K's Diary. . .

I had a lovely birthday. Nikki gave me Dido's new CD and a big kiss. She came to my place after school, and in the evening we went out with some of my friends, and we smuggled Nikki into a night club. It was fun; we danced and ate a nice dinner, but we couldn't stay long because Nikki had school the next day. After we said good night to my friends we went back home. She was allowed to sleep over for one night and we were both happy about it. We listened to the CD she gave me and we both loved it. Then we took a hot bath and played around in the water, but this made us sleepy very soon, and we went to bed where I thanked her for her present with lots of kisses. We also talked about the summer and tried to make plans for the trip. We will probably go camping just the two of us sometime in August after she comes back from Italy where she's going with her parents for one week. Our trip will probably be about two weeks or more if her parents let her, and I will buy a tent in which we'll camp. We will travel around in my car, but at night we will sleep in the tent and sleeping bags. We don't know where exactly we'll be going yet. I would like to go all the way to France, but it's a long way, and I don't think we'll make it. It's also expensive, but we should save money by camping out. We are both excited about it!

That incident with the woman at the soccer game has settled down for now at least. I hope it won't resurrect some time in the future. I know how incredible it sounds that social workers would call Nikki's parents, but I have a feeling she told them much more than what actually happened. I don't think they would bother calling anyone just because of the kiss, so it makes me wonder what she actually told them. She probably made up a story that I was French kissing Nikki and who knows what else. It makes me angry that someone like that can cause so much trouble to people who did nothing wrong. I'm happy that Nikki is not bothered by it anymore. She hasn't mentioned it to me again although we are still looking for her new sport. It looks like she'll settle down for the swimming. I think she likes swimming school more than riding because she would be in a group with other little girls and she would have a young female coach who is cute. I hope she doesn't have a crush on her. But in any case, she can't enroll in her new class until September when the new school year starts, so until then we still have plenty of time to decide what to do. So far we are happy with Yoga and now that her bicycle is fixed we will go out riding our bikes.

The weather's been really bad lately and it looks like it will continue raining for the whole week. It's Saturday now and we didn't go anywhere today because of the rain. Nikki's doing her homework and playing her guitar. Later we will watch some movies and practice Yoga before we go to bed. I don't know what we will do tomorrow. Tomorrow we are going to visit one of my friends who said she has some books for Nikki. She didn't say they are lesbian books, just some adventure and girly books.

There is a gay and lesbian group in Nikki's school, and I encouraged her to go there if she is interested. Maybe she could meet some new friends. She said she will look at it, but she's a little shy. She said she would like to go with a friend there, but none of her friends are openly gay or lesbian, and the group is mostly for older teens, so she would probably stand out being only 13.
