Chapter 84
Jeri and April arrived at seven o'clock the next morning. They sat in the kitchen, talking to Rosa and drank coffee.
"You made a wonderful dinner last night, Rosa," April said.
"Thank you. I'm happy you enjoyed it," Rosa replied in her thick Spanish accent.
"I though it was nice Mr. Stone invited you to eat with us," Jeri said.
Rosa nodded her head. "It was the first time I ever ate with the family. I always eat in the kitchen. The children are also very nice, they helped me with the food and dishes."
"These people are very different than any of the other guests I've met here," Jeri said. "They are so nice. Last night, I felt like part of the party, not a guest."
Don walked into the kitchen and asked where the coffee cups were. Rosa got up, but Don told her to sit and just tell him where to find the cups. When Rosa pointed to a cupboard, Don opened it, removed a cup and poured himself a cup of coffee.
"How is everyone this morning?" Don asked as he pulled out a chair and joined the women at the small table.
"Fine, Mr. Graham. How are you?" Jeri said.
"Great, I'm having a wonderful time here. Are you and April taking the girls out on the boat today?" Don asked.
"Yes, Sir. We are going to take them fishing. I understand the boys have something else to do," Jeri said.
"Jack and Tom are going to check out a boat today. We're thinking of getting something bigger than the boat Jack has now. Are you familiar with Bowman Boat Works, Jeri?" Don said.
"Yes, I'm very familiar with them. I've delivered several boats for Mr. Bowman, before he sold the business. Bowman boats are as good as they get as far as I'm concerned. I've piloted quite a few custom yachts and Bowman yachts are great. How big is the boat you're planning on having built?" Jeri asked.
"I'm not planning on having one built. Apparently there is a boat someone ordered and then ran out of money. We're going to look at it today. My only concern is if Jack can learn to operate a large boat. I was hoping to find a school I can send Jack and Tom to if we decide to buy the boat," Don said.
"There are a lot of schools down here, Mr. Graham. Some of them are good, others only do it for the money and really don't teach everything you need to know," Jeri said. "If you decide to buy the boat, I can give you the name of some of the better ones. Are you going to charter the yacht if you buy it?"
"Yes, I plan on having Jack, Tom and their sisters make some money with the boat at some point. Not because we need to, but I want them to learn about having to work for a living," Don told them.
April sat up straight and smiled. "Jeri and I could teach them. Jeri can teach the boys how to operate the boat and I can teach the girls what's required of the crew."
Jeri laughed, but Don said, "I think it's a good idea, April. I'd be happy to pay you whatever a school would charge for the same thing."
"Are you serious, Mr. Graham?" Jeri asked.
"Very serious. I have to pay someone; it may as well be someone I know. Don't say anything about this to the kids. I want to see if we decide to buy the boat first. If we do decided to buy it, we'll talk about April's idea," Don said. "What time are you supposed to go fishing this morning?"
"I'm not sure, when the girls get up I guess," Jeri said.
Don laughed and said, "I'll go wake them up. If you wait for them, it may be noon before you get out."
Don left the kitchen and went to Kim's room. He knocked on the door and waited for an answer before opening the door. Kim pulled the door open and grinned.
"Morning, Dad. What's up?" Kim said.
"Jeri and April are here and waiting for you girls to go fishing. Are you going?"
"Yeah, what time is it?"
"It's seven thirty, Kim." Don replied as he peaked into the room and noticed the bed was empty. "Where is Paul?"
"He went golfing with his dad and brother. They left at about six thirty. Paul said they were going to play on three different courses today. Something about getting ideas for the golf course in Michigan."
"Okay, Kim. Get dressed and wake up the other kids. Uncle Tom and I want to get going."
Kim nodded and Don left. She went to the other rooms, woke the other kids and then went to get ready.
Sally came into Kim's room and then into the bathroom. Kim was in the shower and Sally pulled the door open a couple inches so she could talk to Kim.
"What are you going to wear today, Kim?"
"Damn, Sally, you scared the crap out of me! I don't know, shorts and a top I guess. What are you going to wear?"
"I think I'm going to wear the one piece outfit we bought last summer when we were on vacation."
Kim shut off the water, opened the door and stepped out of the shower. She grabbed a towel and wrapped it around her wet body.
"Is something wrong, Sally?"
Sally shrugged her shoulders.
"What is it?"
"I don't know, I thought I wanted Brad to kind of control me, but now I'm not sure. He's getting into it too much. Last night he wanted me to suck him after he screwed my butt. I told him I wouldn't do it and he got mad." Sally looked into Kim's eyes. "That's just sick!"
"Sally, you're the one who told him you wanted to have a relationship like you do. Now when he does what you told him to do you get mad. I think you don't know want you want."
"Maybe I don't know. I'm just so confused?"
"Go get dressed, Sally. We can talk about it later."
Sally nodded and left the room. Kim finished, got dressed and went out for breakfast. Megan and Lisa were at the table eating when Kim came in and she joined them. Sally came in a few minutes later and sat down. Jeri and April came into the dinning room and sat at the table with the four girls.
"So, what do you guys want to fish for today?" Jeri asked. "We can try for Wahoo or Dolphin if you'd like."
"I don't know anything about it," Megan said. "I guess it doesn't matter to me."
"Can we just go for a boat ride?" Lisa asked. "Maybe we can fish too, but I'd like to see some of the mansions I've heard so much about."
"We can do whatever you want to," Jeri said. "I'm just the captain."
The girls chatted for a while as they finished their breakfast. Don, Marc and the other parents gathered in the room and took seats around the table. Rosa began pouring coffee and asking what they wanted for breakfast. Jack and Tom came in and sat with the rest of the group.
"What time are we leaving, Dad?" Jack asked.
"As soon as we're finished with breakfast, Jack," Don replied. "It's about an hour from here."
"Are you guys ready?" Jeri said. "April and I will go get the boat started while you get your things. We'll meet you down there."
April and Jeri left for the boat. The girls said goodbye to their parents and went to their rooms to get their bikinis and a change of clothes. When they arrived at the boat, the girls saw Jeri and April on the flying bridge, wrapped in one another's arms.
Lisa called out and the two older girls separated. Kim, Sally, Lisa and Megan climbed aboard and stowed their bags in the cabin. The sun was up and it was beginning to get warm.
