She smiled; the world took a hike; he just knew the answer
was going to be 'no'.

"Yes."

The most hated word in the English language. Despair flooded
him; anguish delineated him; how could he hurt so?

"Do I know him?"

"It's you, silly."

"Will you marry me?"

"Yes."

The most wonderful word in the English language. Joy flooded
him; delight delineated him; how could he feel so happy?
