   "Amy..." said Sailor Jupiter.
   "Yes?"
"Do you ever get the feeling these tunnels... change. That we may be
wandering in circles and never know it?"
Amy sighed and sat down on a boulder-like projection. She closed her
eyes. "I'm afraid it might be so. I've tried to keep a make a map in my
head, but it never seems to fit together..."
There was a muffled grumbling sound. Amy looked up. Jupiter, embarrassed
put her hand on her stomach.
"Sorry, didn't have a chance to eat lunch today..." She paused. "Hey,
you've been here for several days Amy, what have you been eating?"
Strangely, Amy blushed. "Ah... There are some sources of food around,
in some places in these caves."
"I sure hope we find some soon." Her stomach rumbled again. "Today has
been quite a work out and I could use a snack."
Amy looked up, worried. "Be careful about wanting to eat too much... you
might not..."
Another rumble -- this time from the walls around the them. Quakes had
been common, but this was something much nearer.
   "Too late," said Amy.
The stone wall next to the girls was bulging, stretching, until a torso,
the body of a woman, voluptuous and smiling, was projecting out from it, her
skin and long flowing hair the same dark, marble-like color as the cave.
Sailor Jupiter snapped to a fighting stance.
"It's all right," said Amy, calmly. "She won't hurt us... We've something
of an understanding."
The smiling stone figure turned toward Lita. She raised her slightly
larger than life hands and placed them beneath her generous, round breasts,
as if... presenting them...
"Wha... Wha... What..?" was all Lita could say.
Amy sighed. "This... This is how we are fed here." She stepped to the
figure.
   "You don't mean..."
Amy smiled, and gently taking a breast in her hand, put her mouth on the
protruding nipple, and began to suck.
Jupiter stared, her jaw hanging open.
The stone figure again turned towards her. Jupiter backed away -- fast.
A frown crossed the figure's face.
Amy took a breath and said. "She doesn't like being rejected. I think you
better... accept. It's not bad, really."
Taking very short steps, Sailor Jupiter walked over. The figure smiled
again and offered her other breast. Lita, a little uncertain -- it had been
rather a long time since she had last done this -- took the nipple into her
mouth and joined Amy.
The stone figure wrapped her arms around the two girls as they suckled
and rocked them back and forth.
A minute or so later, Lita paused, swallowing. "I... I thought this would
be milk, but it's not... I'm not sure what it tastes like."
"I suspect," Amy said, wiping her mouth. "That it's very nutritious though.
And filling."
She stepped back, and the stone figure seemed content to let them go.
Lita shook her head, at a loss for words.
The girls continued down the cave, but had only taken a few steps when
another vibration nearly knocked them over. The walls, and the floor, ahead
were again flowing, as if suddenly liquid. Four more, perfectly identical
female forms rose up.
"Not them too..." Sailor Jupiter said, growing pale.
"No... This is something different," said Amy.
The expression on the figures' faces were in fact... confused, almost
worried. Amy stepped towards them.
   "What is it? What's wrong?"
The stone figures raised their arms, and spread their figures, as if
holding some large round object. Between the eight palms there was a dancing
of light... and an image begin to form.
   "The Scouts!" cried Jupiter
The two girls stared as a miniature scene unfolded before their startled
eyes:
Sailor Moon, Sailor Venus, and Sailor Mars were in intense combat with
a hoard of the black one-eyed creatures. The Scouts sliced, blasted, and burned
through them, but more creatures kept coming.
The inevitable occurred as a creature tackled Mars from behind.
Immediately a half-dozen more swarmed over her, clutching and immobilizing
her, despite her furious struggles.
Amy grasped Lita's arm in concern as they saw the same sequence take down
Venus, and then Sailor Moon.
Another figure entered the field of the scene. A floating young man
entirely of black.
   "Oh, no..." said Amy.
   Jupiter just snarled.
The Dark Mage gestured and the creatures pinning the Scouts began to
liquefy... Their bodies melted and then sprang outwards into thick tangles
of tendrils that held each girl suspended and helpless.
The image flickered and vanished. Each stone face turned with
identical motions to look at Amy and Lita. They seemed perplexed and a
little agitated.
"Those are our friends!" said Amy.
"We have to help them," added Jupiter. "Where are they? What's happening
to them!"
"How..." Amy paused. "Can... Can you take us to them? Show us where they
are?"
The stone women drew back, still confused.
"Please!" cried Amy. "We have to help our friends!"
Very slowly, the figures lost definition and sank back into the stone.
"Come back..." said Amy, tears in her eyes.
"Wait..." said Jupiter. "Do you feel that?"
There was indeed another vibration. It grew more and more intense and the
girls had to hold each to stay on their feet.
Then the cave wall to their left sagged -- and split open, revealing a
new side passage that as ran far as they could make out in the dim light.
"Thank you!" said Amy, looking about. "Thank you!"
   "Come on!" said Sailor Jupiter.
They took off running down the fresh tunnel.
"Amy?" Lit asked as they hurried along. "There's going to be a fight.
Will you be okay?
"I... I think so... I'm feeling stronger all the time. More and more like
Sailor Mercury again."
"Good. Because we are going to need her."