Once April freed the boat from the seawall, Jeri pulled away. All of the girls gathered on the flying bridge and watched as Jeri maneuvered the boat though the canal toward the bay. Jeri kept close to shore so the girls could see the large homes as they motored south toward Miami.
Kim and Sally sat next to one another while Megan and Lisa sat close to April and Lisa.
They were about an hour into the day when Megan said, "Jeri, April, do you mind if I ask a personal question?"
"No, go ahead, Megan," April said.
"How long have you two been together?"
"Over three years." April said.
"Did either of you ever have boyfriends?" Megan asked.
Both April and Jeri laughed. "Yes, we've had boyfriends."
"Oh, I was just wondering," Megan said. "You guys seem to be so close."
"We are, Megan, we're very close. Jeri and I love one another. We have both been in relationships with men. Some good, but for the most part, the relationships weren't what we wanted." Jeri took April's hand as April told Megan and the other girls about them. "We still go out with guys, we both like sex with men, but when we go home, it's always together."
"Do you mean you just use men for sex?" Lisa asked.
Jeri and April broke out in laughter. "Yeah, I guess you could put it that way, Lisa," Jeri said. "What the hell, men have been using women for sex for years. It's about time someone turned the tables."
Megan and Lisa laughed. Kim and Sally giggled and then Sally said, "What else are they good for?"
"Don't get me wrong, I'm not a man hater," Jeri said. "I just have better luck with April. She knows how to treat a woman, if you know what I mean."
Megan grinned and nodded.
"It's not just sex, although it's great with Jeri, it's much more. Jeri knows when I need to talk and when I want to be alone. We can have a nice time just reading or watching television together. When we want to get laid, we just find a guy and go for it."
"At one of those parties Kim told us about?" Lisa said.
"You mean sport fucking parties? Yeah, that's a good place to get laid," Jeri said.
"Then it's true? I thought Kim and Sally were kidding when they told us about them," Megan said. "Everybody just gets together with someone else and goes at it?"
"I guess that sums it up pretty well. No one gets hung up with the boyfriend, girlfriend thing. We just get together on a yacht when the owner is away and have a blast. When the party's over, we all clean the boat and leave," April said. "No harm no foul."
"It's not like it's a bunch of strangers, we all know each other. The boating community down here is really close for the most part. We're all just working for someone. Most of the owners are away from their yachts more than they are on them. We still have to keep the boats ready and clean," Jeri said.
The group cruised until about eleven thirty. Jeri and April showed the girls some of the mansions owned by celebrities and other well known people.
"Just let me know when you guys want lunch," April said.
"Can we find a place to anchor and have lunch?" Kim asked. "I'd like to go swimming after we eat."
Jeri navigated into a cove, dropped the anchor and the girls went down to the cabin. April began fixing lunch while the Kim and the other girls changed into their bikinis. Jeri asked if she and April could wear their suits also and Kim said, "Why not?"
"Well, sometimes when we're working the people who charter won't allow us to wear our swimsuits. Most of the time we're in uniform. White shirts and shorts," Jeri said.
"We're not most people," Sally said. "I don't care if you run around naked."
"Don't tempt Jeri," April said from the galley. "She'll be in the buff in an instant."
"Whatever," Sally said. "Please feel free to do what you want."
April served a cold chicken salad and pita bread for lunch. The six girls sat at the table and chatted as they ate lunch. Once they were finished, April and Jeri cleared the table and cleaned up the galley. Kim, Sally, Lisa and Megan went out to the cockpit and leaned against the gunwale.
"It's really great out here," Lisa said.
"Yes, I love it," Megan said. "This is much better than that resort we were at the first week, more to do."
"I liked the resort, but I agree, this is better," Sally said. "Look how blue the water is."
Jeri and April came out of the cabin wearing skimpy bikinis. Jeri carried a stack of white towels.
"We can go up to the bow and get some sun if you guys want to. There's plenty of room for all of us," Jeri said.
The girls moved forward along the portside of the cabin. They walked onto the bow and began spreading out the towels. Once the towels were in place, they stretched out in the sun. Kim was the first of the group to remove her top and lay on her back. When Sally saw Kim, she too removed her top.
It wasn't long before all six of the girls were topless and sunning. The girls continued to tan for an hour, rolling from their stomachs to their backs. Sally sat up, stretched and said, "I'm going to go for a swim."
Kim got up and followed her cousin to the cockpit and opened the transom door. They jumped into the water and began to move around. The other girls joined them and they moved into chest deep water so they could stand. After a ten minutes of splashing and swimming around, Kim and Megan went back to the boat. The two girls climbed into the cockpit and Kim took out the freshwater wash down hose. She and Megan took turns rinsing the saltwater off each other and then looked back at the rest of the group.
The other four girls were swimming back to the boat. When they climbed aboard, Kim used the hose to rinse them off. They milled around the cockpit, letting the sum dry and warm them. April and Jeri stood facing one another, whispering. Suddenly, Jeri took April in her arms and kissed her.
Kim and Sally smiled at one another and jokingly hugged and shared a quick kiss. Lisa looked at Megan, shrugged her shoulders and put her arms around Megan's waist. Megan didn't resist as Lisa pulled her to her body and touched her lips to Megan's.
Lisa and Megan's kiss became heated. Lisa opened her mouth and touched her tongue to Megan's lips. Megan hugged her tighter, opened her mouth and accepted her tongue. The two girls became lost in the moment. They could feel their breasts pressed together and the other's hands on their backs. Lisa held Megan's tongue between her lips and gently sucked it as Megan moaned.
Megan and Lisa separated and gazed into one another's eyes. They were unaware the other girls were watching them. Kim and Sally stood with open mouths. April and Jeri smiled at one another. Slowly, Megan and Lisa moved apart, but their eyes remained locked. Lisa began to smile and moved away from Megan.
"What just happened?" Lisa asked, whispering to Megan.
Megan shook her head. "I'm not sure."
"I think we should leave them alone," April said and she began walking to the bow.
Jeri, Kim and Sally followed April and the four of them sat on the towels.
"Did you feel what I felt, Megan?" Lisa asked.
