Another weekend went by, and soon Nikki will be on summer holiday and have more time to do what she wants. We had two girls here on Saturday who brought us the tent for our trip, and we made snacks, and we all watched soccer on TV. Nikki was sitting with me on the couch, and we snuggled together so she was in my lap where I could hold her, and one of the girls said something like, 'She's very affectionate, isn't she?' I don't know if she thought we had something going on, but it's quite possible. I told her she likes attention, and I left it at that, and she only smiled but didn't say anything more. Maybe she didn't want to make me feel uncomfortable, but I wouldn't mind telling her about us if she asked me anything more. I think Nikki is now old enough for any normal person to have a crush on her, and I don't want to feel guilty about it. Maybe she even thought I was lucky to have her beside me.
