I think Nikki is lucky to go to nightclubs sometimes. I'm pretty sure people see she's under 18, but once she's inside it doesn't matter. It's important to smuggle her past the guard who looks for underage people. Sometimes they'll let us in just like that, and sometimes they won't. I try to come up with stories to convince them, but they don't work every time. We don't go to nightclubs very often, maybe three or four times a year, but she likes them because she likes the music and dancing and it's all fun for her. When we went out for my birthday, my friends thought it was great she was coming with us, and one of my friends danced with her, and then I danced with her later when they played a slow song. One thing that's nice about Nikki is that she loves attention, and she's friendly with everyone and loves talking with people.
We went to my friend one day to get those books for Nikki, and she's reading one now. It is about a teen boy and a little girl who were kidnaped in Africa, and then they escaped and made their way through Africa until they were rescued. I don't know what the others are about. She said she will take them on a trip with her.
I think I wrote the last time that she will start swimming in September. They have an outdoor and an indoor pool so she will swim in both depending on the weather. She made me promise not to look at the other girls at the pool, and I told her it will be hard to do because they are everywhere.
I borrowed a little tent from one of the girls we went camping with last year. It's the same tent Nikki and I slept in, and we will take it with us on the trip. We know how to put it together, and it's big enough for us. It's just a little round orange tent, and we can sleep inside and even make some food on a little stove if it's raining outside.
Last Friday I wanted to do something different so I took Nikki out to a romantic dinner in a nice restaurant. It was very good, and we both liked it. We have also stopped going to Yoga classes because we weren't learning anything new there, and we enjoy doing exercises at home when we are alone. It's more fun that way, and we can be intimate without people looking at us. We can even take our clothes off and play around or help each other do Yoga. I often give her a massage afterwards while she lays on the bed, and she pays me back with kisses. This is more fun than going to the class!
Tomorrow afternoon we are going to visit Nikki's grandparents, and we'll stay there all weekend. We are looking forward to it because we had a great time last time we went there. We will probably go hiking if the weather is nice and look for wild strawberries in the forest if we find any. The only thing I don't like is that we can't be close to each other because of her grandparents unless we go outdoors or at night when everyone is asleep.
Nikki and I talked some more about the gay and lesbian group at her school. I don't think she will say anything that could cause us trouble, but I guess it's also easy for her to say something without even realizing what she said. I think it would be a good thing for her to meet others like her, but I'll leave it for her to decide. I wouldn't want her to find another girlfriend though, but I think it's only a matter of time now as she gets older and meets more people. I will surely miss her if she does, and I will probably feel alone, but I hope we'll stay friends forever.
I saw Ella the other day. She is still looking good and going to school. We went out for lunch, and she said she was still going on a camping trip with her friends, and I told her I will go alone with Nikki. She didn't look surprised, but I think she thinks I'm weird because I like Nikki. I wish she weren't like that because I still like her.