Megan moved closer to Lisa, took her in her arms and began kissing her again. The two girls tangled their tongues and started to rub their hands over the other's body. Megan pressed her crotch against Lisa's and ground against her. Lisa moved her hand to one of Megan's breasts and massaged it.
When they moved apart, Megan smiled and said, "Yes, I felt it."
"What's happening, Megan?"
"I'm not really sure, Lisa. All I know is I liked it, I liked it a lot."
Don and Marc waited in the van with Jerry for Jack and Tom. The two boys came out, climbed in and Don pulled away. It was very quiet at first as the two boys watched out the windows. Finally, Jack broke the silence.
"Dad, what if we don't like this boat? Can we look at others?" Jack said.
"We'll see, Jack. Let's not think too far ahead right now. We're just going to look at this boat first. If we don't think it's the right one, we talk about something else," Don said.
Don drove and Jerry navigated. When they turned down a road lined with large metal buildings, Jerry pointed to an older blue building.
"That's it over there," Jerry said. "On the right."
Don turned into the driveway and slowly drove to an area where other cars were parked. They all got out of the van and waited for the man they saw walking towards them.
"Hello there, I'm Harry Shockley." The man extended his hand.
"Don Graham. This is Marc and our sons, Tom and Jack. I think you know Jerry Stone."
Harry shook everyone's hand and said, "Yes, Jerry and I have been talking. Ready to see the boat?"
"Yes, Sir," Jack said.
"Okay, follow me," Harry said and he walked toward one of the buildings.
The group followed him into the building and over to an old rundown wooden thirty foot cruiser. The boat was in very poor shape and looked like it wouldn't even float.
"Let me get a ladder so you boys can climb up and have a look around," Harry said.
Tom looked at Jack and the two boys shook their heads.
"I don't think it's necessary, Mr. Shockley." Tom said. "This isn't what Jack and I had in mind. We were looking for something a little longer and newer."
"Well, I'm sorry you boys don't like it her. Sorry to have wasted your time," Harry said and then glanced at Don.
"Do you have anything else?" Don asked.
"Well, I do have another boat, but I'm not sure the boys will like it any better," Harry said.
"If it's all the same to you, we'd like to see it anyway," Marc said.
"Okay, it's over in one of the finish wells. We can take a look if you'd like," Harry said as he started to walk away.
Tom and Jack followed Harry with Don, Marc and Jerry close behind. Jack looked at Tom and began to whisper.
"I sure as hell hope it's not another piece of shit like the one in the shed. That thing wasn't worth cutting up into firewood."
"No kidding, Jack. Your boat is much better than that."
Harry waited at the door of another building as the others caught up. Once everyone was there, he opened the door and let Tom and Jack into the building. Don, Marc, Jerry and Harry followed the boys waiting for their reaction.
Jack and Tom froze in their tracks and gasped when they saw the boat in the shed. They looked at the yacht and then at one another.
"Holly shit!" Jack said and he turned to his Dad. "Is this the boat?"
Don and the other men broke out laughing and Don nodded. When Jack and Tom looked at Harry, he put his hands in the air.
"Don't blame me, I'm just doing what I was told. The other boat was your fathers' idea," Harry said. "I don't think I'll ever forget the look on your faces when you saw that old boat though, it was priceless."
Tom and Jack began to laugh and turned back to the yacht. As they stood staring, Harry began to tell them about it.
"She's one hundred forty five feet with the swim platform and cockpit. Her beam is twenty five feet," Harry told them. "Where do you want to start?"
"I don't know where to start," Jack said, keeping his eye on the large white yacht.
Harry chuckled and said, "Well, let's go aboard and take a look around."
"I'll be right back," Tom said. "I've got to go get my camera."
Tom ran out of the building to the van. He grabbed his camera bag and ran back. Placing the bag on the floor, he took out the camera, the flash and a wide angle lens. Once he was set, he stood up and said, "I'm ready."
Harry led the group the mid ship entrance. They boarded on the starboard side and walked aft to the cabin door. Once inside, Harry directed them to a small staircase leading below.
"This is the crews' quarters. There are two double staterooms for the crew and a stateroom for the captain. The captain's stateroom has it's own head with a shower and the crew share another." Harry opened a set of doors. "This is the laundry with a full sized washer and dryer. Through this hatch is the engine room."
Jack noticed the crew's quarters were finished except for the mattresses. He pointed into the captains stateroom and said to Tom, "Pretty nice isn't it. It's almost as big as the guest staterooms on the Viking."
Tom nodded and took a couple of shots of the room.
Harry turned two large handles and opened the insulated hatch. He stepped into the engine room and walked between the two diesel engines.
"She is powered by twin V Detroit Diesel/MTU Engines, each producing eighteen hundred horsepower. There are twin Northern Lights generators, each of them are rated at ninety nine kW. The water maker will convert forty five hundred gallons of seawater to freshwater a day."
Harry pointed and Tom took pictures. The engine room was finished in diamond plate aluminum and painted bright white. When he was finished telling the group about the power plants and heating and cooling, they left the engine room.
Back on the main deck, Harry took them into the galley and went over the features. He pointed to the booth and said, "This will seat eight comfortably, ten in a pinch. I have the appliances in storage. There are two full sized Subzero, side by side refrigerator/freezers." Harry listed all of the appliances for the galley.
Leaving the galley, they went into the dining salon. The room wasn't finished yet but Harry told them what it would look like when it was. They moved into the main salon and stood in the huge unfinished room. After Tom took photos, they went to the master stateroom and looked around.
"The master stateroom is designed to have a king sized bed to the starboard, a settee over there and a couple of chairs. There are plasma televisions in each stateroom as well as full entrainment centers. The master head has an oversized shower, a Jacuzzi tub for two. All of the counters are granite and the floors are ceramic. The fixtures are all Kohler and stainless steel." Harry let the group have a look around and then they moved on to the main deck VIP stateroom, forward of the master stateroom.
They went down a spiral staircase to the lower deck and Harry showed them the four guest staterooms. Each stateroom contained a frame for a double bed, a head with shower and an entertainment center. There was an ample cedar hanging locker, a bank of dresser drawers and a small desk in each room.
In the bow portion of the lower deck was another stateroom with four three quarter berths and a small head with a shower. Harry explained it was for children or additional crew.