                           *    *    *

The more the girls struggled, the more the sticky fibers held them in
place.
"What's next on your sick little mind," yelled Sailor Mars, to the Dark
Mage floating above them.
He sighed. "Really, girls... I swear, I have nothing personal against
you. As soon as I'm finished with my work, all of you will be quite free to
go."
"Why have you been doing all this?" said Sailor Moon. "What do you want
with... with all those things?"
The Mage glanced over at the circle of pillars and the glowing items
on top of each.
"You like flowers, don't you?" he said. "Girls usually do."
The Scouts blinked, sweat drops on each forehead.
"You know what flowers are right?" The Mage continues. "They are part of
the reproductive organs of plants. Plants used them to attract insects so
that they'll carry pollen from one to another. In short, plants use bees
and such to help them have sex."
He rose higher into the air.
"It shouldn't be too surprising to find a similar behavior elsewhere...
in other life forms... from other worlds..."
He folded his arms and smiled.
"I was just riding my bike through a old trail in the woods when I found
PrimeMale. He must have fallen from space during the day when nobody would
have seen him. He explained it to me: his kind need the help of another
being to complete his reproductive cycle. His PrimeFemale needed to be...
stimulated... by a sufficient charge of the appropriate astral energy. If I
would help him, he'd reward me... with power. It wasn't a hard decision
to make, I admit."
   "Then the artifacts..." said Venus.
"Relics charged with orgasmic energy from millennia of use and worship.
Exactly the thing we needed."
"If this PrimeMale thing is so powerful *why* does it need your help?"
"I'm sure our... habits are as strange to them. Actually, I believe the
idea is that they enhance their own nature and consciousness by mingling
their life cycle with that of all the aliens races they encounter...
"And on a more practical level... There are certain difficulties in terms
of scale..."
The Dark Mage placed his palm on his chest. A gleam of light shone from
between his fingers and as he lifted his hand, a glowing pulsing sphere,
about the size of a softball, rose from his body.
   "That's PrimeMale?" said Mars.
"Mm." The Mage shook his head. "Just the environmental sphere he generates.
His actual body is microscopic in size... Or subatomic even, for all I
really know."
   "And PrimeFemale?" asked Serena.
He chuckled. "That's a rather inconsiderate question, Sailor Moon.
Considering you've been tramping around inside her for some while now."
"Oh my goodness..." Sailor said, her eyes wide and flickering around the
cavern.
A tremor shook through the stone, making the Scouts sway in their
bindings.
"Ah," said the Dark Mage. "As you can see I have worked to do." He placed
the glowing sphere back in his chest. "If you'll excuse me..."
   Another quake. Stronger.
"Wait a minute..." the Mage said. "That... doesn't feel right..."
With a deep groan, a gaping fissure opened in the cavern wall above where
the Mage hovered -- and out of it dove Sailor Jupiter, her legs cocked in
a flying kick that smashed into the Mage's shoulder.
"AHHH!" he cried, tumbling to the ground. Jupiter landed with
considerable more grace.
"Sailor Jupiter!" cried the other scouts.
"And Sailor Mercury as well!" said Amy, leaping down from the fissure.
"Apologies from not being in uniform!" she added, adjusting her pink bikini.
The Dark Mage rubbed his shoulder. "How did you --"

   "MERCURY BUBBLES BLAST!"

