                                              Second-rated

           Living in someone elseÕs shadow
           can be such a tiresome thing.
           No matter how I try to shine,
           somehow IÕm never seen.
           I joke about invisibility
           to hide how I really feel
           about being second best, second fiddle,
           second choice in everything.
           No matter the circumstances,
           it always seems to be,
           whoever else is available,
           is preferable over me.
           Just donÕt judge me over-harshly,
           for feeling like I do,
           maybe youÕd feel the same as me,
           if you took a few steps in my shoes.