Next stop was the pilothouse and lounge. Harry took almost an hour to explain all the features.
"The yacht has stabilizers, and a bow thruster. To the port and starboard sides, are controls so the captain can see the side of the yacht when docking and operate her. There are two radar units, one long range and one short range. She has the latest in electronics," Harry said.
"There is a stateroom in here," Harry opened a door in the rear of the pilothouse. "It will have a queen sized bed in it. It was to be used for as a spare guest stateroom or for the captain. It has it's own head with a shower."
Harry showed them the sky lounge and the built in plasma screen television, the DVD player and the stereo.
"How many people will this boat carry?" Don asked.
"She was designed to sleep ," Harry said. "She carries fifty personal flotation devices and has four twelve person life rafts. In a pinch, you could entertain about sixty, but it would be a bit crowed."
Moving aft, they went out of the sky lounge and up to the flying bridge and sundeck. Harry led them forward and showed them the bridge.
"Almost everything in the pilothouse is duplicated up here," Harry said. "There are clear curtains to enclose the flying bridge. The hardtop is eighteen feet wide and twenty feet long."
Tom finished a roll of film and changed it with a fresh roll. He took a few more pictures and then followed Harry back to the sundeck. The spacious area was lined with lounges. On both the starboard and portsides, were the automatic deploying life rafts, two on each side. Harry lifted the cushions on the lounges and showed the group the storage for the personal flotation devices.
Once they finished looking around, they went below and out to the cockpit. Harry showed the boys the eight rod holders and then the entrance to the lazaret. Harry told the group there was a large freezer and a commercial icemaker to be installed in there. He pointed out the three large hot water heaters and several other features.
"How much fuel does she carry?" Jack asked.
"The fuel tanks hold a total of ninety two hundred gallons. The water tank holds one thousand gallons. There is a five hundred gallon holding tank and a black water processing unit. The black water is the waste from everything except the toilets," Harry said.
The group spent another hour going over the yacht before heading to Harry's office. They sat in the office, looked at the blueprints and the colorful architectural drawings, showing the finished product. Harry showed them swatches of material and brochures of the appliances and other electronic devices.
Harry ordered lunch for everyone and continued to discuss the yacht.
"We took her out for sea trials before the original owner went bankrupt. She performed as designed. The top speed is twenty two knots and she cruises at about eighteen knots," Harry said.
"Eighteen knots, about twenty one miles an hour?" Jack said. "Not bad for a boat as big as that one."
Lunch arrived and the group ate their sandwiches. Harry told them about the hull construction and the super structure.
"We build yachts like that in a shed. When it's time to launch them, we cut off the superstructure to get it out of the building and reattach it once it's outside. After we launch it, the yacht goes into the finishing shed," Harry said. "We started on this one a little over a year and a half ago."
"How long would it take to finish it?" Jack asked.
"About six months or so, depends on whether we run into any troubles or not. If everything went right, we could deliver her sometime in May, but it would require longer shifts," Harry said.
"What if we wanted to make changes, would it take longer?" Tom asked.
"It depends on how much you wanted to change, it may not matter or it may add weeks," Harry said. "What did you have in mind?"
Marc chuckled and shook his head. "Good for you, Harry, going for the close. We will need time to think about this. How long would it take for you to have her ready for a sea trial?"
"I guess we can talk about money while we're here," Don said. "Just how much are we talking about?"
Jerry opened his attach and pulled out a file. Harry pulled a binder from a shelf and returned to the table. Jerry opened the file and looked over the paperwork.
"Well, it looks like Bowman was paid five million so far," Jerry said.
"Yes, that's correct. We received two and a half million as a down payment and another two and a half after the sea trail," Harry said.
"What was the contract price, Harry?" Jerry asked.
"Eight and a half, Jerry, as designed, if you want more or changes it will change," Harry said.
"How much do you owe the bank, Harry?" Jerry asked.
"I owe them about a one and a half million, they are waiting to see what happens before making any decisions on repayment."
"Do you have any other offers or interested parties?" Don asked.
"No, no one has even looked at the boat," Harry said.
Jerry and Harry went over a few other details. Jerry put his file away and Harry closed the binder. After talking for a bit longer, Don, Marc, Jack, Tom and Jerry got up to leave. They all shook hands and Harry thanked them for stopping by.
"Can we come back and look her over again?" Jack asked. "Tom and I want our sisters to see the yacht before we go much further."
Harry nodded and told them to come anytime. On the way to the van, Harry introduced the group to the yard foreman and told them the man could help them if he wasn't available.
After driving out of the parking lot and back on to the road, Don glanced into the mirror. Tom and Jack were talking about the boat and all of the features.
"Nice boat, wasn't it, boys," Marc said, looking back at the boys.
"Nice is an understatement, Dad," Tom said. "I can't believe it. The yacht was the nicest thing I've ever seen. It was so much better than the one we looked at when we went to the marina in Michigan."
"Do you two think you could handle a boat like that? It's pretty big," Don said.
"I think we could learn, Dad," Jack said. "I wonder if Kim and Sally will like it?"
"Are you and Uncle Don considering buying the boat, Dad?" Tom asked.
"Yes, we're considering it, but we haven't decided yet. Let's wait until your sister and Kim have a chance to see it and then we'll talk about it," Marc said.
On the way back to the mansion, Tom asked Don to stop at a one hour photo shop so he could have the film developed. Don agreed and stopped at a small shop near the home they were staying in. There was a bar down the street and they decided to get something to drink and wait for the pictures.
Don and the other men ordered a beer while Tom and Jack drank Cokes. They talked about the things they saw and how much they liked the boat. Tom began to make plans for trips as if they were going to own the yacht.
"Slow down, Tom," Marc said. "We haven't decided to buy it yet."
"I know, but wouldn't it be cool to be able to take it to Lake Michigan and spent a couple of weeks cruising the ports. It would be a blast!" Tom said.
"It would be fun to take it to Florida for the winter too," Jack said.
"Yes it would, but there is a lot of responsibility that comes with owning and operating a yacht. We have to consider everything. One thing we have to think about is how you kids would pay for it," Don said.
"We could have charters, Uncle Don. I'll bet you could charge a lot of money for a charter," Tom said. "I think we could figure out how to pay for it."