Before he could finish, the Mage was engulfed in a dense cloud of icy
mist that spun around him like miniature tornado.
Jupiter ran over to where Sailor Moon was held.
"Jupiter I'm so glad to see you!" she said. "Um... did you know...ah..."
She nodded toward Lita's chest, where her torn sailor uniform was
covering very little.
"No time to worry about that," she said, making a half-hearted effort to
tuck her breasts back in her top. "Let's get you --"
"Watch out!" Sailor Moon said. "Or you'll get caught too."
Jupiter back away. "What can I do then?"
"My tiara! Can you put it in my hand?"
She leaned forward -- Serena blushing and looking away as Jupiter plopped
out of her uniform once more -- and carefuly lifted the tiara from Sailor Moon's
and put it into her grasp.

   "MOON TIARA MAGIC!!"

The head band blazed into a disk of shining light. Sailor Moon was able
to wobble her wrist around enough enough to cut the fibers that held her
arm. After that, it was a simple matter to cut herself free. The discus
sliced through with ease, and the fibers began to dissolve as soon as they
were severed.

   WHOMMPPP!!!

A wave of hot air thundered across the cavern. The Dark Mage had burst
out of Amy's fog storm. Mercury herself collapsed in exhaustion.
"Time for some serious Moon Dusting!" said Sailor Moon, flinging her
tiara at the Mage.
He rose back up into the air, easily avoiding it.
"You are certainly not the most impressive of Sailor Scouts, Sailor Moon."
Serena raised her arm. "Sorry. I do hate disappointing people."
She made a sweeping gesture and the tiara, rather than returning to her
hand, made a wide arc, getting faster and faster, and in a half-dozen
flashing passes, cut Sailor Mars and Sailor Venus free from their bindings.
Sailor Moon caught the tiara, spun it around her finger, and placed
it back on her head. "Underestimating the Sailor Scouts is going to be your
last mistake, Mr. Too-Good-To-Have-More-Than-One-Color-In-His-Wardrobe."
"Yes," he said. "So it --"

   "MARS FIRE IGNITE!!"
   "VENUS CRESCENT BEAM SMASH!!"

Side-by-side, the two scouts, still draped with dissolving fibers,
released twin blasts of energy -- flames spiraling around golden shaft
until they merged into one intense attack.
The Mage threw up his hands to block the strike, which splashed and sprayed
out from his upheld palms. He managed to resist, but the intense strain
of the forces channeled against him was pushing him back through the air.
Scouts and sorcerer struggled power against power for several long
moments -- until Mars and Venus faltered and collapsed to their knees.
The Dark Mage drifted to the ground, panting with fatigue himself.
"You... huh,huh... girls are starting... huh, huh... to make me mad."
   "Then you'll love this."
   "Huh?"
The Mage looked up and saw the blasts from Venus and Mars had pushed him
across the room so that he had come to ground right next to a waiting Sailor
Jupiter.
   "OOOOF!!"
Jupiter's fist slammed hard into his stomach, doubling the Mage over. She
followed up with another punch to the side of his head. Before he could
topple over, Jupiter grabbed his shoulders.
"I'm real sorry about the cliche, guy," she said. "But you deserve this."
With all her strength, Jupiter rammed her knee up into the Mage's groin.

