Play is clockwise from a "Start" square (#36) and there are two one-way shortcuts from #14 to #26 and from #32 to #8. The squares at either end of the shortcuts are "Police" squares. Two dice are used except where specified. Designed for up to 16 players, the game provides more interaction between players than a certain famous real estate board game since it is not only possible to land on a property owned by someone else but others can be called to participate at the end of every player's turn. Players start by putting their chosen token at the start, getting a $500 advance and rolling for the first move. Each player's turn consists of - 1. Rolling the dice. 2. Moving to the indicated square. a. Collect $50 on passing the Start corner or $50 and a "No Way!" card on landing on it. b. If it is an unowned property, the player can buy it. c. If it is an owned property, the player must roll again and carry out the task indicated. d. If it is one of the squares associated with a pile of cards (Police, Carnival, Health, or Turn a Trick) take the top card and carry out the instructions indicated. e. If it is the Hospital corner, rest in the Visitors area. f. If it is one of the 6 special squares (Child Support, Flat Tax, In Solitary, Double your Luck, Don't Stop Now, or Stop! Go Back) carry out the instructions specified below. 3. If it was a double, roll again - subject to the rules below. 4.
