Bob, in his best suit, was walking down the hallway toward the Principal's office. He began to hear the thoughts of the principal, and another man. Assuming that the other man was the head of the Board of Education, he decided to listen and see if he could get any information that might make this meeting make sense to him. The principal was saying, "Sam, you don't know the boy, and I do. I say he can do it. Also we have no choice. He was asked for by name, and I do not even know how they heard about him. He should be here shortly, then we can talk to him and see what he thinks." Sam was saying, "Horace, This is highly irregular, and I can find NO precedents for it. However, if he is as good as you think, I guess it will be better than finding someone from the outside." Bob found himself outside of the principals office, so he stopped, wiped his brow, and put a puzzled look on his face. He then knocked on the door. It opened almost immediately, and the principal said, "Bob, on time as usual. Glad you could come on such short notice. Let me introduce you to Sam, he is the head of the School Board." Bob shook both of their hands, and was asked to sit in a chair that faced both of them. As he sat, Bob said, "I am confused as to why I have been called to your office, and school has not yet begun for this year." "That will be explained in a minute. Do you want something to eat or drink before we get started?" asked the principal. Bob said, "I ate just before I left home, but a glass of water would be nice." Horace picked up the phone, and dialed a number, and said, "Gladys, please bring a pitcher of cold water and three glasses to my office. Thank you." As he hung up the phone, he said, "We will wait until it gets here before we start. How is your summer going, Bob? Are you working somewhere this summer?" "Very good, so far," Bob answered. "I had a short job at a summer camp, but it is finished for the year. Now I am looking forward to my last year here, and whatever lies beyond." Sam said, "That sounds very admirable, Bob, maybe we can help there somewhat." Gladys arrived with the water, and poured a glass for each of them. She put the pitcher on the table, and left. Once the door was closed, Horace went to it, and locked it. He looked at Bob and said, "We do not want to be disturbed, and this discussion should be kept private. Do you have any questions, before we start?" Bob answered, "Not knowing what this is about, it is pretty hard to ask intelligent questions." Sam looked at Horace, and said, "Score one for your side." Horace said, "I think we are both on the same side here. Do you want to start, or should I?" Sam replied, "Let me give him some information, and then you can take it from there. OK?" Horace shook his head yes, so Sam continued. "Bob, this conversation is totally private. No one outside of the three of us should hear about it. Do you have a problem with that?" Bob replied, "No Problem." Sam continued, "You are aware, no doubt, that there are several layers of government, both state and federal above us. The information you will hear today, comes from somewhere up there. We do not know anything more than we will be telling you. Now Horace, you can fill him in." Horace said, "First, I know that you, Bob, are wondering what this has to do with you. To answer that question I am going to show you a letter. I have blotted out who it came from, and what office, in accordance with the instructions in the letter. I want you to read it very carefully, then we will talk about it." Bob took the letter, and could see that the letter head, had been blacked out with a felt marker. Also the Signature block had been done likewise. The letter read, "To the Principal of Red Line High School System. Greetings. There is a new program that is coming down for your school, to start in the fall of this year. I am not at liberty to tell you about the program, but we need your help. One of your students, a senior this fall, has been recommended to be part of the teaching staff of this program. Now since teachers must have at least a Junior Collage degree. It has been proposed that you give this student a SAT. If he passes with the medium requirement to get into a 4 year collage, he will be awarded his High School Diploma. You will then give him another test that will be sent to you if he agrees. This test will approximate a two year degree testing. If he scores at least 80% on this test, he will be awarded a degree from a local Junior Collage. At this point, he can be hired for the job that we want him for. The students name is Bob Cooky. If he refuses or cannot pass the tests, we will have to try to find another person, and that will probably delay the program by a year. Let me know ASAP the results of your interview with him." signature blacked out. Bob read the letter twice. At the same time he was trying to get information from Sam, and Horace's minds. Here he was drawing a blank, as they only knew what was in the letter. He then asked, "Does this have anything to do with the school that Mrs. Benson is attending?" "Why do you ask that, Bob?" asked Horace. Bob replied, "It seems funny that she was sent to a class, and no one knows anything about it, and now I seem to be in a similar situation." He looked into Horace's mind, and saw confusion. Sam's mind was totally blank in reference to the question. Sam said, "Bob if there is any connection, We do not know about it, so I would assume there is none." Bob thought about it for a few minutes, and said, "To me, it seems like a NO LOOSE proposition. If I take the first test and do not pass, I am right where I am now. If I pass it, and fail the second one, I get a high school diploma out of it, and don't have to come to school this fall. If I pass both, and I don't like the job, I can turn it down and will still have a 2 year degree. I would be stupid if I did not take the tests. When do you want me to start?" Horace said, "Ten AM tomorrow. Be here at least 10 minutes early. We will start at 10am, and you must be finished by 12:30. Do not say anything to anyone about this. We do not wish to see you embarrassed if things do not go right for you. See you in the morning." Bob spent the rest of the day, reviewing his old text books, and reading some of the ones he would need for his senior year. He went to bed early, so he would be quite rested for the testing. When his parents