I have my car back but when it was fixed I had to claim the insurance and it kept me busy all week. I had to take the bus until they fixed my car which was an interesting change. I take the bus sometimes on weekends but now I had to do it every day and because I was going to work just before 9 o'clock I saw lots of schoolkids going to their schools and I saw a couple of cute girls on the bus one day and they sat on the seat before me and they were talking about some movies.
I've heard from Ella. She called me one day to ask how's everything going and we spoke for a long time. I think we miss each other but we didn't say that. She lives with her dad now and still goes to university. She didn't mention Nikki but she asked me if I would come to some party and I said I was busy. I said we could meet one day for lunch near her school and she said that would be nice. So I think I'll see her later this week.
Nikki's parents are not religious and we don't have religion in schools here so for her angels are something fun and pretty instead of something religious. When she was younger she liked to dress up with wings to look like an angel and then she would play like that. I can tell you that Math is not her favorite subject but she likes science and computers. They don't teach them programming in school yet. She's too young for that but maybe she'll like it one day. I think she's more inclined towards medicine so I wouldn't be surprised if she decides to become a doctor or something like that.
I was actually surprised that she told her friends at sleepover that she kissed a girl. She said later that she didn't care about telling them or that they made fun of her because she said that, but I know she gets hurt when her friends laugh at her and it hurts me too that they laughed at her. She tries not to make a big deal from it but I can tell she was upset about it. It's not uncommon for girls to act like that because they are influenced by what their parents think and their friends too so they don't necessarily think it's wrong for girls to kiss but they think that's the right way to react when a girl kisses another girl. I tried to explain this to Nikki but it doesn't mean much to her. It's more important for her to be accepted by her friends and that's why she gets hurt if they laugh at her.
There's nothing special that we did last weekend. She had her usual soccer practice and she scored a goal! I was very proud of her. Her dad was with me too and we were watching the game and after the game she came running to me and we hugged. I asked her if Ina and Helen would like to come with us for lunch so she went to ask them and they said they could. Then her dad told her to be a good girl and left. We packed up her things in a bag and when the girls came we all went to the little food court close by where I bought them some food from kids menus and we all talked about the game and the things they like to do. Ina said she has a puppy which Nikki wanted to play with so they arranged to meet one day after school. Later we went home and the girls went to their own homes.
This weekend was special to Nikki. I took her out to a restaurant on Saturday night and we stayed at home most of the time spending lots of time cuddling and kissing the way she likes it most. We even read some children's stories she liked when she was little. On Sunday we went to the ZOO because it was a beautiful spring day. We tried to see as much as we could so we stayed there for a few hours and by the end of the day we were both tired. In the evening we watched a really nice movie on TV. It's called "All Over Me" which is about two girls who fall in love in New York. It has good music too. She also played games on the computer and showed me how to cheat on her Mini Soccer game.
Next weekend will be more fun because if the weather is fine we will go away to a little place where they'll hold a fair and market. There will be some fun rides for children and food and I think they'll even bring farm animals for kids to play with. So me and Nikki are looking forward to that.
At work one day there was a discussion about pedophilia and someone pointed at the photogrph of Nikki that I keep on my desk and said that something like that could cause suspicion in America. The people who were discussing it were surprised how parents can get arrested in America for taking pictures of their children taking a bath. I said how we are lucky it's not like that here yet. Then someone said how maybe it would be better to be suspicious because it would protect children but not many agreed with that person. So I think for now most people are still reasonable and not paranoid about pedophilies. I hope it stays that way.