Tom checked his watch and said, "I'm going to check on the pictures. Want to come with me, Jack?"
"Sure, let's go."
Tom and Jack left the bar and headed for the photo shop.
"Well, what do you think of the yacht?" Jerry asked.
"It's a beautiful boat," Marc said. "It's also very large."
"Yes it is," Don said. "It's larger than I thought it would be. I'm not sure the boys can handle a boat like that."
Jerry replied, "I understand the size has little to do with it, after a yacht reaches a certain length. Jeri said she could handle a boat much larger than the one we looked at today. Look, I don't want to sound like I'm trying to talk you into something you don't want to do, but if you two are thinking about a yacht for the boys, you'll never find another one you can buy for fifty cents on the dollar."
"I didn't say we weren't thinking about it, Jerry. I think it would be a good buy. Marc and I just don't want to end up with a boat if the kids grow tired of it," Don said.
"When is Sam coming down, Jerry?" Marc asked.
"In a couple of days, he and his wife are coming down for New Year's. They will be here earlier if we need him," Jerry said.
Jack and Tom came back, sat down and pulled the photos out of the package. Tom looked at the first one and then passed it to Jack. The five of them passed the pictures around the table, talking about some of them. Once they finished looking at the pictures, they left the bar.
Lisa and Megan walked to the bow and sat next to one another on a towel. Kim and Sally looked at one another and then at Lisa and Megan.
"Is everything okay?" Kim asked.
"Yeah, everything is fine," Lisa said. "Megan and I were just kidding around."
"It sure looked like you guys were really into it," Sally said. "Hey, if it's what you want, it's cool."
"It isn't like we've never fooled around before," Kim said. "I still love to get together with Sally."
Kim moved over to Sally, bent over and kissed her on the breast. Sally giggled, Kim pulled away, so Sally grabbed Kim's head and pulled it to her chest. When Kim sat up, they both laughed. April and Jeri also began to laugh. Jeri put her hand on April's leg and gave it a firm squeeze.
"It isn't like that," Megan said. "We just got carried away, nothing more."
"Are you kids ready to get going?" Jeri asked, sensing the situation was getting tense. "Let's get dressed and head back or go fishing, if you want to."
"I think we should get back," Megan said.
The six girls went aft and into the cabin. They put their bikinis back on and then went out to the cockpit. Jeri and April went up to the flying bridge to start the boat while Kim, Sally, Megan and Lisa remained in the cockpit.
Sally turned to Lisa and said, "I'm sorry I teased you two."
"It's okay," Lisa said. "I'm not mad."
"Me either," Megan said.
"I wonder how Paul and Brad are doing," Sally said. "I hope they're having fun playing golf with their dad."
"They really like golf," Lisa said. "I'm sure they are having a good time, even if Dad is driving them nuts. Brad told me Dad is acting weird. He's making notes of almost every hole they play."
Kim giggled and said, "I wonder it Paul makes notes about playing with my hole."
Sally, Megan and Lisa began laughing.
"That's sick, Kim," Megan said. "Funny, but sick."
Lisa told the other girls she was going up to the flying bridge and Megan followed her up the ladder. Kim and Sally decided to join them and also went up. The girls relaxed and enjoyed the ride back to the house. Once Jeri docked the boat, the girls gathered their things and headed for the house.
Jeri and April remained at the boat and began to clean it, washing it down. Once they finished, they went to the houses, told the girls goodbye and went home. Kim and Sally went to Sally's room and changed after taking a shower. They went to the living room and began to play with the computers they received for Christmas.
Jack and Tom came running into the house and went over to where their sisters were sitting on the floor.
"Come with us," Jack said. "We have something to show you two."
Kim and Sally got up and followed their brothers to Kim's bedroom. Once they were inside, Jack closed the door and climbed on the bed. Tom pulled the thick package of pictures out of a bag and removed the photos.
"You won't believe the boat we saw today, the boat our dads are talking about buying for us." Tom shuffled through the photos until he found one of the exterior. "Look at this!"
"Oh my God!" Sally said. "It's huge. How big is it?"
"One hundred forty five feet. It's twenty five feet wide," Jack said. "Wait until you see the pictures of the inside."
Tom and Jack explained the pictures as they showed them to their sisters. The girls asked endless questions and listened intently as their brothers answered them. After going through the stack several times, Tom put the photos away.
"Are we going to get it?" Kim asked. "Are Dad and Uncle Marc going to buy it?"
"I don't know, Kim," Jack said. "We need to talk about it between the four of us. We have to convince them we will do what's necessary to take care of it. We also have to commit to making it a business and making some money doing it."
"Do you guys think we can?" Sally asked.
"I think so, but it has to be all of us. We all have to agree to work hard. If one of us doesn't want to do it, to commit to the yacht, our dads won't want to buy it," Tom said. "If you think about it, I don't blame them. I don't think our dads want to own a boat, especially one as big as this one."
"We don't know anything about chartering a boat," Kim said. "How will we learn?"
"It can't be too hard, Kim. We can research it on the Internet and read some books about it. I think we can do it. I'm sure interested in trying," Sally said.
"If we're going to charter, we have to act as a crew. We'll have to take care of the customers, not just drive the boat. It means cooking, cleaning and acting as servers for the guests. Besides all of that, we have to run it as a business, you know, keep records and stuff," Jack said.
Jack moved so he was near Kim and said, "I'm not trying to talk anyone out of it, I just think we should all know what we're getting into."
"When can Sally and I see the boat?" Kim asked.
"Tomorrow I think. The man at the boat yard, Mr. Shockley, said we could come by any time. I'll ask Dad and Uncle Don," Tom said.
The four teens talked about all the possibilities and dreamed about the trips they could take. After almost an hour, they went to find their fathers.
Don and Marc were sitting on the patio talking with Marge, Anne, Jerry and Liz. The four teens went to the table and asked it they could go to see the yacht the next day.
"Sure, you kids can go. Uncle Don and I are planning on playing golf, but there's no reason the four of you can't go," Marc said. "Do you boys remember how to get there?"
"I thinks so," Jack said. "If we have the address we'll be able to find it."
"I have a map," Jerry said. "I'll make sure you kids have it before you leave."