asked him why he was studying now, he answered, "Just trying to get a little ahead for this last year of high school." Bob arrived at the principals office 15 minutes early. Sam was there, and said, "I will be the proctor for the test. Take everything out of your pockets, and let me see what you have. It is not that I don't trust you, but I do not want any possibility of someone declaring that you or I cheated on the test. I am therefore recording the whole of this conversation, and for the time you are testing. I hope I am not offending you, but we must be careful. Is that all right with you?" Bob answered, "It is highly unusual, but then this whole thing is, so I see nothing wrong with it." Once he had shown everything to Sam, Sam said, "Here are three Number 2 pencils. Use them for the test answers. The test is on that table, and as soon as I close the door, you may pick it up and start." Bob picked up the test booklet, and sat down. He opened the booklet, and made sure he read all the directions, before he began reading the questions. He worked quite fast, and answered all of the questions as he came to them. At 11:45 he closed the booklet and gave it to Sam. Sam said, "Are you sure you are done?" Bob answered, "For better or worse, I am done." Sam said, "Horace will be scoring the test, and then I will also score it, to make sure we are right. We will let you know ASAP as to the results, so keep near your phone." Bob answered, "I will be home until I hear from you." About 4:30 the phone rang, and big Karen answered it. The voice on the other end said, "If Bob can hear you make like you are talking to a friend. This is the head of the school board. I and the high school principal would like to talk to you, your husband, and Bob. We can be there in 10 minutes, if the three of you will be there." Karen answered, "Susan, you know we will be here, so come on over." "Thank you, we will see you in 10 minutes," the voice said. Ten minutes later, Sam and Horace showed up. Bob was called, and his picture was taken. Then another one was taken as Sam handed him his high school diploma. Horace said, "This picture will be hung in the main hall, as a reminder to all students, that sometimes your study habits make a big difference. Now, Bob, you have an appointment with the Registrar of the Community Collage, at 9am in the morning. We will see if we can still get you into the fall semester. Be prepared to spend most of the day there." Sam and Horace then left. Jim asked Bob, "What is this all about?" Bob answered, "Dad, you know as much about what is going on as I do. Maybe tomorrow I might learn just what is going on." Bob was shown into the office of the Registrars office. The Registrar said, "Lets make this short. The test you are going to take was put together by our best teachers in child physiology. It contains questions that are normally in the classes that you would need to take. You will have 3 hours to finish. Good luck. I will proctor you and you will take the test at that table over in the corner. You may start when you get there." Two hours and fifty-eight minutes later, Bob closed the test booklet and took it to the Registrar and said, "I don't know what answers are correct, so I just answered what I would do in the given questions." The Registrar said, "You will know the results by noon tomorrow. I hope you did well." I was at the Registrars office at noon. When I walked in, he said, "Would you like to be part of the official graduation on Saturday? You qualify to be part of this class." I said, "I assume, then that I passed the exam?" "You not only passed it, You ACED it. No one has ever Aced this curriculum before. I don't know how you did it without going to a single class, but you did." Bob replied, "Since I missed my high school graduation, I would be honored to be part of this one." On Saturday, at the graduation, a big deal was made about how Bob had aced the "final" exam, being the only person to ever do so in the history of the school. It was all over the Sunday papers, so Bob became an overnight sensation in town. On Monday, PC got back from her class. She called Bob and said, "Hey smart ass, when are you going to bring my kids home?" Bob said, "PC if you keep talking like that, I will make you come and get them, if you know where they are." "Ok, you win," she said, "Now will you bring them home, I miss them. I was away for to long." Bob replied, "Ok, I guess I can do that. By the way do you mind if I bring Sarah Jane with me?" PC answered, "She can come, but she has to stay with the kids while we talk." "Why, Bob asked? PC said, "What we have to talk about is Top Secret. No one can hear what we have to talk about for a while yet." Bob asked, "And just what part of the CIA are you working for that you have such great secrets?" She chuckled and said, "Not the CIA, but close." "Ok," he said, "I will make sure that she does not hear us talk. We will be there in about an hour." PC answered, "Make it faster if you can. By the way I missed you as well as the kids." She then hung up. Bob went to Sarah Jane's house to pick up Sarge, Amos, Andy and SJ. He had a chance to talk to Sarah Jane, privately, and told her, "While we are with PC, for a while, I will have to put a dome of silence over her and I. She has something to tell me, that she says cannot be know by anyone else for a while. I hope you understand, that I must respect her request for no one knowing." Sarah Jane said, "I always trust you to do what is right, so don't worry about it. I know that when the time is right, you will tell me." At PC's house, she spent about half an hour with the three kids, and then said, "Sarah Jane, will you take charge of these hooligans? I need to talk to Bob privately." Sarah Jane said, "PC I am always happy to take care of these kids, and you know that I am not to jealous of you being with Bob." PC then led Bob to her bedroom, and closed the door. The first thing she did was to kiss him hunger-ly. While she was kissing him, Bob was setting up his mind shield, so that Sarah Jane could not listen in on their minds. Bob, when he broke the kiss, said, "PC what is so important that we have to talk privately. Since you have been gone, things have went crazy around this town, now that you are back, you seem to be doing it also." PC asked, "Do you know where I was?" Bob answered, "At some kind of class to prepare