 UPDATE -- 1-17-08

   For those two people out there who might have some interest in this
story, I am indeed working on it.  Although it is not reflected on ASSTR
yet, the story has gone through extensive revision, and I have no less than
nine chapters written for it so far.  I believe I am finally coming near to
the end, and once I go through a process of revision, I will actually post
the complete story here.  Watch this space in the coming months.  In the
meantime, the old chapter one is still here as a teaser.
