It's so nice to be on vacation! It's late morning, and I'm drinking hot tea and writing in my diary while it snows outside. Ella is still asleep in our bed because she likes to sleep until late.

I think Ella is starting to wonder about me and Nikki but she hasn't asked or suggested anything to me yet. I'm more and more serious about coming out to her on New Year's Eve. I hope to be alone with her, but knowing her, she will probably want to go out to a party so I will have to find a different time to tell her, maybe while we are hiking or at night in bed.

I bought a Christmas present for Ella. It's a little jeweled ring for her belly button and a pair of mittens which she'll need for our hiking holiday.

I'm going to wake up Ella now; I feel alone when she's not with me, or I might join her in bed and give her a cuddle.
