K's Diary. . .

Nikki is going back to school now and she already has homework to do. Her soccer training will start next weekend too. I thought it would be nice to take her out before her school starts, somewhere like an all-girl nightclub where we can listen to the music and dance all night and then sleep until late on Sunday. She said the club we went to the last time was great so I took her there again early before it becomes too hard for underage girls to get in. I was expecting to have more trouble getting her in but after some talking and convincing they gave in. I said I was her babysitter and that it was her birthday but I don't know if they believed me or not. Probably not. I even let her drink some orange juice with vodka. It's probably a bad thing that I let her do that but she wanted to try it and it's hard to tell her no when I try to be fair and equal with her and she wants to feel grown up. We were dancing and listening to the music until 1am and when we left we were both tired and sleepy but happy that we had a really good time. The nightclub and the music was fun and we laughed a lot and watched other girls. She even pointed out some cute older girls she said she liked. It made me happy that she was so relaxed about it.

The following day we slept until noon and then felt very lazy all day. When we woke up it was a little cold and foggy outside so we didn't feel like getting up. We stayed in bad and kissed and talked about the last night at the nightclub. She wanted to know if she dances well and I said she was amazing which made her giggle. Then we talked about soccer and the girls in her team. She made some good friends there and she says they are better friends than the girls at her classroom because they don't tease her or call her a lesbian. Now when she has sleepovers or goes out to the movies, she goes with these girls instead.

Later the day turned out to be warm and sunny so we decided to go shopping and have something to eat. She asked me to buy her ice cream and then we went to a little park and sat down on the grass eating our ice cream and watching some students play drums and instruments on the sidewalk so people would give them money. Nikki joked that they were hippies because they all had long hair and looked very tribal but I think she liked them because she's been trying to dress and look like a little hippie girl herself lately and then as we passed them she gave them few coins.

After we've done our ice cream, we went shopping like all girls like to do. We bought some jumpers because it's getting colder now and some new clips for her hair. She also wanted to buy a new school backpack but couldn't find any that she liked. It was an early afternoon and after a quick lunch in a little cake shop (her favorite!) we went to the library to return that Nicole Foster's book she was reading. I promised her to borrow some more books for her because she really enjoyed reading this one but was embarrassed to go there by herself and borrow them all alone.

We returned home just before the storm broke out. We were tired from walking so we watched a movie and then in a couple of hours it was already time to take her back home. It was still raining outside so neither of us felt like going out again. Then Nikki said she will call home and ask her dad if she could stay overnight and he said that's okay with him so when she hang up we were jumping up and down and hugging like mad! There's nothing much else to say except we went early to bed and enjoyed each other's company until we fell asleep. I think she was already asleep when I whispered in her ear 'I love you'. I hope she had sweet dreams.