you for the coming school year, as far as I know." "Not a class as you might think of it. I was at a high level government symposium. There are radical changes coming to the school system, and you and I are going to set up the program. I engineered you getting both your high school diploma and your two year degree. I did that because I need your help on this project. Luckily you are smart enough that it worked." Bob said, "I asked if you had anything to do with it, and was told NO." PC said, "They did not know. My name was never mentioned when Sam and Horace were given the orders to do what they did for you. However, I gave the powers to be your name, and set things in motion for you to get what you got." "Ok, so just what is going to happen?" Bob asked. PC said, "First, let me fill you in on a few things. First, there has been several studies made in the past 10 years, that show that compared to the rest of the world, this country has many many more rapes of school aged children. When compared to Europe, we have 15 to each one they have. The studies suggest that our aversion to nudity has a big influence on it. Also we tend to isolate girls so that they become easy targets." "The group that I was with decided that some drastic changes should be made. For starters, all the nudity laws will shortly be nullified. This is going to be our first concern. Next children will not be excluded from seeing x rated movies, or xxx either. This we will not be two involved with." "Our school system was picked to become the first to outlaw some of these practices, and what is learned here will become universal throughout the country. You and I will start the program this fall, and we must have our plans in place within a week or two. We are going to have to work hard to set it up, and then to make it work." "There are some schools that have a program in place, that starts to break the mold, and we are going to expand on them. Have you ever heard of the NIS schools? They are Naked In School programs." Bob replied, "I have heard the initials spoken, but know nothing about them." PC continued, "Lets assume that we have a school with 7th, 8th, and 9th graders in it. Each week one boy and one girl from each of those grades is randomly selected to be nude for the week. Some allow them to wear shoes, and some do not. The boys selected, must use the girls rest rooms, and the girls the boys restrooms. In physical education, the girls must use the boys locker room and showers, and the boys the girls locker room. The nude kids must allow any touching of their bodies, as long as there is no penetration of body openings. Some schools they are only nude after getting to school, and some require them to be nude everywhere for the week. This is where we are going to start, but change it considerably. The first change is that when the child is told he/she must be nude, it will be for the remainder of their schooling. They will also be nude everywhere they go. This is the basic premise we will start with." Bob said, "What if the school and/or parents object?" PC said, "The school cannot object. This is a federal government program, and you and I have the last word. I suggest that we start with the 6th graders. They are getting ready to start into puberty, and if we can get to them before they do, I think it will be easier, than starting at the top, or bottom. Any thoughts on that?" Bob said, "That sounds good, but give me a day to think on it. Remember this is new to me, and you have been working with it for a few weeks. I will come back tomorrow, with my thoughts, and maybe some ideas that you have not thought about. Sarah Jane and I will leave in a few minutes, and that will give you time to get reacquainted with your kids. I know Sarge misses you very much, and the boys would also if they weren't having such a good time, doing just what you are thinking of." PC said, "What are you talking about?" Bob answered, "Ask the kids, I told them not to keep anything from you that they have been doing, and they have all enjoyed themselves greatly." The two of them walked back down to the living room, arm in arm. PC looked at Sarah Jane and said, "Sarah Jane I did not fuck him. However I wanted to. I know you are a little bit jealous, but I would never try to come between the two of you. Thank you so much for helping to take care of my kids while I was gone, and I will try to make it up to you somehow. Now you two go, so I can be with my kids for a while." Taking Sarah Jane home, I said, "Sarah Jane, I am going to ask you to please do not try to read my mind for the next few days. I will also refrain from reading yours for the same period of time. I do not want to put up a shield, and I think I can trust you to do as I ask. When the right time comes, I will share with you what is going on." SJ said, "Bob, I will try. I know that you would not shut me out unless it was necessary. However, please do not shut me out completely. I still want to be with you when I can." Bob said, "I also want to be with you, so physically, I will not shut you out. Also be aware that I will have to be spending time with PC, until we get a project finished." PC and Bob met with Sam and Horace. She outlined the program that we were to set up, and stated that we had the authority to pretty much do as we wanted, within the bounds of the project, and the Sam and Horace were to give all the help we needed, even if they disagreed with our ideals. She then showed us a letter signed by a very high government official, giving us almost unlimited power over the school system. PC then said, "Here is a letter. We want you to send it to the parents of every child that will be in the 6th grade this fall. Also, any new incoming 6th grade students, parents, will also be given a copy. Bob and I decided to start the project there. They will pioneer the project, and next year will carry it into the 7th grade. That year, will also see the new 6th graders put into the program, along with the Kindergarten children. Bob and I will need an office in that building, along with a secretary. Within a week, we will put forth some ideas for changing some of the building. These will be minor changes, and should not break your budget. Also, remember, our funding is NOT coming out of your budget. You will not have to worry about paying us, or providing supplies. We will get what we need from higher up."
