With a bow, she left the office.
===== Thursday Finally Arrives =====
Amaya was quietly excited all day Thursday. Her friends were very complimentary about her blue dress but Amaya realized it was drawing too much attention as she was asked several times what the special occasion was. Amaya decided that in the future she needed a different way to dress nicely for don Eduardo.
For Ed, the morning seemed to take forever to pass. After a light lunch, Ed checked to make sure everything was ready, for the third time. He went into the bedroom, set the alarm for ninety minutes, and lay down. Somehow, he dozed off and was awakened by the buzzing of the alarm.
He washed up, brushed his hair, and walked to the corner. There was no one else there as the bus pulled up. He looked to see if he could spot her through the windows but had no luck. The doors opened and four children spewed forth. Then he could see her, turning from the aisle, carefully stepping down the bus stairs and, at the bottom looking up at him with the warmest smile he had ever seen. His heart ached!
She stepped off the bus and walked toward him. Her backpack was heavy, it pulled at her shoulders. She wore a blue dress, it was high-waisted and, cinched tight, just under her developing breasts. It flowed down as pretty as a pretty little girl dress could be! She wore white anklets and flat black shoes.
Ed stepped towards her and reached a hand out, "Amaya, may I take your backpack."
Amaya smiled and turned while shrugging the backpack to his waiting hand. As Ed removed it, she commented, "Thank you very much don Eduardo."
Ed placed his hand on her back to guide her to the office but instead, she turned into him and gave him a very tight hug. With her head buried in his chest, she said, "I am so very happy that we can be together. You are a wonderful man."
Ed held her for a second and then made her break the hug and led her down the street.
"Amaya, I don't think you should hug me too much when we are out in public."
"Oh don Eduardo, I am sorry! I was just so glad to see you. I will be more careful in the future." Very demurely she asked, "With your permission, I would like to hold your hand."
Ed reached his free hand to hers and together they walked hand-in-hand to the office. He was having a difficult time. She was a vision of loveliness getting off the bus, her hug was just perfect, and now, her hand in his was the most wonderful sensation. She spoke of school as they walked and her voice was that of an angel! Ed was both excited and scared shitless!
He showed Amaya around the converted house. She took interest in the bedroom, she asked, "May I take a nap in here if I'm tired?"
Ed assured her she had full run of the entire place. It was to be her home away from home. She sat on the edge of the bed and asked Ed about his home. He described his three-bedroom house outside of town. Ed didn't care for neighborhoods or HOAs. He bought three wooded acres and had his place custom-built. It had an in-ground pool with a Jacuzzi, a game room, a media room and, a nice patio surrounding the pool.
Amaya oohed as he described his house. She asked. "don Eduardo, may I visit your house sometime?"
"Amaya, you are more than welcome to visit my house. It would be my great honor to have you as a guest. Amaya, when we are together, like this, alone, please call me Ed. I would be so much happier if you did. I love hearing you call me Ed."
Amaya smiled, hopped off the bed, and wrapped her arms around Ed while saying, "Sure! I'll call you Ed when we are here." She paused and looked up at him, "I will do whatever you like. You are my Patron and no one in the world is more important to me than you!"
"Are you hungry; would you like a snack … mi amor?"
Amaya pressed herself fully against Ed, she was so happy. He just said he loved her! She loosened and replied with a smile, "Yes, a snack, that will be nice … mi amor!"
They enjoyed some fruit and power water out on the patio. Ed had to ask, "Amaya, how is it that your mother selected me for you?"
"Oh no Ed, you are mistaken, it was I who selected you! I knew it the minute we first met. Momma found out who you were and we moved here to make it possible for us to meet. She would not arrange a meeting; she said that if it was meant to be, then we would meet again. Then you appeared at the fundraiser. From then you had no choice. You brought me to you just as you were meant to. This was all meant to be. My mamma knew it, I knew it, and now you know it."
Ed considered what the girl said and now fully accepted his fate. As he glanced across the table, he felt warm contentment.
Amaya continued, "Momma had told me all about don Genaro back in Mexico. She explained everything, all my life I've been looking for … "
"Amaya, all my life I've been looking for you!"
Amaya rose from her seat and walked over to Ed. She turned slightly so she could slide on to his lap. Ed held the dear girl and breathed in all that was Amaya. She turned her head and they gazed into each other's eyes. Ed had an arm around her waist and the other resting on her lap. Amaya wrapped her arms around Ed's neck.
He leaned forward and asked, "Amaya, may I kiss you?"
It was a soft, lingering kiss.
Amaya thought she was going to die! Her first kiss and it was wonderful! She pushed into Ed's lips with her lips and pressed hard. She was surprised when started to move his lips. He pushed her lips away a bit with his and then he kissed her upper lip. Then he kissed her lower lip. Amaya felt all sorts of strange feelings run through her. She thought she had to pee, or puke, or something. It didn't matter, she loved kissing Ed!