"Dad, can we tell the others about looking at the boat or do you want us to keep it quiet?" Jack asked.
Don shrugged his shoulders and said, "I don't see any harm in it. Do you, Marc?"
Marc shook his head. "No, not at all. Just don't make it sound like we already bought it."
Tom, Kim, Jack and Sally thanked their parents and went to the pool. Megan and Lisa were sitting next to one another talking, but when the other kids arrived, they stopped.
"Want to see the pictures of the boat we saw today?" Jack asked.
Megan nodded her head. "Sure."
Tom took out the photos and began showing them to Lisa and Megan. The two girls made comments about the boat and Lisa also made comments about Tom's pictures. After going through all the photos, Tom and Jack sat down next to Megan and Lisa. Kim and Sally went back toward the house to talk about the boat.
"Did you guys have a good time on the boat today?" Jack asked.
"Yes, it was great," Megan said. "We didn't fish, we just went for a ride and went swimming. There are a lot of really nice homes around here."
"I loved just riding on the boat," Lisa said. "Fishing is okay, but not my favorite thing to do."
The girls told Jack and Tom about their day and the things they saw. Paul and Brad came to the pool, asked where Kim and Sally were and left when Lisa told them.
"Hi, Kim," Paul said as he walked over to where Kim and Sally were sitting. "Have a good time on the boat today?"
"Yeah, it was fun. How was golf?" Kim said.
"Great, we played three different coursed today," Brad said. "Dad has a lot of great ideas for our course. Tomorrow, we're going to play three more."
"Don't you two ever get tired of playing golf?" Sally asked.
"No, never. We both love the game," Paul said. "There is no such thing as too much golf or sex."
Paul and Brad both laughed, but Kim and Sally just gave them dirty looks.
"Is that all you think about? Golf and sex?" Sally asked curtly.
"No, we think of other things too," Brad said. "Like eating. When will dinner be ready?"
"You two are sick," Kim said.
"No we're not," Paul said. "Brad and I are just horny teenagers. What's wrong with it?"
"Most of the time, nothing, but it's all you guys have been talking about except golf. Give it a rest," Kim said.
"We must have an hour before dinner," Brad said. "Sally, let's go to our room so you can take care of me."
Sally began to get up, but Kim glanced at her and made a face. When Sally sat back down, Brad shook his head.
"So, you'd rather listen to her than me? I thought you wanted me to tell you what I want. I want to go to our room and get it on Sally, are you coming or not?" Brad said as he clutched his fists.
"Not right now, Brad. We can do it later, when we go to bed. Sally looked up at him. "It has nothing to do with Kim, I just don't feel like it right now."
"Whatever! I'll talk to you about this later," Brad said and then he turned around and walked away.
"My brother can be a jerk, Sally. He'll get over it," Paul said.
Sally nodded and glanced in the direction Brad left in. She closed her computer, picked it up and walked toward the bedrooms.
"I think Sally is going to end up getting hurt," Kim said. "She's never been this way before. I hope it's just a phase she's going through. When Sally told me she wanted your brother to control her, I thought she was kidding."
"I think Brad has some issues he can't deal with, Kim. I think he's having identity problems," Paul said.
"What do you mean?"
"I think Brad is gay and can't admit it. He has been acting very strange since we left the camp and Craig. I know he has tried to call Craig a couple of times."
Kim looked into Paul's eyes and said, "Maybe that explains what he did to her last night."
"What did he do? He didn't hurt her did he?"
"No, but after they had sex, he wanted her to suck him."
"So, we do it, Kim. You've done it to me before."
"Not after your dick was in my butt, Paul. Brad wanted her to do it after anal sex."
Paul made a face and shook his head. "That's enough to make me sick!"
Paul became very quiet and began to stare at his hands as he fiddled with his fingers. Kim asked him want was bothering him and he shook his head. Putting her hand on his cheek, Kim said, "Something is on your mind, Paul."
"Can we go for a walk, Kim?"
Kim nodded and got up from the floor. She shutdown her computer, closed it and put it in the case. Paul and Kim went out the backdoor and headed down to where the boat was moored. They sat on the edge of the seawall and looked out over the water.
"Kim, are you happy?"
"Yes, why do you ask?"
"I don't know, I just sense there's something wrong. Something between you and me. Ever since we got here, you've been acting a little strange."
"I don't know what you mean, Paul. What do you mean by strange? I think we've been having a good time and we make love every night."
"We make love, but it's like you're doing it with someone else, Kim. I'm not saying I don't like it, I do, but it seems different." Paul took Kim's hand and held it in his. He rubbed the back of her hand with his thumb and stared into her eyes. "Kim, I love you, I really do. You are the most wonderful girl I've ever met. I love to sleep with you and to make love with you. I think you're fun and very sexy."
"Thank you Paul. I love you too and enjoy being with you. You're cute and funny and you make me feel really good."
"Kim, do you think you and I can be good friends, but maybe not be so exclusive?"
"What are you saying, Paul? Do you want to be able to date other girls?"
"I don't know, I guess so. Kim, we've been staying together like we're married and I'm starting to feel a little funny about it. We're way too young to be married."
"Paul, we're not married. You and I are just boyfriend and girlfriend, we're going steady, and that's all."
"Don't you think it's a little weird, you know, sleeping together every night? Don't get me wrong, Kim, I like sleeping with you, I always have, but every night? I'd like to go back to the way it was when we were at home. You sleeping at your house and me sleeping at mine."
Kim swallowed hard and nodded. She felt the same way, but hearing Paul telling her made her feel a little rejected.
"Do you want to sleep in separate rooms for the rest of our vacation, Paul? If you do, I understand. Do you want to stop fooling around too?"
"No, no, I don't want to stop fooling around. I love making love, and having sex with you. As far as where we sleep, well, would it make you mad if we didn't sleep together every night?"
Kim turned to Paul, took his face between her hands and put her lips to his. They kissed softly and then passionately. Kim's tongue found Paul's and they danced in one another's mouths. With their mouths locked, the fell back onto the soft grass. Kim rolled on top of Paul, lifted her head and smiled.
"It's okay with me if you want to have some time alone. I think you're right we are getting too serious. I love you too, Paul and I want to always be your friend." Kim kissed his nose and giggled. "I want to fool around with you too."