                               *    *    *

When Ed regained consciousness he looked up to see all 5 of the Scouts
standing over him. He was still in no small amount of pain, but managed to
sit up.
   "Had enough, creep?" asked Mars.
"That's... a... safe... bet," he managed to spit out. Then he felt
something else, something far more disturbing than the pounding ache and
nausea left from Jupiter's knee.
He closed his eyes and felt the vibration come. The cavern rattled and
shook. Only this time... the quake did not fade.
"Congratulations, girls..." he said. "Not only have you managed to kick my
butt, but your little frolics have been sufficient to push PrimeFemale over
the edge. She's sufficiently stimulated for the mating process to begin."
"What does that mean?" asked Sailor Mercury.
"Well, you see, Amy... The plan was that at the last stage, I would
fulfill my last task -- and act as the physical intermediary for PrimeMale
and PrimeFemale to exchange and intermix their essences..."
He sighed. "But now..." he glanced over a Jupiter. "Thanks in particular
to Ms.Kong over there-- "
   "Hey!"
"I'm in no condition to function in my assigned capacity. PrimeFemale is
going to be upset."
"How...upset..." said Mars, with growing apprehension.
"Oh... How about a couple weeks of mindless destructive rampage, followed
by thermonuclear self-annihilation. That cranky enough?"
   "How do we stop it?"
"We can't." He took a long breath and let it out slowly. Ouch. "One of
you is going to have to take my place."
   "WHAT?" said the Scouts together.
The Mage looked from one to another. "It will have to be her."
   He pointed at Sailor Moon.
   "Wha...wha...wha...wha..!?"
The Mage lowered his eyes and shook his head. "All of you are powerful,
but I can feel that only her aura is strong enough to contain energy on this
scale."
"Wha..wha.." Sailor Moon was still saying. "Hey! Wait... You said... You
were helping...Prime.. *Male*.... And.. I mean, I'm a girl -- how can I
stand in for you..?"
The Mage rubbed his temples in frustration. "Airhead! This whole
male/female division is something they have adopted to make it easier for me
to relate to them and them to understand us. The specific... details of
human anatomy don't matter to them in the least!"
A ear-splitting roar filled the cavern and the cracked wall by the
artifacts began to give way in smoking chunks. An inferno, all of scarlet
flames, flashed and billowed from within.
"You have to do it, Sailor Moon," said the Mage.
She looked into the hellish glare.
"Sailor Moon..." said Raye, putting her hand on her shoulder.
"He's right Mars..." said Serena softly. "I can feel it... I have to do
it."
The Dark Mage shuddered, and the glowing sphere of PrimeMale once again
rose from his chest. It drifted over to Sailor Moon, who reached out, and
grasped it.
   "Sailor Moon!" cried the Scouts.
Serena rose into the air. Her skin began to grow luminous, brighter and
brighter, shining out from underneath her uniform. She slowly drifted towards
the pure red flames leaping from the cavern...
"Sailor Moon!" said Raye one last time, stepping forward.
Jupiter held her back with one firm hand -- and wiped a tear from her eye
with the other.
                           *    *    *
   So... big...
From her faint recollections of astronomy lessons, Serena knew that the
planets and the sun, the solar system, was a big place, and it was just a
tiny part of the galaxy, and even the galaxy was a speck in the larger
universe.
   But now she understood.
The vastness of the cosmos was all about her... Yet at the same time,
near at hand... as if.. It was because she felt her place in it, the
endless cycle of creation and death and rebirth that bound all matter and
energy together...
What for her was a revelation, was the ordinary world-sense of these
strange beings -- thousands, millions? of year old...
"Oh!" Serena exclaimed, in whatever sense she had a voice or being in
those dimensionless void. The being she had taken within her pulsed and
surged with power. It was silly to think of it as "male" in exclusion
of anything else... It...they... *she* was light, life, and desire --
seeking only the joy sharing all it was with another...
And there was another... holding her, infolding her in love and
reunion... an embrace of such passion, that it seemed to have no end, but
only grew and grew until Serena and it were a spiraling dance -- tumbling,
soaring, through the living void of the stars.
"Ohh...Mmm... oh..." The part of her that was still very much Serena
was clasped and caressed by all the sensation soaring around and through
her. So much... so much... rarely had she felt so much what it meant to
be.. a woman, a living thing charged with all the desires and energies of
life...
And she felt... Something else... Many things. They flashed by, there and
gone in an instant. Others. Other feelings. Other lives...
She knew the passion of the Hive Queen, both mistress and slave to her
endless armies of daughters.
She knew the explosive birth pangs of a sentient ocean creature who
mothered a hundred-thousand children, knowing that at most a dozen might
survive to maturity.
She knew the crackling joy of a crystalline being that died while
fragmenting into identical clone slivers of itself.
She knew the diffuse passion of gaseous beings, no more than clouds, that
drifted together as storm fronts, raining the seeds of new life on
each other.
Life. Other life. Other beings that these entities had passed through and
momentarily joined with, gaining, changing with each encounter.
She knew the tense exchange of softness and strength, the driving rhythm
of bodies, hot, wet, touching, moving together, the wonderful lust of...
   Herself.
In a dreamlike detached perspective she felt her own sensations as
she embraced and kissed and joined with... her own love, a dark haired man
whose face she hardly needed to see...
From her own dreams and memories, the entities had pulled this image,
this tangle of feelings and senses... They had done so without her
permission... But she did not feel violated. Serena was pleased that her
love would join with that of so many other strange and wonder beings -- who
different as they were, all shared the inescapable glory of living.
The universe was without limit to her and her companion, so much *more*
and...
The gentlest of separations. They... *she* was no more part of the
joining... Though she soared along with them for a time, the two entities
were now themselves, fully, without needing her to join them. Their farewell
was wordless, a touch of sadness, but full of joy at the future.
They pulled ahead, leaving Serena to slow, drifted back to her own life,
her own body. All she had witness and felt still vibrated within her. Her
body contained it only for an instant -- and then it was released in a climax
made Serena feel that she too was of no flesh, but a thing of liquid fire
and rapturous electricity.