Ed loosened up on Amaya and slowly broke their kiss. He gave her three little quick kisses to end it. He said, "As much as I love kissing you, I have some work to do and you should have some homework."
"Oh Ed, I love kissing you. Yes, I have homework. Let's both get to work!"
And work they did! Amaya sat at the little kitchen table and he at his desk in the office. Amaya took a break to go to the bathroom and once came into the office just to give Ed a kiss, which he greatly appreciated.
After ninety minutes, Amaya carried her math book into the office and asked Ed for some help. She came around the desk and stood next to Ed who rolled his chair back and made room for her. Amaya turned and slid up on Ed's right thigh, placing the book on the desk. Ed leaned forward until his head was next to hers and he could see the book. He turned his head, buried his face into her hair, and inhaled deeply.
Amaya moved her head and shifted so she could face Ed. She leaned into him and they kissed. This time Ed found his left hand cradling Amaya's thigh.
As they kissed, he slowly moved his hand until he had a firm hold of one sweet, twelve-year-old, ass cheek. They kissed as he fondled her, moving from one cheek to the other. She was hugging his neck tighter, lifting herself to allow him access.
Amaya had learned to love kissing that day and also found out that she liked how Ed's hands made her feel when he touched her in the "wrong touch" places! At least, she loved where his touching had ventured so far. She also liked how that hard thing in his lap felt against her thigh. She knew he wanted her, and she loved him for not pushing her.
Ed had kept his hand over her skirt. He so wanted to slide his hand under her dress! He held off though, he had time; he didn't want to rush or frighten the girl. He had all the time in the world and he planned on savoring every minute he had with her.
So it went for three weeks. Amaya and Ed were together every Tuesday, Thursday, and as it turned out, every Friday. He attended two of the youth league games during that time and found great satisfaction in watching Amaya cheer. At each game, the pretty Miss Judy made a point of greeting him with a nice hug and at the second game, a kiss on the cheek. Ed enjoyed the attention and Amaya often teased him about the pretty Miss Judy. One day she seriously told him that he should ask Miss Judy out on a date. After much conversation, Ed agreed to ask Miss Judy out on a date, sometime soon.
Adeline Rodriguez was very happy with how everything was working out. Her new job was good, she put in extra time to self-justify her salary, Amaya was very happy and don Eduardo was treating her daughter very well, a perfect Patron! Amaya told her mother everything that went on and their mother-daughter bond became tighter. Adeline even approved of Amaya's suggestion that she tell Don Eduardo to ask Miss Judy out on a date.
===== Horizons Broaden =====
At the end of the month, Ed decided he and Amaya needed to do some different activities. Ed decided that on Fridays, he and Amaya would go out. Out to museums, parks, places of interest, maybe even a movie or two. He wanted to take her out for dinner, take her shopping … maybe invite her to his house.
As usual, Adeline met with him on Monday morning and Ed made his proposal.
"Have you spoken to Amaya about this?"
"No, I thought it would be best if we discussed it first. I didn't want her to be disappointed if you did not approve."
"don Eduardo, you are the Patron! It is not my place to approve or not. You gave me your word and I trust you without question."
"Should I not inform you of my plans if they change from the usual?"
"Yes, yes, that would be good. What are you planning for this Friday?"
"I will start picking her up at school tomorrow, no more riding the bus when she comes to me."
Adeline nodded her head in understanding.
"This Friday I will take her to my house and she will stay for dinner, or maybe we shall dine out. On Wednesday, I need you to bring me an overnight bag for Amaya in case I decide to have her spend the night."
This caused a slight jolt in Adeline but, she simply nodded her head.
"Please make sure you include double toiletries, I want her to be able to brush her teeth, clean up, whatever, whether she is here or at my house … or away with me."
Ed could see the look in Adeline's eyes but she betrayed no shock otherwise, she simply nodded.
"Use the credit card I gave you to get her anything she needs. I will take her clothes shopping on Friday."
Adeline nodded her head and asked, "Is that all?"
"Regarding Amaya, yes. The reports from the stores concerning your work have been outstanding. In my inspections I find the change to be outstanding. I have been considering expanding and if I do, I will need one or two more cleaners, you would be in charge of them."
"Don Eduardo, thank you very much. I will work to prove your faith in me is correct …"
Ed knew she had something more to say, "And?"
Adeline sat up, "don Eduardo, two weeks from Saturday my church is having an all-day retreat. Would you be willing to have Amaya stay with you Friday and Saturday night?"
Ed controlled himself, in an even voice he replied, "Yes, I will take her for you."
Adeline stood, thanked him, and left for work.
Ed didn't move right away, he sat in thought, planning the next couple of weeks.