Paul pulled her back to his mouth and they began kissing again. They rolled in the grass and giggled between kisses. Kim felt relieved and happy. She felt closer to Paul than she did before knowing the pressure was off. When they rolled so Kim was on her back and Paul was above her, he pinned her arms above her head.
Kim's short top was up and her braless breasts were exposed to Paul's gaze. While holding her arms, Paul leaned forward and kissed her breasts, one at a time. Kim squirmed and tried to buck Paul off her, but he was too heavy for her.
Paul's butt pressed against her hips and caused Kim's skirt to hike up her legs. She could feel the grass against the backs of her thighs. Paul kept kissing from one breast to the other and then he began to nibble on one of her nipples. Kim felt like there was a connection between her nipple and her vagina and she stopped struggling.
A soft moan escaped Kim's throat as Paul sucked her nipple. She felt his hands release her arms and she put her arms around his neck. Kim pulled Paul to her bust and arched her back. Neither of them was giggling anymore. Kim felt her vagina tingle and Paul's penis throbbed in his shorts. Moving her hand down his back, Kim rubbed Paul and then reached between their bodies.
Finding the tab of his fly, Kim tugged at his zipper. She couldn't get it to move so Kim put her hands on his shoulders and pushed him up away from her chest.
"Lay on your back, Paul."
Paul rolled onto his back and Kim knelt next to him. Using both hands, she lowered his zipper and then unfastened his shorts. She fished his erection out into the open, leaned over and took it between her lips. Kim bobbed her head on his member a few times, completely wetting it.
Kim released his penis from her mouth, removed her panties and straddled his hips. Using her hand to guide him, she placed the head of his member at her opening and slowly impaled herself on him. Kim wiggled a couple times and then began to ride him. She put her hands on his chest and humped him.
They didn't speak; they just looked into one another's eyes and continued to move their bodies into each other, picking up the pace as their climaxes began to build. When Paul swelled in her vagina, Kim began to cum. She threw her head back and let out a throaty groan as her vagina convulsed around Paul's penis. He closed his eyes, pushed up into her and felt the explosion as his semen filled her.
Once they were sated, they rolled onto their sides and came apart. Kim reached out, stroked his cheek and smiled.
"That better than it's been in a long time, Paul."
Paul nodded and grinned.
Kim kissed him on the nose and smiled back. "I think things are going to be great between you and me, Paul. I know it will be different, but not in a bad way. I think you and I will be better friends and lovers."
"Me too, Kim. Thank you for understanding."
Kim nodded, grabbed her panties and pulled them up her legs. She stood up, finished putting her underwear on and straightened her skirt. Paul stood up and they hugged one another before walking back to the house, hand in hand. In the course of a couple of hours, Kim and Paul had come to an unstated understanding. They both realized they were too young for a commitment and too horny to stay apart.
As they walked along the edge of the pool, they began to giggle and then laugh. They stopped, hugged and began to kiss one another.
"You know what, Paul? I think I'm more in love with you now than I ever was."
"Me too, sexy."
"Paul, we don't need to tell anyone about the things we've decided, it's really none of their business. If they want to know why we aren't sharing a room every night, we'll just tell them it's because we are doing what WE want to do, okay?"
Paul chuckled. "Okay, keep them guessing, right?"
"Right sweetie." Kim kissed him and grinned. "You ARE going to stop by my room before going to sleep, aren't you?"
"Yes, I sure am."
The two of them giggled and then continued to the house.
The group gathered in the dinning room and ate dinner. Tom and Jack talked about the boat and told everyone they were going to see it again the next day. The two boys explained as much as they could about the yacht and agreed to show the pictures after dinner.
Kim and Paul sat next to one another and kept glancing at each other and then giggling. Under the table, their knees were pressed together and they moved their leg to rub against the others.
Next to Kim, Sally sat quietly. Brad was next to her and talking to his dad about golfing the next morning. Lisa and Megan listened to Jack and Tom, but seemed to be preoccupied.
Once dinner was finished, the teens got up to leave. When Marge glanced at her children and then at the table, Kim and Jack began picking up dirty dishes. Rosa tried to tell them to leave the dishes, but the other teens all pitched in and soon the table was cleared. All eight of the kids went out to the pool and relaxed in the lounges.
Rosa finished clearing the table, picking up the few items the teens left behind. When she went into the kitchen to do the dishes and clean up, Marge turned to Anne.
"Did you notice anything strange tonight, Anne?" Marge asked.
Anne shrugged her shoulders.
"I did," Liz said. "It looks like the kids have been together too long. I sensed some tension tonight."
Dianne nodded and said, "Brad seems to be acting like he was before we came down. That boy can be so moody at times, it just drives me nuts."
"The kids will be fine," Don said. "They're just figuring things out. Let's face it; they're all still young. I'm surprised they haven't been fighting. It must be hard for them to live like they are married."
"I think Don's right," Jerry said. "The kids have been together day and night for almost two weeks. Everything will work out for them, I sure wouldn't worry about it, they know enough to come to us and talk if there is a real problem."
Bob got up and said, "Would anyone care for an after dinner drink?"
The adults retired to the living room and Bob poured drinks for all who wanted one. They sat in two groups, the women in one and the men in the other and began talking.
Bob told Don. Marc and Jerry about the golf courses he and his sons played during the day and some of the ideas he was considering for the course in Michigan. Once Bob finished, Don and Marc began talking about the boat.
"Are you going to buy the yacht?" Bob asked.
Marc chuckled and replied, "If Kim and Sally are half as excited as Jack and Tom, I think they'll disown us if we don't."
"The boys sure seemed interested," Jerry said. "I have to tell you, I had no idea the yacht was anything like what we saw. I guess it's just hard to imagine until you actually see it. I've been in homes that weren't as nice as the yacht was,"
"Or as large," Don said. "You could put the houses Marc and I used to own in it and have room to spare."
"How many will it sleep?" Bob asked.
"I think Harry said twenty," Marc answered. "It will carry about fifty people."
"I think the yacht will be good for luxury day cruises," Jerry said. "I know of several law firms that would be interested in booking a day or evening event. The kids can find a caterer to provide the food and drinks so they wouldn't have to deal with it."
