Hi there.
Here's some more reviews on the latest stories I've found of
interest. I am also pleased to say The Lady Cyrrh website
has been mentioned in "Hot Off the Net: Erotica and Other
Sex Writings from the Internet," a compilation of erotic
poems and stories published by Black Books. The official
website for the book is http://www.mindpollen.com/hotn
and it, as well as many other things these days, can be
ordered from Amazon.com.
It just keeps getting bigger and bigger...
Among other news, the ASSTR server is going to be down
for a month or so due to server problems, and the BitBard
site will be down for the near future as well. Is anyone up
to filling the gap? The BDSM and Treksmut communities
have well-organized, stable, server sites, I can't see why
the folks in ASS can't too.
I also would like to reiterate my policy for website listings
on my links page. Such sites must be noncommercial or
semicommercial, semicommercial meaning the page is out
to sell you something (a book, fetish gear, the services of a
dominatrix, etc.) but that there is also plenty of
*interesting, quality* fiction available there for free to
balance out the sins of X-rated commercialism. Sorry,
including one or two sorry stories doesn't cut it. Neither do
I list sites of the "Hi, I'm Mary Sue Smith from Tulsa
Oklahoma and here are photos of my cats, some Garth
Brooks tunes, and <giggle> my erotic stories--" the said
erotic stories reading exactly the same as hundreds of
other people's erotic stories. Quality, originality, and
sincere attempts at writing only, please.

I'd estimate there are over 100,000 pieces of fanfiction
available on the web today. Most are related to TV shows
and movies. But there is also a rapidly growing subgenre
of fanfics based on fantasy novel series, of which the
following two stories are an example.
"Zhentilar" is based on the Forgotten Realms, an imaginary
kingdom under copyright to TSR, Inc. to serve as a setting
for role-playing adventures, though it has spawned many
novelizations as well. The story follows the adventures of a
slave trader on a mission to the northern lands to pick up
some special merchandise, namely well-trained
prepubescent boys and girls. Though the story used the
background of the TSR novels the writer brought his own
spin to it--the slave trader turns out to be not such a bad
guy after all; he's only doing his job and soon develops an
affectionate relationship with two of his purchases, both
boys. Likewise, the slave auction he attends seems to have
been based on historical accounts from the ancient world,
for the kids wear Egyptian makeup, skimpy tunics, and
perform a near Eastern belly dance, resulting in a fairly
interesting hybrid between the "canon" world and the
writer's personal interpretation of it. He also avoids the
stilted language and blandness that keep the books rated
PG.
PJ Jurado, on the other hand, specializes in fantasy novel
fanfic and has developed the knack of copying the
authors' style so closely I honestly can't tell the non-sexual
parts of his writing from the non-sexual parts of the
original book. This is both good and bad. Good, because it
allows for a smooth bridge between the original and the
imitation; and bad, because the usual writing style is
overly bland and none of the imitator's own particular
personality shines through.
"Cthrag" is based on the Belgariad series of books by David
Eddings and picks up at the end of the last book after
Garion has married Princess Ce'Nedra and settled down.
They are experiencing sexual difficulties and Garion goes
to his aunt, the beautiful sorceress Polgara, for advice, but
a malign power soon takes over their minds and they wind
up fucking each other. The Princess witnesses and runs
out in tears.
Jurado copies Edding's writing style very well, but when
the characters start having sex they stop being the
particular characters fans of the series know and love and
turn into the generic fuck-puppets that populate every
other mind control story on the net. This is too bad,
because if the author had held them in character the spoof
could have been wicked and witty instead of just wooden.

On we head into the sleek high-gloss corridors of
Treksmut, where writers have been happily slashing the
straightlaced members of Starfleet for over thirty years
now. Treksmut writers like to challenge themselves by
writing unlikely sexual pairings between the various
shows' characters, and in this story Noone has taken up
the ultimate gauntlet, namely a sexual encounter between
Capt. Picard and Jesus Christ, courtesy the magic of time
travel.
This idea may be a sacrilegious one to some, but the author
meant it quite sincerely; whether or not he or she also took
it seriously is another story. Like most slash it was written
to play on the emotions and personalities rather than
gonads, in this part for example:
He leaned close, nuzzling at Jesus' cheek before gently
kissing his mouth. One hand came up to cup his face as the
other one pulled him close. To his delight, Jesus kissed
beautifully, melting against Picard's body as his mouth
opened wide. After a few minutes Jean-Luc reached under
Jesus' robe and ran a hand up his muscular thigh. He tried
to keep his touch soft and comforting, but Jesus moaned
deep in his throat and opened his legs wider, giving Jean-
Luc access.
Did I take the story seriously? No, but I don't take anything
related to Star Trek seriously.

This story wasn't so much erotica as genre fantasy with
sexual undertones. In a world that's a mixture of
contemporary earth and Fairyland an elf and a nymph
frolic around; the nymph is gang-raped when the elf steps
away for a minute (the rape is not shown) and when the
elf returns she is dying of the violation, literally fading
away before his eyes. He grieves, but in her last moments
she sends him a message that they will again be together
one day.
There wasn't any sex in this story, only some lightly risque
frolicking, so I'm kind of puzzled as to why it was put on
the newsgroup at all. However, it was a good workout in the
fantasy genre with a few amusing elements such as the
vomit-sprites that are born from people's barf...though it
was ultimately too lightweight to work as a story in the
usual sense.

Here's yet another kind of fanfic, based on a video game
this time. This truly puzzles me. How can people get so
attached to those blocky, jerky little figures that
periodically die in horribly gory ways, and neither speak
or evince any sort of personality? (To be fair, I believe
there may be a Street Fighter movie and/or TV series out
there, but I'm not sure.) Anyway, Chun Li, the female kick-
boxer on a secret mission, fantasizes about the two male
opponents who defeated her in a recent tournament, Ryu
and Ken. But instead of kicking their nabs in she's taking
them in tandem, and masturbating herself as the fantasy
unfolds.
This was basically an OK story; how much you like it would
depend on how much you like the video game/TV
show/movie/whatever. The writer writes well, with the
caveat that nothing happens in the story that would
challenge his or her writing skills very much, and the sex
acts were on the generic side and of the kind men like to
imagine as being basic nature to beautiful, sexually skilled
females, namely a cum-hunger so strong they orgasm
from cocksucking alone. There's something insulting in a
conceit like that.

The ancient world was a tough on crime, as the author of
this story reports: "The events detailed here occurred about
30 CE in the city of Rome." Didi, an ex-slave (female) is
convicted in a plot to impersonate a god, and is crucified
with weighted fishooks on her nipples, nails through her
wrists and ankles, and her legs spread wide so everyone
can take a good look at her goods:
Your gaze focuses on your sex, never before seen in
public, and you notice how the spreading of your knees
opens the pink interior of your pussy, letting the hot
intense sunlight sear it like raw meat tossed on a heated
grill. Runny white semen slowly oozes from your open
pussy down your spread-open crack and onto the probing
horn in your asshole. You gaze, in hypnotic transfixed
wonder, at your clitoris, publicly displayed for all to see.
You try in vain to flex something in rhythm, trying to
match body movements in unison with the shocked waves
of shameful sensations flooding that prominent and
throbbing button of nerves.
Definitely not for the squeamish, though the historical
tone lends a certain amount of distance. Visceral and
haunting, recommended for BDSM fans.
