man. There was nothing special about him, nothing that 
stood out, that commanded your attention when he was

like society to be, if he could choose it. He spent 
many, many years thinking about it and then one day 
fate stepped in and gave Stan Marks the opportunity to 
design his own society.

Stan Marks won lotto, not just any lotto, no! It was 
the biggest lotto in the history of lotto. Stan Marks 
won the $4billion lotto – and he was the sole winner.

After Stan recovered from his 3 day daze, Stan began to 
put his plan into action. He decided he wanted to build 
his utopia and to do that Stan needed to buy an island. 
He did a bit of research on the net and found an island 
that was perfect. Nice tropical area, but not stinking 
hot. Isolated, yet within a 5 hour boat ride of the 
mainland. This island was also uninhabited, pristine in 
its beauty. Stan got to work right away in planning how 
his utopia would be built – from the ground up. 

First of all, Stand decided it would be environmentally 
friendly. All the buildings would be solar powered. 
Recycling would be law. There would be a community 
garden set aside which would supply all the vegetable 
and fruit needs of those on the island – all organic of 
course. He arranged for a school to be built, a 
hospital and a fire station. It took 18 months for Stan 
to have the island ready for living on. In that time 
Stan had also been deciding what his society would be 
like.

Stan didn't want just any society, Stan wanted the one 
that fulfilled his lifetime of daydreaming. He wanted 
one that acknowledged men as the leaders and 
controllers and women as subservient. Women had a right 
to be protected and treated well, but Stan thought they 
should be treated this way as a reward for treating 
their men with the utmost respect. Stan had spent years 
developing his ideas and he was about to set it all 
down in his constitution.

Women were the express property of men. The man was not 
allowed to beat his wife or cause her any undue harm, 
but he could administer punishment if he saw fit. Women 
were to be forbidden to wear anything while in their 
house, and wearing clothes outside was optional – 
decided by the man. All women had to grow their hair 
long enough to wear a special comb. A red comb meant

Stan knew that getting people to begin this way of life

that if his utopia was to continue, the children had to
