Author's notes
Background
There is a small genre of stories in which the whole
world goes sex-mad. Sometimes things go back to normal
after a while, but often the change is supposed to be
permanent. These tales never venture more than a few
days after the conversion, however, so I thought it
would be fun to examine what such a world would be like
many years later. The result is this story, which I
think can serve as a sequel to just about any of the
those that inspired it, since it is a given for any
such story that civilization would collapse while the
sex-mad humans gradually turned into sex-mad animals.
Dirt
I repeatedly mention the extreme filthiness of the
people in this story not out of any obsession with
literally dirty sex, but because I found that my own
imagination would tend to clean up the cast if I did
not repeatedly remind myself that everybody is fucking
outdoors and spreading huge amounts of sticky fluids
around without the benefit of running water.
Language
In Part Three I introduced only one word of the post-
human language. To give some further idea of how it
works, let's look at some more words. "Pish" is the
word for any female, regardless of age, who is

spending no more than a minute or so on each, is a
