   Comforts of Iwo Jima Throughout 1944 there is a massive military buildup
on Iwo Jima, in anticipation of an American invasion.  Its civilian
population is forcibly evacuated, leaving behind an old man and his two
young granddaughters who refuse to leave.  Hiding in an underground tunnel
they are discovered by the Japanese forces and the two young girls are
forced to serve as comfort woman for the army.  After the Americans invade
the island, the girls are relieved until they are once again put into
service for the liberators.