                        *    *    *

"That was the most amazing thing I've seen in my life," said Sailor
Jupiter, staring at the last traces of shimmering rainbow and dancing sparks
that still formed an arc reaching far, far into the sky.
The Scouts stood on a windy ledge, above a wide, jagged crater where,
until today, there had sat what humanity had for millennia assumed was a mountain.
Amy had felt well enough to transform and so was dressed in her school
uniform. Sailor Moon lay on her side next to them. She had materialized
moments ago and immediately fallen fast asleep.
The girls continued to stare at the sky for many minutes.
"At the end there," began Sailor Mars...
She looked over to where Ed sat, apparently not interested. His black
body-sheath was gone and he wore jeans and a wrinkled black t-shirt.
Mars continued. "There was a bright globe, just like a small sun, in the
sky. It shot off on its own in another direction.. I didn't understand that
part."
Ed sighed. "That was the whole point of this business. Two entities
joining together to trigger the genesis of a third. An offspring. Something
new."
He yawned and stretched his arms. "It would be very interesting to know
what effect Sailor Moon's presence will have on its development. But, it
will be many millennia before it matures and chooses to become either
'female' and find a planet to nest on, or 'male' and begin to seek out a
mate, and another race to help it reproduce again..."
Mars gave him a hard look and then turned to her friends. "What do we do
with this guy anyway?"
"Now that PrimeMale is gone," said Amy. "Do you still have any of your
powers?"
Ed smiled. "Ask me no questions and I'll tell you no lies."
"How about," suggested Mars. "We just leave him here and see if he can
find his own way home."
"That's harsh, Sailor Mars," said Ed. He rubbed the back of his head. "So
I guess this isn't a good time to ask if any of you want to go see a movie
with me next Saturday..?"
Jupiter marched over and glared. "I have had about enough of you!"
Ed looked up. Though the sky was a cloudless blue, a dark shadow rolled
across his features.
   And he was gone.
"Oh! That little son-of-a-" snarled Jupiter.
"Let it go, girl," said Venus. "It's over..."
"Yeah, I know," said Lita. "I just wanted to kick him one more time."
The snoozing Sailor Moon murmured something, rolled over on her back,
and continued to sleep.
"How long until she wakes up and we can teleport home?" asked Mars,
petulantly.
"No telling," said Amy, crouching down next to Serena. "She seems pretty
out of it."
"Too bad she missed all the fireworks," said Venus looked up into the sky
again.
"Judging by the smile on her face," said Raye. "I think she's seen plenty
of fire works herself."
Sailor Moon mumbled in her sleep again, and began to snore.

                              THE END
