She remembers back at the apartment how she was on her knees in Angie's bedroom while Josh was in the bathroom, begging her to come with her. Angie's answer was, "No Kit it's time to do this alone. If you're going to work there I can't be there all day to comfort you. Anyway I don't think Spec will like me sitting there, not doing anything and following you around". She stands there for a minute longer before taking a deep breath. She looks at her reflection and adjusts her pink t-shirt before taking another deep breath and going in. She walks up to the counter. The moment that she's been nervous for is happening. She's going to have to confront Spec. She slowly walks up to the counter she's on the verge of crying because of the escalating fear. It spikes when Spec says, "Good morning Kit. How are you doing?" Her heart's racing and for a moment she forgets how to talk. After a minute she manages to say, "Hey". Spec gives her a smile then shows her where to put her stuff and introduces her to Cindy, who she has already met, and her new coworker, Jen, a giant panda. After the short introduction Cindy takes her to show her around. Spec stays with Jen to show her how to use the register, clearly trying not to make this day worse on Kit by being around her a lot. As Cindy is showing her the stock she notices a book on fetishes, and thinks about Josh's. Wanting to learn more about it she makes a mental note to ask in a week or two if they have a check out system or if she can just borrow it. After the tour they go back to the front where she's shown how to use the register. She stays on the register the rest of the time before going to lunch. Cindy walks up to her and says, "It's time for lunch". She then walks into the break room, opens her purse and pulls out a ham, turkey and cheese six inch sub. She's so nervous she doesn't want to eat but can't get the voice of her mom out of her head. "You can't miss meals". As soon as she unwraps her sandwich Cindy walks in and says, "Oh Kit I was going to treat Jen out for lunch would you like to come"? Kit not wanting to say, `No', nods and softly says, "Yes, thank you". She wraps up the sandwich and puts it back in her purse for later. A few minutes later they walk into a soup and salad place. Kit can still feel lots of butterflies in her stomach except now it's just first day jitters. So she orders a salad in hopes that eating light will help her stomach. Also because of the fact she has her sub waiting on her for home. Cindy trying to relax the two girls asks, "So are you two dating anyone"? She hears Jen answer but isn't paying attention till Cindy says, "What about you Kit"? Kit frowns and says, "Don't know". Cindy smiles as she is starting to regret asking Spec to hire her. It seems to her that Kit's way to scared still. Kit not wanting to explain the situation with Josh says, "So does Spec treat you good"? Cindy frowns but don't say what she's thinking. Instead she says, "Spec is a great man. He treats me great he even already got me a gift". Kit doesn't finish the salad instead she says, "Can I take this with me. My stomach isn't feeling too good". Cindy, replies, "Kit just relax". She looks for Kit's response but sees her frozen with her mouth wide open staring out the window. Both Jen and Cindy look and see her staring at a scraggly looking wolf. Then back at Kit who's now shaking. Cindy, now concerned the job isn't going to work out, says, "Kit can you do this"? Kit has tears running down her face and says, "It's him". She doesn't relax or tell them anything till their on the way back to the store. Then once putting her things up Cindy stops and says, "What was that"? Kit now with wet eyes says, "That was the wolf that did it. That was Bill". Cindy replies, "He looked rough, but are you sure"? Kit's shaking and says, "I need to get to work to get my mind off of it". Cindy nods and says, "OK just stock the rest of the day." Later at home Kit goes straight to her room. Angie cheerfully walks in and says, "Well how was your first day"? Then she looks at her and says, "My God girl. Did you get fired on your first day"? Kit who's crying says, "No. Cindy said tomorrow will be easier". Angie crosses her arms and says, "OK then. Girl what happened"? Kit shakes for a second and says, "I saw him". Angie shakes her head and says, "You walked in on Spec pissing"? "No Angie, I saw Bill", she says before breaking off crying. Angie rolls her eyes and says, "This is the third time Kit. You need to calm down. Why would he be here"? Kit can't think of a good reply so she shrugs and says, "Your right". She calms down about thirty minutes later. She puts her half eaten salad on the table. Angie smiles and says, "Oh a spinach salad". Kit nods and says, "I was nervous and ordered the first thing I saw". "Plus I still had my sandwich", She places it on the table too. Angie smiles and says, "All I have is left over Alfredo". Kit gives her a quizzical look and says, "When did we have that"? Angie shrugs and starts eating. Kit curls her nose at Angie and starts eating as she suddenly feels hungry. After eating she grabs a towel and goes to get a shower. On the way there Angie smiles and says, "Want me to give you a reward for getting a new job"? Kit shakes her head and says, "No it was a long day". She walks in the bathroom and so does Angie despite being told not to. After Kit's undressed Angie says, "Well working girl, are you going to get a uniform for me to take off". Kit shakes her head and starts the water and gets in. Angie frowns and says, "Kit we have to do something about this fear. I hoped working with Spec would help but after the shower you're going to meet someone". Kit frustrated from the day yells, "Fuck Angie, I don't want to"! Angie laughs, "Well it seems like someone is going into heat". Angie growls and says, "Angie damn it, no I'm not. I'm tired of you always getting me to do things. I don't want to. Feeling a little singe of guilt undresses and gets in the shower and says, "Kit, listen". Kit interrupts and says, "DAMN IT, ANGIE! GET OUT!" Angie nods and does as commanded. After the door shuts Kit lets the hot water flow over her causing her bangs to go in her eyes as she cries. She stands in the shower crying till the water begins turning cold before she gets out and gets dressed. As she walks into the living room She looks at Angie baring her teeth growling because who she sees sitting on the couch. Angie frowns and says, "Kit please. This is Dr. Stephen. He thinks you may PTSD". The doctor, a red wolf wearing a gray suit, walks to her and sticks out his hand and says, "Hello Ms". Kit stops him and says, "Just Kit". He nods and says, "OK then Kit". He gives her a friendly smile. Kit looks at Angie and says, "You got me a shrink". Then closes her eyes and says, "That's a wolf". The doctor says, "Kit, please listen. Fear after that tragic of an event can cause hallucinations and other problems. Angie interrupts and says, "Doc. I noticed something. She's not afraid of you. Hell when she's with Spec her boss she's scared to death". He nods and says, "Interesting". Angie is hopeful this is already working. Though the look Kit keeps giving her is one that if looks could kill she'd b laying in a ditch somewhere. Kit looks at him shocked and says, "I'm nervous but not scared. Might be wear I'm so pissed at Angie..." She pauses, turning to looking at Angie. The doctor nods and "She's only trying to help". Kit frowns replying, "How did she get you to do a house call and so fast"? He looks at Angie who motions him on. He sighs and says, "I owe her". Angie smiles proudly. Kit shakes her head and says, "Angie you're now a whore". "Kit your acting like I ain't done this before. Remember Bobby?" Kit shakes her head and goes back to her room. Remembering, the event she's talking about. There was a basketball game that Angie and Kit was wanting to go to but didn't have admission or money for food. Angie took him under the bleacher and gave him head. He paid for both of them.