"How much do you think they could charge for something like that, Jerry?" Marc asked.
"If you throw a party at a country club, it costs anywhere from forty to seventy five dollars a person, depending on the menu. If you add the yacht, I'd think you could more than double the cost." Jerry chuckled. "I know a lot of people who would pay the price just so they could brag they did it."
"How about small wedding parties? Do you think the kids could book anything like that?" Bob asked.
"Sure, in fact, it's a great idea," Jerry said. "When I was doing the research on the project, I found several smaller yachts that charter for over sixty thousand dollars a week. The boat Don and Marc are looking at should be able to demand more."
"If the kids can book five charters a year, it would be three hundred grand a year," Bob said. "That's a lot of money!"
"Not really, not when you consider how much it will take just to own the boat. The payments on it will be about thirty thousand a month. When you add the operating expenses, it puts the cost of ownership at about a half a million a year and that doesn't include fuel and other costs," Jerry said.
Bob nodded and said, "So, they will have to book about a dozen charters a year or so to make a profit."
"Yes, but we don't really want to make a profit, not just yet," Jerry said. "Maybe in a couple of years or so, but not right now."
"It still baffles me how it's going to save us money," Don said.
"It's not actually going to save you money, it's going to reduce your taxes, Don. Between interest, deprecation and operating expenses, the tax savings are going to finance a good portion of the boat," Jerry explained.
"How are the kids going to learn about this?" Marc asked.
"Sam and I have a business plan worked out. If you decide to purchase the yacht, we will sit down and explain everything." Jerry chuckled. "Maybe we should go over it before you decide. Once they realize how much is involved, they may not want to do it. Owning the yacht is going to be more than boat rides and parties."
"I can attest to that," Bob said. "I had to deal with all of those things with the pro shop. I can only imagine how involved it's going to be with the golf course."
"I have a business plan for you too, Bob," Jerry said. "We'll get into it when we get back home."
"Jerry, do you have the business plan for the yacht with you?" Don asked. "Maybe we should have the kids take a look at it."
"Why don't you wait until Kim and Sally see the yacht? If they are still interested, we'll sit them down and talk to them. Sam will be here and he really knows the numbers better than I do," Jerry said.
Marc and Don agreed with Jerry's suggestion. They finished their drinks and Don poured another for each of them. Don went over to where the women were sitting and offered them another drink.
"What are the kids up to?" Dianne asked.
Don looked outside and then replied, "Swimming."
"Why am I not surprised? I think those kids are going to grow gills," Dianne said and then she chuckled.
Don nodded and walked to the doors leading to the patio. He stood watching the teens splashing and frolicking in the pool. Behind him, Don heard the women chatting and laughing. He glanced at Marc, Jerry and Bob, noticing they were involved in a conversation.
Returning his attention to he pool, he grinned as he watched his young daughter run along the edge of the pool and jump in. After her cannon ball dive, Kim climbed out and stood facing the other teens. Don admired Kim's profile as she waved her right arm at her brother. He knew she was yelling something at Jack, but couldn't hear want she was saying.
Don began to reflect on the past months and all the changes his family had gone through in such a short period of time. The money won in the lottery, as well as very successful investments, had catapulted them into a lifestyle Don could have never imagined. Like before they won, Don's first concern was his children. He thought about their future and how they would never have to endure the things he and his wife did as teens.
Kim jumped back into the pool, almost landing on Paul. Paul grabbed Kim and tossed her up in the air and she landed on her back. Don chuckled as he watched the play, remembering the fun he had as a teen swimming in the gravel pit with Marge, Anne and Marc. Times were different now, but the fun was still the same.
Marge got up, went to Don and stood next to him. She put her arm around his waist and pulled him to her side.
"What are you thinking about, honey?" Marge asked.
"Just watching the kids and remembering when we were their age. Thinking about the gravel pit."
"Those were the days, weren't they?" Marge tightened her grip on her husband's waist.
"We made do. The four of us had a lot of fun back then. I hope our kids are having fun too."
"The kids are doing fine, Don. They have had a lot of change to deal with, but I feel they're handling it. I think Kim and Sally are having second thoughts about being so tied down with Paul and Brad, but at their age, it's normal."
"We didn't seem to have any of those problems when we were their age."
"It was different for us, honey times were different. We didn't have parents willing to guide us. Anne and I have talked about this and we both agree our kids are much better adjusted than we were."
Don and Marge watched as the girls climbed on the boys' shoulders and began jousting. The girls tried to pull one another off the boys' as they moved around in the pool. When Kim grabbed Megan and dislodged her from Jack's shoulders, Marge and Don laughed.
"I don't think Kim wants Megan on her brother," Marge said. "She has been trying to knock her off Jack since the game began."
Don nodded and continued to watch the play. Sally and Brad were the last team standing and won the match.
Marge and Don separated and returned to the other adults. The group moved together and began talking about their plans for the next day. The men along with Paul and Brad were playing golf. Marge, Anne, Liz and Dianne decided to stay at the house and relax. The group heard the teens coming into the house and looked up.
All of the teens were coming thought the doors, carrying their clothes. They said hello as they walked past their parents on the way to their bedrooms. Once the girls dried their hair and put on their nightshirts, they met the boys in the recreation room to watch television.
Megan and Lisa sat in the middle of one of the couches, with Tom and Jack at their sides. Kim and Paul stretched out on the floor while Brad and Sally sat in separate chairs.
"Do you and Lisa want to go with us to see the boat tomorrow?" Jack said to Megan.
Lisa and Megan looked at one another and then Lisa said, "I don't think so, April and Jeri are going to take us out tomorrow. They want to go shopping and we agreed to go with them."
No one noticed Kim and Sally as they exchanged a glance and big grins. Kim winked at her cousin and Sally nodded back at her.
"That's cool," Jack said. "If you change your minds, you guys are welcome to come along."
"Thanks, but Lisa and I sort of promised April and Jeri we'd go with them. Maybe we'll go with you guys next time," Megan said.
Jack nodded and put his arm over Megan's shoulders. She took his hand in hers and held it, but she didn't move any closer to him. At the group watched a movie, Lisa and Megan traded glances and smiles.
When the movie ended, the teens decided to call it a night. They left the recreation room and headed down the hall to their rooms.
